Fat Tire Bikes and Stuff
Home Depot Parts Run
Since its a BEAUTIFUL Day of 53°F . I went to HD for some parts for the electric drier to be able to vent the exhaust through a lint filter and a backdraft valve .
I did not find anything I liked to make it work so will have to order on line.
While I was there I was looking at the new Ryobi USB 4V lithium battery tools to see if I could use some of them since I recently bought the 3 tool kit I was thinking about buying the MultiHead kit as well that uses the same battery .
But no luck will have to order that as well.

Red tailed hawk. And what a cutie
Thank You for the info appreciate it because I don't know much about different types of birds.
Hawk Tua
Red tail hawk just hanging out low for a look. I see them from Vermont to Pennsylvania, mostly in fields and marsh areas. They seem to be thriving, they are all over.
It's a penguin 🐧
It's a red-tailed hawk (Buteo jamaicensis)! They're the largest Buteo hawk around these parts! They're the hawks I see the most because they're fairly common and they don't hide as much as other hawks
Red-Tailed Hawk
Thanks for the info Is this type of bird common here in the north east and so close to cities ????????
@ Yes; I see them frequently in Queens, Jersey, CT & PA
awesome video helpfull for my rk3 on my e-motorbike ^^ (your cam is not in the right angle but when you show the peice you goes up, so we can see 👍)
Yea I know its wrong angle didn't notice it until I had finished with the hub. This rk3 is off my Wolftrax bbshd ebike I had converted because I converted all my bikes to ebikes with SX-RK3 hub on them . Thank you for the reply and glad it helped you if you have any other ???? just ask .
Okay I want to try
Fun fact: the reason I cut the wires because the M60 750w wires are 5’ long. The wires on the M60 1000w are only 2’ long. So I had to cut the 750 wires and join them with the 1000w wires to be able to fit the wires inside my bike. So for yall thinking of upgrading to the 1000w M60 just remember the wires will only be 2’-3’ long 👨🏽💻
You didn't have to cut the wires all you have to do what just change out the controller and if you did that you wouldn't have to splice anything. FYI this is the same gearing as the M620/G510 but is CANBUS connector
You don’t know who gave you the M60, 🤷🏽♂️ bro I couldn’t even get a shout out hehehehehe 👨🏽💻
Of course I know who gave it to me but I did not mention it because some people prefer UNAMED
My only concern with 'fat-tire' anything is the tire replacement costs. Unless they've come down a lot, last time I looked they were upwards of %400 of what a standard narrow wheel equivalent costs. It's like, what, ~$25 at walmart for a replacement 26" narrow tire? This was a while ago but last time I looked a replacement 'fat-tire' was close to $200 and even more for oddball sizes. Great looking bike regardless! Mid-motor?
Well I am not sure where your shopping at but the average cost of a 28x4.0 fat tire is about 50 USD and the Spider tire that happens to be on this bike is about 80 USD but on the other fat bikes I have they cost about 50 USD each tire and 10 USD for a tube
@pharrohku5922 yeah it's been a while since I priced them out. Good to see they've come down a lot.
@@Lickemstick I am also glad as well and I still haven't put the motor on it yet . I have so may projects going on .
I'm assuming this whole contraption you're working on is a mid-engine for an e-bike? If it is, I've always wondered how the gear reduction, inside, looks. You'd think that the smarter way to go would be to isolate and separate the controller from the vibration laden motor/gear case. Planned obsolescence?
Well when you do seal the motor back up it has a rubber gasket between the chambers from the gears to the controller side . In this video I was trying to see if I could use the controller from a used motor that a guy gave to me .
Nice
Thank You I enjoyed the ride.
Why you didn’t call me? You know I’m always down to ride to the rockaways!! 720p?🤷🏽♂️

Sigma micheal
what does Sigma micheal "" mean""
It’s a really cool trikes & definitely inspiring 😇
Thanks for the inspiration and will be changing the front tire for sure and adding a middrive motor
That would be so cool if it had like a pedal assist and maybe gears instead of a direct drive. Im sure it could be a very cool bike concept!
Sorry maybe its not a good enough video but it DOES have a 7 speed freewheel on it the black ring you see that looks like a direct drive is actually a Differential drive like a car has when one wheel looses traction the other bites in and gets traction .
@@pharrohku5922 i notived the DIFF but not the 7 speeds. Still, cool project. Just ride safe on the street and wear a helmet please.
@@creeplickitaOFFICIAL ADSOLUTLY ALWAYS wear a helmet I just tested it in my drive way in this video when I took it to my friends shop I wore a helmet even though I road on the sidewalks. its to slow for the street. or at least when I am peddling
@@pharrohku5922 im imagining you in a motorway with the eletric auxiliary motor attached to the pedals 😂😂😂
@@creeplickitaOFFICIAL Yea I guess you could picture that but with this thing and Like the other one I made I never did ride on the street even though the other one reached 23mph top speed with the Ultra m620 middrive motor on it . I ONLY rode it on the trails and the sidewalks to get to the trails as in a couple other videos I made with it . I wasn't comfortable enough to ride it on the street and when I did cross the streets it just felt WEIRD sitting at the same height as the cars.
