When Jeff Stein and The Who, produced "The Kids are Alright" film, they did it with the límited material they had. Now in the internet era, hundreds of new materiales are available. This "Kids are Alright" versión is a longer studio versión
The grps, who's, was so handsome's brits, residences, from middle, classes, standard, also middle classes, stsndard, upper classes, standard, blues blood or silver spoons, rich also it's helped also becuz... those instrums... then yrs, 1960s explensive but if these artisited can't afforded it's, there's org, do have's place's, do sold used instrums... and don't have's cashed-shilling term. Cashed just out of lucked,
I love this era of tge who; pictures of lily, so sad about us, this song and anyway any how anywhere… it’s raw and beautiful at the same time. Post mod/randb, pre hippie freak out. Under rated two minute wonders.
Played in a band that supported the Who twice .Keith moon borrowed our drummers set of Ludwig’s after a truck load of thei gear was stolen that day .Promised he would give it a good work out but not destroy it at the end.Our drummer had PTSD ( ha ha ) for a couple of hours after but was true to his word .Great guys .Pete destroyed a brand new Strat on same night,
So, it sounds like a recorded version or is it live? Why don’t the guitars have cords and where are the amps? But, Keith Moon does look like he is really grooving on the drums….
Reply to self - it’s lip sync to the recorded version - sounds just the same - plus I don’t see John and Pete singing on some of the harmony parts. I still don’t know how they handled Keith’s drumming - which looks authentic.
Sorry but this is what I call a huge tease. From the intro, I thought we might actually see a rare live performance of this song by the original band. Instead we have lip synching that doesn't even try to fake it by pretending Pete and John are singing background.
You would not think Daltrey had a clue about singing when he was say 23 in 1967 but he was actually brilliant. And the point is this one of their greatest tracks never really featured on any significant Who LP or compilation. The.bsnd was so disorganized that their greatest tracks say naked eye or much of Pete's best writing in 1977-1983 was either badly recorded, appeared only on Townshend Solo's or abbreviated live cuts.
There will only ever be 1 band of nutters like the WHO, this history won't repeat it's self but we will hear its Echos for ever and ever and ever...ever..
I wish people would stop squabbling over who is a better musician. What's ironic is that all these guys who you put up against one another were all pals. Bonham was powerful and timing perfect but mooney was a maverick both are f...kin brilliant. Rip the pair of em!
It's pretty obvious Daltrey recorded an in-studio vocal track for this playback. So I wonder if the whole song was done this way. It was often done like that back then. It doesn't sound like the album version.
hE
just...pure...truth
史上最強のロックバンドの、ベストソング♬
I like how Keith went from miming to actually playing.
It is September 7th 2024 46 years since Keith Moon died on my birthday in 1978. RIP “Dear Boy”. Keith John Moon August 23 RD 1946- September 7th,1978.
Pete's playing a jingly-jangly Rickenbacker! Grace notes in the style of McGuinn. Wow.
Kids
They created their real Who-style years later. This sounds like any other band from the 60s.
THe Who just the best band of all time!
Mimed
The Who performing the song the kids are alright from their debut album my generation on the ready steady go tv show 1966 🎸🇬🇧🎸
Saw them live about 67 at King mojo club Sheffield..outstanding.❤

最高やん😂‼️初期の最高傑作‼️
One of many immortal favourites. Too bad the technology of the time meant they had to mime for TV.
Alice Cooper : "Ringo is great, Charlie Watts is great BUT Keith is an octopus. He's irreplecable " 👍

lip synching to a recording - commonly done then because of very poor television broadcast sound quality
Pretty good acoustics for a Doctor Who set....

Love the energy and innocent emotion of this song,

What was the name of your band? 🎉
Yeah, I was wondering your band name too. I might have heard of you all

brilliant just brilliant even now
Brilliant! Keith Moon was to drums like Hendrix was to a guitar! Incredible!
His play on this cut is some of the most perfect I’ve heard. Beautifully power.
Moon was an animal(muppet Show) on the drums, so comparison with Hendrix is spot on.
fucking right the greatest!
Lipsyching!
He introduces the song as The Kids Is Alright.
La mejor seccion rítmica de todos los tiempos.
Very early who song and obviously influenced by the Beatles
"The kid is all white" :). RIP John...

No guitar plugged needed fpr the Who.
Roger daltrey for ever!
Today we are nowhere near this level of talent, not even close.

Dig the early Who. Their songs are pretty cool .
great
The first strum of the song is magic
Keith Moon greatest!!!!
synch
TOTALLY Amazing 😂
Cant take your eyes off Moonie!!! How many drummers can you say that about?!
Roger picks his nose at the end? Heal also does that in the My Generation video

Every time I see a Who video, I click and it's my latest favorite song! They never sing a bad song!
very, very poor filming, the camera misses most of the action : Pete Townshed playing the guitar ! was it considered too outrageous ?
Entwistle was the best rock bassist in history!
He invented the Doom Metal
