It's a common impression that you MUST have a tank in DA2 on higher difficulties, especially for a boss fights. As you can see, Fenris isn't built as tank, but one of the more difficult fights went smooth. Mods used (can be found on Nexusmods): Fenris Lyrium Ghost fix by Ashtar; Evolving Ream-Ward by Sunnie; Orlesian Noble Light armor by Aremeta (evolving mage Champion's analogue).

And yet Dragon Age Keep does not permit that possibility. In fact, they don't even permit the possibility of Aveline leaving you at all if Fenris was never recruited.
Yes, it does. When you go into the Dragon Age Keep, you can have it say that Fenris died in the final battle and that Aveline did not stay with Hawke. I don't know how much of the Keep decisions actually translate properly into Inquisition cause certain things are set in stone. I had an Aggressive Blood Mage Fem Hawke but when I plugged her into the Keep, she was vehemently against Blood Magic in Inquisition, and I was like "Girl, hypocrite much?" xD

The Tevene language takes from the Elvhen language. (: In the Tevinter dialect, it's actually spelled "Venedhis".
Are we really surprised when anything Tevinter has is Elvhen in origin?
Judging by the revelations back at What Pride Had Wrought, it isn't surprising that Tevinter took too much from Arlathan.

Why would aveline not stand by hawke?
It depends how you treat her throughout the game. If you don't score enough Friendship or Rivalry points, and you ignore her personal request, don't have her marry Donnec, and get her to resign the Guard, she'll most likely turn on you during Final Straw (provided you sided with the Mages). Siding with the Templars is automatic Aveline support, no matter how good of a relationship you have.

Dare Reale No, everyone has lines like those because you could level up Fenris’ dexterity if you wanted to, thus making him able to spot/disable traps and unlock things. But since he’s a warrior no one would do that.
I think he was talking about Orana instead, given his peaceful wording of the woman. He was venomous after dealing with his sister, I doubt he would take so sweet about her so soon after. When you give Orana coin after freeing her from the bitchy magister, he worries she’ll be robbed easily since she’s never been free before, so she’s an easy target for the corrupt of Kirkwall. I guess there must have been options to ether have her live with him (probably ether like a kid sister if Romanced, or as a lover if not, like Tali and Garrus lol) or have him arrange transportation safely away, since he’s been on the run for so long, he knows how to handle keeping hidden for times.

@@tinycrownarts3145 isn't the other way around. Fenris seconhand hired Hawke to help him with some mercs. At least that's how I remember it.
@@TheLizardWizard_the2nd at first he asked Hawke to help with Danarius and give him all the coin he had in return, and once you clear Danarius’ mansion, you can enlist Fenris to join you as a hired blade.

@@toritsubasa816 I’m glad he’s my epic damage dealer instead, I’d be lost without him tanking and destroying everything (hell, running through Feniyrel’s mission, he’ll murder me when he goes with the pride demon unless I strip him of his points beforehand with maker sigh)
