To be honest I think for first class travel it’s pretty average, compared to ferry travel up until say 20 years ago things have improved greatly when we were treated pretty much like cattle just squeeze as many in as possible a lot more civilised now, I’ve used ferry travel mainly between Ireland and Britain but I’ve used the harwich,Dover and Folkestone route many times but crossing the Irish Sea is for some reason considerably more expensive than crossing the English Channel, nice to see this crossing though, good post

Most Expensive Cabin on Overnight Cruise Ferry - Ireland well then do not travel on the ferry you won't have to pay. That problem was fixed.

Very nice vlog, good to watch and I found it very relaxing. Sorry, but my only bit of criticism here is why the obsession with everything has to be new, new, new and anything that you consider is outdated has to be pointed out to the viewer. Let us decide for ourselves what is new and old.

Think you need to research the worlds largest natural ports. As far as Im aware I think Poole is second to Sydney, not Cork, and apparently, Cork does not even take 3rd. Maybe im wrong. Enjoyed the vid tho.. Cheers

Excellent review best Ive ever seen of a ferry crossing. We travel on the Rosslare Bilbao route and in the Commodore Lounge there is food and drink available all day 7am to 11pm. Great review thanks

Yes i traveled by Train from Dundalk to Dublin every day in 1970 and it took an hour each way and it still takes a hour in 2024 so that's progress

Premier League standard stadium in a part of London that has no team in the PL. Be great to see them rise again but had a terrible few years with a succession of bad owners. Lived in the area for 20 years not too far from where your lodgings were

It’s expensive because it’s Vegas. All of the big market tourist areas are more expensive because the entertainment. Montreal and Toronto are twice as expensive to see a game. I’m in Tampa I can usually see games for half that.

My visits and stays in the USA have been really tame in comparison. Right now we are totally engrossed in the Euros and tonight we saw the Portugal vs Georgia game. I became a traitor and supported Georgia because many years ago I stayed 10 weeks in Tbilisi and loved the place to bits. I am looking forward to your next USA vlog now, Paul. All the best from Dai

MLS does have away section for fans but it is for reconzied supporter groups. If you are just a "normal fan" you can buy tickets anywhere. Atlanta United gives free tickets to fans for away matches and if you say you are in a supporter group they put you in that section. If not you might end up anywhere depending on tickets.

The Angerstein hotel is run by Millwall fans, hence it's the away pub. Hotel rooms looked good actually. Rose of Denmark is one of three 'home pubs' in Charlton, others being the Horn and Bugle up in Charlton village and The Royal Oak, just round the corner from the stadium and most noted for football crowd. There's also the oldest pub in the area, The Anchor & Hope (short walk takes you to the Thames Barrier). Attracts both home and away fans. Beautiful pub by the river, about 10-15 walk from the station. Well worth going into when back in the area. If you return, there are a few sights worth checking out in Charlton. If you climb the hill to Charlton village, on the left hand side of the road you'll see a blue plaque for the old house of Italo Svevo, the fin de ciecle Italian writer, good friend of James Joyce (from his time in Trieste which was Svevo's hometown - Joyce actually encouraged Svevo to become a writer, which made him leave his in-laws business that had made him move to Charlton) and said to be his inspiration for the Leopold Bloom character in Ulysses. Svevo was a Charton Athletic fan from the club's very earliest days when they weren't even playing at The Valley in the 1910s. He didn't enjoy living in Charlton but loved going to the games. At the top of the hill you can find, Charlton House, the best Jacobean mansion in London. As you enter the grounds you'll pass the oldest Mulberry Tree in the country which has a storied history described on a plaque. The church in the village is the burial place of Spencer Purceval, the (otherwise sadly forgotten) only UK prime minister assassinated whilst in office. A plaque commemorating him is in the church but unfortunately the church is rarely open). Also worth going to Maryon Park which has an animal farm and was the main location of Michael Antonioni's classic film Blowup. Best food in the area is the Filipino restaurant in the village called Inihaw. If you fancy a curry, the New Viceroy is also very decent. Hell, if you're in the area again, drop me a note and I'll show you around before the game. I love living here. Great community, many familiar faces you caught in your video, by the Valley cafe. For London the area has a real community feel because it tends to have kept its local residents. Most parts of London are quite transient but in Charlton many seem to have lived in the area for years so you build a community spirit. It hasn't been gentrified, isn't flash at all but it has a good homely feel to it. Great club to support as well, if you're able to handle a lifetime of disappointment sprinkled with a few highs.

LA is an amazing city with lots to do. lafc games, laker games, dodger games, rams/charger games. The beach.
