So, the entire episode, which is also easily found on RUclips (it's called The End of the World, season 1, episode 30, 1958) is about a guy named trump who comes to the town to tell them that meteors are going to rain down at midnight (the Perseids meteor shower), and he can help them build a "wall" that will protect them. This "wall" is umbrellas that have been painted with markings and supposedly have some magnetism or some kind of thing that will repel the meteors. So he swindles the town into forking over their possessions to buy these umbrellas to save their lives from the meteors. It's a fairly typical "snake oil salesman" story - it just so happens that the nefarious character is named Trump. Could be definite similarities to today's Trump, but no more similar than the countless stories like that that have been told throughout the ages. Even the term "big lie" - the whole reason we use that term now is because of its history. The show is not predictive, it's more that what's happening now is just history repeating itself and people falling for the same scare tactics over and over, just packaged differently.
