Overall aim and objective of this channel is to prepare business students with an important skillset of Digital Business, which is Business Analytic. Hi, can nominal values which have been dummy coded be used as IV and moderator?
dummy coded usually have 0 and 1 values so better to avoid them.. However, there are some techniques which you can use discussed here : web.pdx.edu/~newsomj/semclass/ho_categorical.pdf
Can we conduct the same process if the moderating variable question is in categorical form?
yes it can but the values must be matching to the likert scale used ... otherwise the results may be different from expected

Thank You for the comment... In SPSS, process macro will be used for moderation... however, in multiple regression, same approach will be used for testing moderation

You have to calculate separate interaction terms for each moderating variable...However, you can run the Multiple linear regression with all the independent variables and interaction terms..

Regression results depict your findings. If you have completed the pre-requisite steps required for regression, such as reliability and validity analysis, the regression results will be reported as it is...Whether your hypothesis is rejected or failed to reject, you have to report them as it is considering it your finding. Acceptance of report is never based on the acceptance/rejection of hypotheses.

I assume that you are saying the correlation coefficient shows negative value but actually there is a positive correlation between variables.. In that case you must check if you have used reverse coded items.. or the options of Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree are mistakenly entered reversed. E.g. If X has strongly Agree=1, Y should also have Strongly Agree=1. Check your data coding.
How will be a moderated regression analysis with 4 independent variables moderated by one moderator variable to predict a single dependent variable?
Hi @Kaspar. For that, you would be required to create an interaction term for each variable i.e. IV#1 * Moderator = Interaction Term #1 ; IV#2*Moderator=Interaction Term #2....... Hope it helps!
