I ordered the flowing hair dollar which drops October 15th thru Coin Advisor. Graded 70 with the mint directors signature[only 100 issued] price $449! The agent I deal with said if anyone get the privy version [only 17xxminted] he told me will be worth thousands!]. Low mintage coin with small population 75,000 with small # of privy will make this a modern rarity! Household order limit 1! Thanks SSS!

US Mint please, commemorative coins 1 per year made in Gold 1 and 1/10 oz, Silver 1 oz AND fractional and a circulating coin, all from West Point. Unfortunately the silver and circulating requires an act of congress….change the law! Sincerely, Past mint collector that would like to start collecting again.

Do I want one? Sure. Am I going to pay the inflated Mint price? No. Is it worth it? I don’t think so.

I ordered a 2019 and 2021 silver proof set from the Mint when they were running them a couple weeks ago for $105 apiece. Had to send the 2019 back ( and pay shipping) because the American Memorial Park quarter was very damaged. I have since heard of many people getting damaged coins from the Mint. So much for quality control! DEI is more important to them.....

The mint messed up big time by not making it a dollar coin. Who's going to pay $500 or a medal that was originally a coin?

They should have the privy mark on all the medals or none.

Crazy how expensive the ms70s are, but I feel like maybe it'll drop once it's officially released. Similar to the Liberty Britannia metal. I also like the NGC slabs and labels. I normally don't get metals but this metal hype is definitely getting me, but this is an anniversary edition of an actual coin. That makes it more interesting to me. I do wish they made it an actual coin though.

I'll probably send the medal back if it doesn't have the privy. Why? Because IMO, the privy medal is the only one that will be worth any money. I guess time will tell.

I would resell my "230" privy mark medal for $10,000 if I manage to get one from the US Mint website.

Why can't we open the box if sending to a grading agency? I'm not saying be deceitful, but it isn't hard to open a box and recognize it without it being tampered with.. Plus how can people on eBay be selling the privy mark version if they don't know if they have it yet? Yikes😂

I'm definitely buying on drop day, and I will most likely wait until after drop day to pick up a graded70. Just in case the HHOL stays at 1. Most sellers on ebay are offering a bunch of pre sales, I wonder how they will be able to buy that many if the order limit stays at 1. I see the value in those graded privys! Hey usmint how are the privy mark medals and coins to be distributed? Is it randomly or what? If it’s at random I’m not interested.The usmint will be at the Whitman Baltimore coin show when the gold coin drops.