Video is not great and way too much jittery going on.👎🏾 I guess they think most users will compromise with these performance issues because the price is much lower than the ones that perform great.
I just uploaded another video using this same camera with the settings of 2.7k EIS enabled and the jittering has mostly GONE away but the video is not as good as I would like but I think it has something to do with the waterproof case is distorted in some was I will have to change that to see if it makes a difference because when I use the camera in its original case attached to my body harness the video is very good with no distortion. UPDATE :: I also learned that EIS does NOT work when camera set to 4K it auto DISABLES IT. Watch it here ( ruclips.net/video/sSNj2wmn2b0/видео.html )
Also, I have the 5K version of IceFox K80. And my videos look better than this so I assume things were improved. I can shoot 5K, 30fps and 4K, 60fps I only paid $86 + tx for it. And, I can use a 256GB mini-SD card [Samsung Pro 256] --- camera formatted it fine and saves all my videos and stills.
Good for you am glad you like the camera and I like this one even more as a play with it and use it on my body mount strap i have as well and it seems to work better when I record at 2.7k because the EIS does NOT work on 4k recording at all . When you change the resolution on the camera it automatically turns OFF the EIS so most of the recordings are in 2.7k but YT knocks it down to 1080p on some videos. Like this one.. I also notice the Time stamp it ok but you have to RESET it when changing the battery EVERY TIME it does NOT remember the time setting so I use 1 battery and a external battery bank and just record that way . I use a Micro center 128 gig sd card ( FREE ) and I have rode many hours and still have plenty of space left on it . The camera does get hot after using it for a couple hours and so far has NOT shut down YET waiting for that one. when I recorded with my Sony Phone after a while it would shut down to protect itself from over heating
First, the EIS doesn't look that bad for that camera. Second, you're not the safest driver around. And, why didn't you at least take some still pics of the camera itself so we know exactly what the camera you're using looks like -- its styling, etc?
Well I guess why i didn't take any pictures of the camera it self is because I was not required to make a video review of the camera . ( besides it looks just like any other action camera out there they all look the same anyways ) It was given to me by my wife and she some how got it for free without having to make a review or feedback rating . Yea your right about the EIS but its still not as good as some others in this price range.
Hello dude, is this the same icefox camera you use in the previous video you posted on 2023/10/2? This quality is much better than the previous one. Cuz I want to buy one on Amazon. Thank you very much.
Yes it is the same camera I had just gotten it and was playing with the settings and now I think its best set to what I am using it for in 2.7k mode because the EIS does NOT work in 4K mode I learned this later after some testing and reading instructions and I really like the Touch screen feature . My wife got this one from amazon as a promotion deal I do not know how much she paid for it but I looked it up and it was about 50 usd.
@@pharrohku5922 really useful information! Any requirements for the micro SD card for the 2.7k recording with eis mode? Thank you.
@@sochifung61 I am using a Micro Center 64gig micro sd card I think its a class 10 card not sure about that though I got it free when I had a coupon for a free choice for a thumb drive or an SD card. So far I haven't filled it up before having to change the battery but keep in mind when you change the battery you have to set the time again it does NOT keep the time set in memory but all the other setting seem to stay only time NOT staying
28mph lol.
I built a 1500 watt fat tire 48 volt e bike and all from Amazon 1,000 bucks.. 33mph I'm putting another battery on it to double the mileage $300 fat Tire Bike $300 1500 watt motor $400 48v battery
Yea sure you did but I bet its a HUB motor NOT a MidDrive one so good luck on the steep hills yours will struggle and also you can NOT utilize the gears like a MidDrive BBSHD can so if I wanted it to go faster I just change the Main Chainring I could also hit 35mph but I gear mine for mostly trail riding so if I hit a really STEEP hill I will have NO issues going up it in first gear if need be . Yea I could build a GENERIC HUB motor 1500watt fatbike for that amount but you can NOT COMPARE a MIDDRIVE to a HUB motor they are completely different animals

It's not a gauge. Its called a dial indicator and it's used to read runout or to find the peaks and valleys in several processes like finding top dead center on a piston's stroke when dialing in a cam or for truing up items in a lathe chuck, similar to what your doing with this truing stand. The more you know... the less you look like a moron.
