ONAK HOLKA SHAKA!
Simmons: We can't figure out how they work. O'Neill: *presses a button or two and makes it work* How did they not figure that one out?
It's the age old rule to make average intellect characters look cool. ...Make everybody else around them dumber.
Cronus was literally the best gaould actor and villain .it sucks he only had 3 episodes.
What episode is this from?
the biggest plothole is that Apophis Jaffa here dont have symbiotes. And as we later learn, without one a Jaffa will die within hours, and cannot travel via stargate. Meaning this was a suicide mission at best and a plothole at worst.
Unless Apophis had his Jaffa retrieve the immature Goa'uld from the fallen off screen for some reason.
This scene was cut from the Amazon Prime version.
It was so sad to see Jack admit to how he felt about Charlie. 😢
Jack always had great respect for Daniel. It was Jack who stood up for Daniel and almosted protected him when the other SF's was getting frustrated and mean on Daniel when they found out he can't realign the gate back to earth without the symbol for Abydos in the original movie.
Very sad actually that kiss and good bye was their last not long now Sha're will be taken as a host by the Goa'uld and they will never be together again. It's as if she felt something bad is going to happen, Daniel on the other hand looked a bit confused after her good bye kiss. Wth? I'm just going down the road dear.
Teal’c could have went Kratos on them.
Hammond was the right man, in the right place, at the right time. Way to go, Goa'uld; pissing off the USAF.
I like the Zats better
Jaffa are human they just have been implanted with a pouch to house the Symbiote with the side effects that entails
@Nero X they maybe genetically modified humans but they are fundamentally human
I like the little nods the system lord gives to them noding like that is thier way of saying that sounds reasonable.
Pretty sure Teal'c told Cronus to go fuck himself
I like how lord yu was the most understanding
Well all 3 of them gave of a nod of approval when told the cameras would be taken out of the rooms but left in the halls.
Cronus and nirrti go on egomaniacal rants, but Yu was all "don't want a room camera so I yanked it out of the wall, you can have it back".
if only the resolution was more than 1 pixel by 1 pixel i might have watched this
Post better yourself then instead of bitching.
We can't figure out how to operate this super advanced weapon that has an obvious lever to open and fire it Bit like, we spent 2+ years trying to decode the cover stones, failed miserably at the translation and couldn't find the seventh symbol on the gate, even though there was only ONE symbol that looked just like it. I started watching the series from the beginning again the other day and the number of times they just left staff weapons behind instead of grabbing them or using them against the Go'uld, is driving me nuts! Bullets in the beginning only seemed to have a 1% chance at actually penetrating their armour, whereas one staff shot always killed them. At the very least they could've taken them back and removed the liquid naquadah power ampule and studied it. Maybe then, the Prometheus and Daedalus ships might've had energy weapons instead of the rail guns that had little to no effect against shielded targets. Heck they could've mounted a whole bunch of those staff cannon weapons on the ship, they left enough of those behind as well.
Or maybe Hammond was trying to get Col. O’Neill to correct his report, and update the missing sections. Like that Abydos still had a gate, and Dr. Jackson still alive, there, and how those staff weapons worked, and …
Now remember, General Hammond and Jack O’Neill had actually once before…..decades ago……
So did teal'c he met Jack O'Neill. In fact he kind of lost a fight to Jack O'Neill LOL
1:10: Unless he can survive a tactical warhead blowing up in his face, i’m positive.
Love that reference to the movie
Swearing in Goauld was always cool
Two of the most vile Goa'uld, worse even than Apophis, and one who actually had a certain sense of honor. It is nice that the third did outlive the other two.
Notice how when Daniel says we will remove the cameras from your rooms but leave them in the hall they each give a mod of approval. I feel like it's a rare thing for a system lord to compromise like that.
@@thewewguy8t88 It also sets them apart from primitive humans by showing Gou'ulds aren't technologically incompetent like you might expect traditionally dressed, egomaniacal overlords to be. They don't need to utilize a technology like Tau'ri cameras to know enough of the principles to recognize a camera when they see one.
The Goa'uld are power hungry egomaniacs.
Basically like humans
Cronus had the best "Jaffa KREE!"
The start of something good.
Daniel having a quick feel... dirty old man.
"Do not show your face to me again" BITCH, He LIVES there!
SG1 has the best, most logical, and most needed retconning ever
There was no need for any retcon at all. The movies mythology was just fine as it was. The only reason a retcon was needed was to give the series a means of doing whatever it wanted.
what the retconed in relation to the movie exactly?
