Should we be including the amortization and depreciation in that figure, is that not borrowing from what Stellantis will have to spend on cap ex in future?

I am not a close watcher of Tesla, but from my angle could possibly be the disconnect in pricing seems to be whether it is a car maker (commodity) or a tech company (self driving etc software)? Perhaps akin to generic mobile phones seen as a commodity versus Apple? Enjoying the resource, thanks!

This is probably 9 years to late, but looking at videos like this one I've found out that Wells Fargo who i had my mortgage through, they "wells fargo" had taken out an insurance policy for most all of their mortgages against such just a crash. As people began filing for bankruptcy wells fargo would cash in the insurance policies to recoup their losses. But if mortgages were securitized, they didn't have those mortgages on the debt side of their balance sheets. I thought i read somewhere that they got a hefty fine for this little insurance scheme.

I own BATS and IMB, I don't consider the taxes when thinking about the income statement, though I appreciate the disclosure. Generally items like duties, VAT and indirect taxes are excluded from financial statements (e.g. JD weatherspoons discloses how their business pays in non-CT tax but it's not in the income statement, Direct Line similarly doesn't show insurance premium tax in their income statement). They are a significant net positive for 2 reasons. 1. It's a significant chunk of tax revenue for all the countries concerned, making future tobacco restrictions less likely and 2. It means prices rises by the tobacco companies are even more diluted before they reach the end consumer e.g. a £10 pack of cigarettes could have £5 duty, and perhaps £1-£2 could be the retailer/distributors markup, so perhaps only £3-£4 is the revenue the tobacco manufacturer recognises. This means a 10% price rise by the manufacturer turns into only a 3-4% price rise to the end consumer, absorbing a lot of the price inflation.

thanks! I found by accident & like your format. Thus I tried to watch more videos. I find it difficult to pick Vids or rather: please tell me how. If I look on the "overview" site, the first videos I see are outdated. I've been digging a bit through "videos" & watched some. Most of the companies I don't know & I miss a sorting. E.g. amongst strategies "growth, dividend..." Or region (Us, UK, continental Europe)