HUH the less I look like a MORON ???? That's NOT very NICE Just because I didn't know what a SPECIAL TOOL was used for or what it was called I am a MORON ???? Thanks for the info I knew it was for something like that but wasn't sure what it was called . So I just called it a gauge because it looks like a Gauge that measures stuff. Anyway I got it give to me so I tried to figure out what I could use it for rather than letting it sit in the case and not being used since I am NOT a mechanic. But it does WORK WELL as a WHEEL TRUING tool for my Bikes rather than having to buy a 2 or 3 hundred dollar specialized FATBIKE wheel stand
Bad mistake drilling them drop outs they look weak under pressure
It was original a through axle I had to do this way in order to fit the Sturmey Archer sx-rk3 3 speed hub and in the middle of the hub on the axles are steel sleeves for reinforcement Also everything seems to be doing great so far haven't had any issues with slippage or movement because I think when I installed the hub with the additional sleeves on the axles helped alot
So fat for over a year or so now the owner of the bike has went through a couple sets of tires and has had NO ISSUES with the way I had to MOD the frame in order to convert it to drop outs from through axle. Vinnie just updated me with pictures whit some new tires on the bike about a month ago and he is loving it .

Thanks for posting this ! I just went over this on Friday for the first time. I live in the Rockaways and went down woodhaven. I have a behemoth of an Ebike 26” fat tire it’s about 75” long etc. I wasn’t sure at first I could maneuver through that but I did. It’s filthy in there food, garbage, poop etc. Broken glass

I don’t blame you. I went to Manhattan from the east end of the Rockaways where I live. Im in Bayswater area. I rode over the Ed Koch Bridge then to Central Park. We all know how tri bikes handle. People will get hurt...bad!
Yes I agree with you but they are still fun to ride . You just have to be careful when riding it is all.
If you ride it like a damn fool then of course someone will more than likely get hurt. Duh.
If one is going to build a 3 wheeler. Think BIG wheels of the 60's & 70's. You need to sit low to the ground with a big wheel up front, small heels in the back. Otherwise you may be seeing a wheel chair in the near future.
Saya mau beli di mana ya sepeda ini ? I want to buy this bike , sir ?
I built this about a couple months ago and its sitting in the garage waiting for the first SNOW so I can try it out on the snow and see how it performs. I do ride it once and a while because everyone loves it when I head into the local town and scoot around a little but like most people love it but want something like it but dont wanna spend any money on one or get someone to make it for them because its too expensive. . Most or all other 3 wheel trikes ONLY 1 wheel has power and the other is just a roll along UNLIKE this bike it has Slip Posie traction like a car with a differential rear end
OK Make me an Offer I cant Refuse
Luckily you weren't going to fast, wear a helmet if you don't,Where you sitting or standing on the pedals, standing and leaning might help in this situation,I've been looking into a trike conversion kit just for fun
Yes I was standing and leaning the right way and after sitting a bit and looking i see that my front wheel hit a Large Limb hidden under the leaves and just bounced the front wheel up and i rolled over to the right side because i was already leaning in that direction after i hit it and just rolled down the small embankment . There were alot of rocks and stuff just before the area I had space to go around the tree so I wasn't going very fast at that point when i hit the hidden log. I am kind of used to this because i used to ride the OLD Honda ATC's Back in the day and this handles just like one of those. Even now this is alot of fun and you get a good workout as well If you do get a trike kit make sure of 1 thing MAKE SURE IT HAS A DIFFERENTIAL REAR END . That way you will have a rear end just like a CAR so if 1 wheel looses traction the other will get traction. Mine also has DUAL DISC brakes as well Most all AVAILABLE Trike kits ONLY have 1 wheel power and the other is just a roll along. Most kits the right rear has power and the Left rear is the roll along
I need a gopro myself,so I can post some videos, try looking for a pole mount or helmet mount or chest mount 👍
This camera footage and recording is my Cell Phone with EIS and it works pretty good I reduced the video quality down so I dont reach my limit perday upload from 4k recording to 1080p or 720p sometimes. I recorded with a Sony Xperia XZ Premium. I did have a gopro hero 8 on the bike but the sony is better
Chinese designers have good taste. They produce beautiful models.
yes I can agree on that I really like the frame design that is why I bought it in the first place back in 2015 . But they do have ONE big problem though there QUALITY control is pretty BAD and this frame is NO exception the rear swingarm is bent from the factory or you might call it PREBENT meaning that the jig they had used was NOT straight because the rear wheel is offset by about 7mm when you mount the wheel in the frame. Also the rear left swingarm is about 6mm higher in height than the right side. Meaning if you remove the wheels and sit the frame on a flat surface it rocks back and forth like a seesaw. The factory had sent me a new swingarm but as before it was also PREBENT out of the box and I am not alone on this issue because there are a few YT videos showing this was a big issue and the ones i watched they got replacements from the company as well and there NEW ones were PREBENT as well. Rear swingarm pivot point has a Stainless Steel Pin and PLASTIC bushings and NO BEARINGS of any kind so about after 500 miles on it the SQUEAKING NOISE begins and its actually the swingarm rubbing against the actual frame meaning its METAL ON METAL because the PLASTIC bushings got torn up . I got a local bearing shop to make some tapered bearings to fit the swingarm so i dont have to worry about it anymore. This PREBENT issue also throws off the trike build because when your riding it wants to PULL to the left and you have a serious workout after about 15 minutes of riding even on flat level ground . So I am gonna have to remount the rear kit offset on the left about 6mm to compensate for the PREBENT swingarm and hopefully this will solve the problem of the pulling left issue. We shall see but other than these couple issues I really like this frame that is why I have spent so much time on fixing these issues that should NOT have been this way in the first place.

