Just want to let you know that I really loved the time you spent editing loved your tutorials and most importantly loved how well you simplified initially complex concepts in editing. I am in no way implying that you come back to editing, honestly I came to this video to request that you share your cracked version of the magic bullet looks. Are you trying to copy the ENTIRE Sims 4 folder? You shouldn’t have to, just files and folders relevant to you within the Sims 4 folder. Namely mods, tray, saves, and screenshots/videos (if there’s anything in there you care about in there). Also the usersettings file in the main folder if you did the early purchase incentives unlockables. As the ‘unlock’ code is saved there. I usually copy just these over to a dated backup folder then selectively replace on a reinstall. Or (if I need to) after an update. Also do you have a tester save? You don’t need to make a long term marraige/commitment to it but its a save you feel safe fully opening with all mods turned off and/or no mods installed. Don’t worry about changing anything in this save or how much you like/dislike the townies and houses in this save. Who cares about the EA builds, you won’t be playing here long. It exist FOR TESTING without mods and without ruining or affecting your main save. To make one start a new save randomize a sim, throw them in a house, and save right after hitting the world map. This save should be created with mods OFF or uninstalled. After an update or change I will use this save just to see how the game is running without interacting without anything but itself (mods either uninstalled or turned off). Play for like 10-15 minutes doing anything you want. All good?…Don’t save, who cares, just exit. reintroduce the mods folder -open the TEST , do some playing see how it goes. Again, don’t save!!! Even if your mods are updated they could either have a newly introduced conflict or maybe a modder made an error. They are single coders as well often with only themselves for checks. Script mods are the most likely to mess your UI up. also, having a safe-to-open duplicate of your main save (don’t start progressing in it) allows you to play test before moving forward in any save you care about. They double patched yesterday so I am intentionally playing offline for a bit. I have given up the gallery because I had a renovation of a gallery Rec Center in progress in my save and needing to do all my update day checks would have just derailed the process n that for my new base save I am working on. So no gallery access for me for a couple weeks by choice, I have enough to do without explicitly needing the gallery yet. When I am ready then I’ll allow the update and do a round of mod cleanup.

Hi, you dont need to move your folder, just rename it and when you open the game it will create a new one, I always do this when i dont wanna move big folders or for backups.

Oh gosh!! I used the gallery yesterday and it was fine for me. Tho I saw the red x’s when I was looking at packs on the main screen the other day, but it wasn’t over every object. Hopefully the upcoming update helps it!

One thing you could try is using the command prompt to move the file, though I'm not sure why it would be any different from moving the file with the file explorer but it's worth a try. And even if it doesn't work, you may just get an error message that can help you. Assuming you have windows, just a quick rundown of what to do: 1. Press the windows key then search for command prompt, then start it as administrator (I'm not sure if admin is needed, but if it doesn't work this way then I don't think there is much else you can try.) 2. then all you have to do is to type in this command: mv <file to move> <destination> you can copy the file path from the file explorer, make sure that you copy the whole path (I don't have my pc with me rn so I'm going off of memory but I think triple clicking on the path at the top next to the search bar will select the whole text, you might have to type in the file name after that manually in the command). Oh and leave out the <> symbols, I just put them there for readability's sake. If there are folders in the filepath that have spaces, you will probably need to add quotation marks, because otherwise the space breaks the path.

