Welcome back to The Better Everyday Podcast where we are unlocking our best self one episode at a time! In today's episode, we dive deep into the dynamic of love and respect in marriage. But what happens when these needs go unmet? We discuss how couples can easily fall into an "ugly cycle," where both partners withhold what they believe the other person needs, leading to frustration, resentment, and a breakdown in communication. Instead of giving love or respect, both individuals wait for the ot...

    Good morning ☀️ What would you say to people that are doubting about saving in their 401(k) because they think that if they don’t make it to retirement the companies will keep their money , so what’s the point of putting that money away?

    • @TheBetterEverydayPodcast
      @TheBetterEverydayPodcast 2 месяца назад

      @@yadirasolares615 All companies should have an outline of how their companies 401k program works. From our experience companies tend to have a percentage of your paycheck they are willing to match. If you stay with them for 2 years or more, all the money in the 401K is yours. If you happen to leave the company before the 2 year mark, only the money you contributed to the 401k plan will be left in your account. The company has no right to the money you have contributed. With a 401k plan, you have your own login information and the plan is managed by you. I would highly suggest going to HR and finding out the information of the company’s 401k plan to see how much they match, how long you have to work there to be entitled to the money they contributed, and if you don’t have login information to stay on top of the 401K then we suggest you look into getting that information. 401k will be taxed when you take out the money at retirement. What 401K has as a positive is that the employer matches the % of contribution. Another option is for you to open a Roth IRA where you contribute post tax income and when you pull it out in retirement, you won’t be taxed. Hopefully this helps. If you need any more information, let us know.

    Depends on the person. I've owned over 21 cars in my lifetime. The rule has always been to buy as low as possible, take care of the car and sell it to upgrade to something else and end up with equity. Example I bought a 2010 challenger rt for 28k ttl off the lot. I had a 2007 charger that I owed 8k for but they gave me 16k for it. 2 yrs later I sold the charger for 33k and purchased an Explorer for a sweet deal. I've been blessed to always make money on my purchases.

      After battling in a relationship for years, many of these manipulations rang true after saving myself from that situation. I was effectively estranged from my family and siblings and it ate at my soul. The people who would go to battle for me at the drop of a hat, I had lost for 6 years due to being naive and in love. I felt like a shell of myself in the end, I wasn't being the man I wanted to be. I left to save myself, and at the end it was the best decision for me. I wish all the best for my past partner, but I understand completely that hurt people hurt people. Those who are hurt need to do the work to heal themselves and then can realize the life they should live. David is a wonderful example of the growth a person can have. I now have the strongest relationship with my family and a relationship that is healthy because the work is being done.

    Have any of you ever felt jealous about your partner with the opposite sex friend. For example that they are too close, getting too close or finding them attractive?

    • @TheBetterEverydayPodcast
      @TheBetterEverydayPodcast 3 месяца назад

      Hey @@clau623! Thank you so much for the comment. We actually are both not jealous people and what definitely helps is that we both do our best to make each other feel secure in our relationship. From our point of view, when married, you should have friends that are friends of both of you, if it is going to be of opposite sex. We don’t see why only one of us need a friend of the opposite sex. To go a little further into this, we have to see what the purpose of a friend is. It is a person that does life with you, walks through life with you, encourages you, etc. The opposite sex goes through similar situations, but process it definitely so, it makes much more sense to have friends of the same sex going through a similar walk of life, if it is going to be a single friend. Hope that makes sense. If not let us know and we’d be glad to elaborate.

    To survive in the minority when everyone was against you, like during the 2020 pandemic, you have to be well informed and versed. Most people I knew who knew things didn’t add up wished they were wrong, but they knew the evidence said something different and could not do it. Very little made sense. The majority put us through hell. They refused to even discuss things because they were so sure they were right, because the herd was behind them. They were totally fine with forcing people who couldn’t leave their jobs or had no alternative? Only 2 people I knew who were jabbed themselves told me they didn’t agree with the mandates out of a hundred i talked to. Most were just silent. I lost my faith in good people and took a long time to get it back.
