Hypotheses?! You have to correct that, because it is one of the highest certainties we have about anything ever! We are hypothesizing about basal organisms and viruses, extant worms and stuff only. They don't have abbreviations. Pro is from Latin; in support of (for) Con is from Latin; against Pros and cons are plural.
