Bayonetta is such an iconic game for being one of the first to associate the precision and intricate combos with gay/drag/vogue themes of dance performance. Probably wasn't the original intention of the devs but adding an extravagant and stylish woman (and basically a drag queen) main character to this type of game just kind of naturally lead to the development of the association
I never saw her as a drag queen, but I really like that angle. Something about good art changing with the times and whatnot
its less that bayo is a drag queen and more that she's drag queen-coded, you could say that Bayonetta is a very Slay franchise

I always liked the Bayo 2 graphics because it seems to have more depth in color compared to Bayo 3. When walking around in the different chapters you can see how close or far from Bayo objects and enemies are. In 3 I was often hitting air instead of my target since the objects and enemies blend with the environment more 😅 but maybe that’s just me lol