that there is pretty awesome. the only thing that I can think of, to make it even more awesomeR is, a hub motor on the front and another battery. just think about that. in the snow or on ice, you could still drift the rear, whenever you want, and when you get too sideways you could push the thumb throttle, for the front to pull you out of the skid. not too mention the added boost in power.
Your right on that would work great I do have 2 battery's on it as of now and am thinking of removing the rear 13ah and install it with a 20ah or 30ah one on the rear and that would give me a totasl of 33ah or 43ah and the range would be unbelievable. I also Upgraded the display to a BL181 from ebay seller ( mossenebikes )for only 28 bucks and its an all in one small display ( www.ebay.com/itm/155008068679 ) I was never too keen on hub motors I used to own a few of them back like 8-10 years ago but they could never give me the power I wanted unless they were this MASSIVE thing in size and they weigh so much and throws off the balance of the bike is one reason I stopped using them but they do have there place in E-Bikes
What’s this, lost footage🤷🏽♂️ hehe hit me up, let’s ride 🚴🏾♂️
Yes it is I was going through some old video and found this . I ride everywhere even the rockaways I am in Queens Ridgewood.
Upload video of test ride Looks like 3wheel dirtbike from back in the day
Yea I know right and remeber the OLD Honda ATC's it handles just like one of those but with a soft suspension which I think makes it even more Sketchy to ride . Seems a little more stable when I do a Lockout on the suspension at least on the sidewalks but much more fun with full suspension enabled
@@pharrohku5922 I have a bbs02 and its fast I can only imagine how fun it would be on the tricycle off-road
@@avilaluis8760 The company is sending me a new set of replacement axles and when I get them and install them I was wondering the same thing how it would handle on some of the local dirt trails here I am in Queens NY and think Forest Park would be a good Test for this trike because i ride that park alot with my other Fat bikes with BBSHD kits on them This is the Ultra G510 motor and plan on adding a cool little basket to the back of it . Also I think being its a slip posse traction rear-end Its gonna be a Blast in the SNOW during the winter time. Here is the latest Build I did and it performs very well on the trails and street also top speed is 31mph ( ruclips.net/video/WMPGlUsyxmI/видео.html ) Update the NEW axles are installed and running smooth so its about time I try it out on a local trail and see how it handles .
@@avilaluis8760 The new axles are installed and I will post a video of the thing on the local trails and see how it handles nothing to course for the first run but i think it will do good with a better rider on it than what I can do.
@@pharrohku5922 that's cool I'm looking forward to it, your bike is awesome
Damn looks dope
Thank you am riding it alot its so smooth its the best programing of the BBSH I have ever done and it really is that smooth with throttle and pedal assist
You can also use large stainless steel worm thread hose/duct clamps with or without shrink tube. Two of them one around the motor housing and the other one around the first clamp and the frame. Kind of like with the new M625 motor. Not that pretty but it works.
You right that will work as well but. I really didnt want as you said FUGLY look on the bike The only reason I did this at this time I had the ERROR 08 and figured since I had to do a resolider of the Hall sensors I noticed the motor was loose and figured there was a better way than the ones that you mentioned or premade
@@pharrohku5922 I just replaced my BBS02B to BBSHD and at first i put those ugly bands but quickly replaced them with 7.6mm zip ties. I would have put even thicker ties but that was the largest option in that store. It's not that bad because they are around the center of the motor and one zip tie around down tube. Each of those ties should hold around 60kg:s so will see... Not that ugly though. Here is link to a photo: drive.google.com/file/d/1_kukezTZGqAZpplBuJJAovmEzsS9KSeO/view?usp=sharing
Funny thing is that even without any additional brackets and holders that previous BBS02B motor did hold up just fine. I'm not sure if it's because that frame is steel and not that soft or what was the reason. With alloy frames i've had that problem. With those zip ties around the motor it's easier to put all those extra cables also in order. For some reason my battery cradle came with XT60 connector and the motor had Anderson connector. Also came with a too long adapter cable and i don't know what was the reason for that? Have to find somewhere a shorter adapter or replace that battery cradle connector.