EA has increased recently the minimum requriments for Sims 4. You should check that out as this could be an isssue. Sims 4 now uses also Direct X 11 (improved software programm that improves the graphic elements) meaning it uses more RAM. I don't know your specs but here are some other possible issues that could cause the Gallery to show you the red X. It could be that you may have a RAM issues - Meaning you might need to upgrade your RAM, as you may perfom at 100% (check the task manager for that) on your Desktop PC. If you use a laptop (task manager) it might be time to upgrade either to a new one or switch to PC. CC, Mods and High Poly items "mostly Alpha CC" are a heavy extra weight as such assets need more RAM and Processor Speed. In this case the computer needs to calculate the vertices each second (doing math operations) in order to show you alpha meshes, especially if you play with a ton of Alpha in your game and you may don't have the technical hardware-backup (RAM, Processor, Graphic Card) for this sort of meshes. MM vs. Alpha CC Maxis Match Sims have usually around 30k (without CC) up to 50k (with MM CC)polygons. Some MM meshes are higher in poly especially "hairs" . So you should always check the polycounts. Up to 5K is low poly - 5 - 12k medium everything above is considered as high poly. (based on EA meshes) Alpha sims reach easily more than 100k per sims. It can quickly reach a usage of 1 Billion if you play with a couple of sims and have e.g. high poly meshes on the Lots as well. Depending on how much alpha cc you have in your mods folder there could be the culprit you would need to get rid of and reduce it if you can't afford an Upgrade. Many don't know how polygons work and are surprised if they have such issues as they don't understand or do not consider that RAM and processor needs to be also taken in considertation not just the graphic card. There is a valid reason why the gaming industry is avoiding high polygons. High Polygons does not always mean better quality. Hence why every simmer should always check the meshes with S4S under the tab meshes for the polygons. Peacemaker (perfect example for low poly meshes with high quality textures) Serenity CC or Sentate (maxis match CAS items stays within the frame of MM polygons but delivers as well high quality meshes. For that you would need to check with Sims 4 Studio the alpha meshes. As soon they have more than 30.000 polygons I would use them rarley or toss them to the bin. The Unreal Engine 5 has a Nanite technology in this case polygons do no longer matter but Sims 4 is an old game and well it wasn't made with the Unreal Engine 5 as we know🙃. You can also try to delete all files "exept for Mods, Saves, Tray in your Sims 4 Folder. In this case the game will regenerate the needed folders again. Note: If you have several thousands tray files (reduce them to a small amount or copy and remove it to see if the gallery opens again. All this uses RAM if that is your issue. Use rather maxis match items and reduce the amount of mods you don't use that often. Back them up and create an archive and switch the items if you need to. If you have way to many GB of CC based on how much RAM you have? This could be the reason why you can't access the gallery. You would need to experiment and see how much CC your pc can handle. In my case it was a "Me" Problem. I needed to upgrade my PC (pretty much everything) and I never had this issue ever since. 😊 I could use now a ton of alpha CC but I don't want to reduce the performance of my pc and neither the lifespan as it was quite expensive as you can imagine. I have some CAS Alpha items that I love but I keep it limited due to the fact some Alpha items are just too amazing 😆😁But those are carefully selected and checked! I use save - based CC that means each save has their own set of CC I use e.g. Steampunk, Cyberpunk, Gameplay, mostly named after the main character and I switch (move) for the CC in case I want to play a specific save. Hope you can find the culprit and and you might can access the gallery again. 😉 Copy / Move issue: 1. Have you tried out the "cut out" option? Back up saves and tray and remove the game and install a fresh copy Happy Simming! 🤗

I followed instructions but I'm not getting the popup saying it's installed in sims 4, I put a preset anyways just in case but the preset doesn't seem to be showing up as expected, does anyone know how to fix this?

Can't believe Cyra is an adult now and Cherry's gen has come to an end. She was such an interesting sim. I have mixed feelings about Cherry and Hunter because I like how the relationship went a full circle and also there has definitely been feelings towards each other throughout all of this, but I also feel weird seeing Cherry settle down and I get a bit golddigger vibes from Hunter because he has seemed more into Cherry as she has gotten more famous...

Hey, if you have MCCC, you can deactivate death by emotions with MC Tuner on the computer. That's what I've done cause I hate when it happens lmao. Also, with the mischief skill you can troll the forums on the computer and it will get the skill up a little bit more :) x

I had somehow missed the three latest episodes. I love how evil Cherry is in terms of her relationships. I always play as cheaters in Sims (even when I would never cheat irl) it just brings the drama I want to the game :D Remember to bring the urns from the last house along the graduation picture!
