Not sure if anyone has already mentioned this but if you choose the Milder curry it actually changes the color of the curry in your bowl to an orange instead of a red. Albeit i also picked the super spicy flavor for hers lol

I had always thought Nael's identity swap was a ret-con based on translation issues with the English version of the game, and that Nael was supposed to be female... but apparently more recent statements by both the Japanese and English teams confirm that the Nael/Eula switch was intentional? This, however, doesn't square up with what we see in the Sorrows of Werlyt trial series, so I still have my doubts that the identity switch wasn't a ret-con to cover up for a mistranslated gender.

The guy with the white hair is Cecil. In FF4, before Cecil became a paladin, he was a dark knight, and used a great sword. Golbez, in FF4, always used magic, and wore the armor. In the cutscene where we see him holding the helmet, it was Golbez who died, and Cecil took up his name, in honor of his brother. As for the white hair theory, after Cecil switches classes in FF4, and becomes a paladin, we can see what he looked like, white hair. That theory can be treated either which way, since they are brothers it’d make sense for them to share traits. Another thing is when he is talking to himself, promising his dead brother that they would all know the name Golbez, the savior. From what we have seen, “Golbez” is cool, calculating, and doesn’t let anyone, or anything get in his way. It wouldn’t make sense for him to just have narcissistic traits, as it probably would’ve shown more in the fight as we got his HP lower, he would become rash, spouting nonsense about how amazing he was, and that he couldn’t lose. Also, in the cutscene(s)where we see him just talking to himself, no traits that indicate him thinking that he is godlike, or better than everyone else. idk that’s just my spiel.

WRT how Golbez's memoria will help us, I think it's probably going to be heavily influenced by how FF4 plays out in the final battle, like a lot of other stuff in this questline is. FF4 spoilers ahead: . . . . . . . In FF4, when you fight Zeromus, he's originally this weird hairy darkness creature, who trounces the party. Through the prayers of other characters (some alive/some dead) in the game, you get back on your feet, with the final one being Golbez, who tells you to pour your light into a crystal he gives you in order to reveal Zeromus's true form, which allows you to defeat it. So I assume the big shadowy form of Zeromus in FF14 we've seen is the equivalent of "hairy zeromus" from FF4, and we may get some kind of echo conversation with Golbez's memoria crystal where we end up using it to reveal "real" Zeromus, which'll be the second phase of the fight.

There is another First Person Echo scene, when Nidhana is captured by Fandaniel in the Tower of Zot, and he introduced his true identity, we experienced the echo flashback as Amon himself

so G'raha will have to come with us to fill his role as the Mysidian Elder and use the crsytal tower as our Tower of Babel when zodiark was destroyed on the source, his aether was crystalized on the first's moon which will form our Lunar Subterrane dungeon Dwarves should fight void sent with tanks Golbez will recreate the party wipe scene from 4 and rejoin with us giving us "holy might"

Currently, i have two theories on whats about to go down. 1. We use the Crystal Tower to absorb light from the 1st and store it. We manage to create a portal to the 1st from the Crystal Tower on the source (due to it being where we got sent to the 1st thus the strongest connection). We transfer the light to the sources Crystal tower and the open a voidgate from there and fire it in. 2. (More likely) We take the energy cannisters from hamm and get the light from the 1st. Bring it back, load it up into the tower of babil and blast zeromus with all the light.

My theory is that the passing joke of "We can deliver anywhere" from that Lalafell who commented on Fourchenault's emaculate backside? Well now we're pushing it and basically taking the Light Aspected Aether to a similar principle as what we did in the Isle of Haam. Another idea is that we basically return to The Burn. Ocam's razor and all that.

It felt like we are moving towards combining the 1st and the 13th...there was dialogue around why shards have always remerged with the source and not other shards...maybe?

So first and foremost, WOW! WE HAVE THE EXACT SAME TIN FOIL HAT THEORY!!!! So... really there's not much I can give. What I can add is that I believe that with Golbez's Shard during the events of 6.5 the warrior of light will absorb the 13th shard of Azem. I think this will be a key moment in our final battle as the 13th shard will make us invulnerable from being corrupted into voidsent. Before rejoining we might also get to meet the actual. Now with Y'shtola's plan, I think it will work but I think there will be an unforeseen issue. Remember how in the live letters how Yoshi P said that there will be a huge event in 6.5? Well here's where my tin foil hat is going to probably come on. Durante is going to use Zeromus to "break the wheel" and invade the source with darkness and We're going to use resplendant light from the first to counter it. Has anyone realized that if we flood the reflections energies into the source we might cause a rejoining of two shards? I mean... that's pretty big event for 6.5 and it is possible if Durante's right about Zeromus' power. However, if those two shards rejoin, I think it's going to be an imperfect rejoining bringing a whole new slew of problems that will be solved in 7.0 (we'll probably have a better idea of what's to come when we get the next expansion name reveal at FanFest. If they do things similar to SHB we'll know the name of the next expansion before 6.5). In regards to 6.5, I wonder as to how we are going to get resplendant light from the 1st? We can't get it from the moon because right now there's a portal to the thirteenth there. So will it be the Crystal Tower? Food for thought.