@@MIGBMWLOVER First thing I can think of, in the movie Abydos was described as being ‘on the other side of the known galaxy’ but in SG-1 it was the closest world the gate could reach to explain why they could only dial there until they compensated for stellar drift.
@@michaelbeemer8019 ah no biggie for me at least, I probably never paid any attention in the scientific bubble in the movie except that it is connected to ancient Egyptian mythology and the symbols that are the Abydos address.
Well, “Known Galaxy” could be subjective enough to still hold true at the time.
Its nice to have goals. Mines to see how long I can hold my breath while balancing a penny on my nose.
Much healthier than Tealc's!
Damn it Daniel
I love this episode. It gave us a chance to see a few of the Gould, plus a glimpse into their personalities.
They're self absorbed pieces of s with a god complex.
I dont care what you say people , this SHIARE... was the best one.
How did Apophis go back thru the gate if they didn't have a dial panel in SGC?
Got his guards to rotate it manually
@@Cx10110100 script shows Anubis had a wrist device
Snake technology, obviously.
Milky Way gates can be manually dialled, and have enough charge from an incoming wormhole to dial back out again.
If there is a dead Jaffa at the base wouldn't they have found the Goa'uld?
As stated by the doctor, they hadn't preforomed the autopsy yet. Just making assumptions by what they could currently see. Once they started cutting him open, they would most certainly have discovered the Prim'ta.
Most likely Apophis guards took larval goaulds with them back to Chulak.
The natural conclusion here is that while this being may have been of the same species as Ra, he was obviously another individual of that species. The only way it could be Ra is if he actually could survive a tactical nuclear device exploding in his face and that is simply beyond the realm of belief.
Thank you...?
At this point in the Series the common belief was that the Stargate only went to 1 address , it was the ' find ' on Abydos that opened up the possibility of more than 1 location . The human built computer system to operate the Stargate didn't take into account for ' Stellar Drift ' in an ' Expanding ' universe , after they found the ' Cartouche ' on Abydos Sam and Daniel collaborated into the ' Stellar Drift ' position . Which then led to Samantha Carter updating her computer system to allow for ' Stellar Drift ' in the calculations and randomly spitting out new addresses for all of the current stargate locations throughout the entire galaxy .
Funny thing is, Apophis wanting a hot host for his wife triggered the eradication of the system lords.
So, much like Greek mythology, most of the Goa'ulds' problems are because he couldn't keep it in his pants?
@@gatedude07 95% of Greek mythology, either Athena got jealous and cursed someone, or Zeus couldn't keep his pants on.
@@That9one1Guy Pretty sure you're thinking of Hera, not Athena.
@@GoldenPantaloons Eh, I'd 50/50 split it at best. They both did a LOT of cursing people...
@@That9one1Guy and still the didn't explore Greek Mythology in the show...
No need to reboot sg1 it’s perfect as it is
All Hail Hammond of Texas
Hmm, i want jaffa cakes.
I went to. The store and there are no jaffa cakes. I'm now upset
@@NicoDiAngelo603 What a tragic saga.
1:05 You know, Anubis survived worse...
apophis and ba´al also survived a lot
@@Alegost1 Aphophis did not survive Faceplating on a Planet at near lightspeed. And Ba'al cheated by cloning.
Anubis was also a half ascended being. Not the same. Not at all the same.
@@kellyrayburn4093 yeah anubis can´t be killed... except maybe with merlin´s weapon, but then you kill all the ancients as well....... which might not be a bad thing considering how much trouble they caused for the galaxies
@@Alegost1 Ba'al died, many, many times over (clones).
Teal'C is the last guy in 3 galaxies I would want to piss off
And that's WITHOUT a Leviathan Axe.
Fascinating how the staff weapons are changed so they are more single target weapons.
It's possible that Ra kept the best toys for itself.
You could tell Jack had respect for him i mean come on he invited him to his house when Jack likes to be alone
Tea'lc is swearing revenge the same revenge oddly enough Bra'tac made him swear not to invoke when he found out his wife got remarried which given the differences between the two situations somewhat confusing.
Yay ⛽️🎁
O'Neal handled that staff weapon like a boss.
O'Neill, with two L's. There is another O'Neil in the airforce, but he has no sense of humour.
@@derianvandalsen I love that there's almost always someone to bring this up whenever someone says "O'Neil".
Back then when they still believed Daniel could really die without coming back...
"Will you EVER stop fighting?" "Not untill I'm dead. And sometimes not even then."
This is sooo my roomate and me at the moment!! She always wants to convince me that i can't stay up all night binge watching Stargate SG 1 and survive on coffee...😂😂
Now there are TWO of them! This is getting out of hand!
We should not have made this bargain!