Though I agree that the original Golbez is sealed in the Memoria, making Durante an imposter, I do not believe that the blue color indicats a connetion to Light - simply because... well... Light is usually associated with either yellow or white... or both, as indicated in the P11 fight. As for what going to happen next... I'm not much of a speculator... also I'm not a fan of cross-rift travel being normalized. Our character is asked pocket the Light from the First to the 13th. I dont think we will be asked to absorb it like we did with the Lightwardens - simply because I think that method has proven flaved (after all, we almost broke apart). So my guess is we use some sort of divice - probably some augmented auracite, to store the Light... If it were that we would absorb the Light ourselves, a possible solution or drama could be that we become one with our soul-shard of the 13th - whether thats the original Golbez sealed in the Memoria, or Zero (unlikely, she's already too popular in the community to just merge her with the WoL, though its still a possibility: why else would Hydaelyn have saved her from the Flood of Darkness? - at least I think it was Hydaelyn... who else wouldve bothered to save her?) or another hence-to-fore unnoticed or unknown character - and therefore get the additional boost to keep our soul from breaking apart again. But all of this is pretty predictable so I dont think that'll be whats gonna happen. Would be cool if we get more screentime with Ryne, Gaia, Cylva and Unukalhai but they were optional content, so its difficult to suddenly introduce Cylva the bartender as a fallen Warrior of Light from the 13th... or Unukalhai, desciple of Elidibus and how he got from the Source to the First... or Gaia, the Orakle of Darkness and former member of the Convocation of Fourteen... Like I said, not much of a speculator so I'll just sit back, bang my head against Anabeseios savage, and wait for 6.5 :)

so just another tinfoil theory but i thought it was interesting that Zero reacted to the name Zeromus which is supposed to be the name of a hero according to golbez. I thought itd be really funny if Zeros real name was Zeromus and Yshtola just accidentally got really close when giving her a name. Tho this is not based on anything

Makes sense that we have Tomestones of Comedy right now with the Dante references. The Japanese name for them is literally Tomestones of Divine Comedy.

I hate that I'm always late to these types of videos and I'd wager someone has already said this but: I'm thinking that (to tie all of this together nicely) the previous raid series from shadowbringers as well as unukalhai's finale with the role quests from shadowbringers will need to be mandatory. I just can't see this all ending without needing those things complete and luckily the extreme trials from heavensward are solable now so there's that. For me them not combining these 2 stories, especially when both of these shards are heavy on ascian influence, would just be a total let down in my eyes but we shall see.

Real Golbez being a shard of Azem sounds possible to me, but I also think that since Zero accidentally dropped his memoria into the pit where Zeromus is, it's going to merge with Zeromus and maybe help us somehow in a way (or maybe Zeromus will do something with it idk). And i think after we defeat it, it's going to split into Azdaja and Golbez, since killing voidsent makes them basically "drop" all the others it consumed from what i understand, and Durante will have a brief touching moment being able to speak wth Golbez. At least that's what i suspect!

We'll need Graha Tia to access the crystal tower. And open a path between The First and the Source and move the massive amount of aether that is heavily light connected. WoL will be the go between the worlds. Then, once on the Source, we use the Tower to transfer all that energy over to the Tower of Babil. Then we send it straight to the moon and throw the void gate.

My theory is that Durante is a shard of Zenos'. Tall muscular blonde haired man, with a distinct raspy voice, who has a friendship with an Azem shard. I think Garleans may not exist on other shards, which is why is a Highlander instead He was brought up in the same patch even, in the context of friendship

I've been speculating that we would need to light of the first for help the 13th. I see one of two things happening. We use the light in the battle with zeromus, defeat discover some new threat we will face in 7.0. Second one is spill foil but what if they managed to trigger another rejoining but not with the source but other shards.

God I wish they'd just go ahead and make the optional raids and trials mandatory already. I know they got flak for doing it with the Crystal Tower raids but there's such a miserable disconnect caused by them. They can never interact meaningfully with the MSQ because of their optional status. Same goes for the Job/Role quests. They ought to just put a disclaimer like 'this contains content from X' and then just include it anyway. If someone doesn't want to do the optional content, too bad, they lose context.

okay so heres my theory about the resplendent light part we link up with tanner, unukalhai, ryne, and gaia, we know tanner and unukalhai have been dabbling with void portals for a while now if you did the void related quests in the first so we know they can do it, then, ryne and gaia will use eden somehow to transfer light from the 1st to the 13th

I thought it was really cool when Durante was first shown, I immediately knew before he even spoke to confirm that he has "Golbez's" voice that it was him. He looks just like The Man in Black from FFIV: After Years, which is an epilogue piece/ sequel to FFIV where Golbez is operating under that 'Man in Black' identity. A look of that type is a costume for him in Dissidia.

Isn't it more like that - blue crystals are ok, and purple are from corrupted ones (as purple is color of corruption from XIII, World of Darkness) and blue in general are.... normal?
