Wolverine has ALWAYS been one of my favorite superheroes ever created. Hes always been top 3 for me in the Marvel Multiverse along Spider-Man and The Hulk. One thing I never knew about him was that orginally they tried to make his claws apart of his cloves. I thought they were always apart of his bone structure regardless of pure bone or adamantium. Im so glad they changed the narrative from the glove-claw thing. That would have made him suck smh.

I get that his bones are coated in adamantium but the claws are attached to his muscle tissue, so shouldn’t his arms rip off whenever he uses his claws to slide down a wall or lift something extremely heavy with them?

Also when Magneto tried to kill wolverine by Ripping all the adamantium from his body. However when it didn't kill him it made his Bones as Strong as Adamantium because it changed the molecular build of his bone. Magneto made Logan stronger in all ways. And removed only thing Magneto could exploit. 😂

Wish they could have coated just the claws

Not true - he never had bone claws, that was for the movie people to have an idea of what he was. They killed and re-killed Logan during the adimantium fusion process of his bones.The claws were added at this medical procedure. The movies are wrong

I remember reading that before the official retcon that he always had bone claws, some fans speculated that the reason he had bone claws despite Magneto ripping off the metal off his body was Logan's body was so accustomed to them, plus the physical and mental trauma that he went through that time, made his body innately/subconciously "over-regenerate" his damaged bones to replicate the claws, almost like a tumor or excrescence

And the retcon that with all the memory erasing and brainwashing he suffered from the 30's to the 70's he completely frogot he had them in the first place probably because he didn't use them much during the time and the people doing the brainwashing never saw them or even know he had them in the first place so makes sense why he thinks weapon X gave them to him

Have we reached this point already where it has to be re-explained after countless Wolverine movies?? Or are you people just running out of ideas for content?

The making them bone and always apart of him thing is what doesn't make sense to me. He is a mutant, with a good healing factor, and bone claws? What? It makes more sense to say they were added by the ppl who gave him the metal skeleton, but whatever...

That and Spider-man in comics Didn’t have Web shooting from his genetically modified body but had A Fking Tool or Device !? Originals are wild 🗿

One thing that doesn't really make sense (to me at least) is if the claws are a normal part of his body, then why do they have to tear his hands open when they extend? Shouldn't there be gaps in his knuckles naturally where the claws go? I mean, Banshee doesn't have to break his jaw to use his screaming power, and Mystique doesn't have to, like, peel parts of her skin off or something to physically change into a different person, so why does Wolverine have to injure his hands every time he uses one of his powers?

The first retcon about his Claws was that his claws were a side effect of the adimantium going inside him from the weapon X experiment and so he didn't have them then after the experiment he then had them. Which is why whenever he let's them out it hurts him alot

This the first im hearing this way. Ive always grown up with him having bone claws as a kid, and the metal covered all bones. Stryker wanted to make him a weapon so he made his claws more dangerous. If anyone has any other ways, I would like to know. Ive not read most of his comics, so I wouldnt know much

I don't like the bone claws idea. I like the idea that they are blades installed during the Weapon X program .

I've always found the bone claws a stupid idea. For me Wolverine's power was regenaration, that's it, and the military took advantage of his power and gave him a metallic skelleton and claws. It's more dramatic and interesting to think that the claws are artificial, property of the military, as a permanent reminder of his trauma, that he now has to carry everywhere with him. It is less literal and more poetic that way.

I never liked the fact of how the muscles are attached to the claws: it suggests that the muscles are in fact contracted all the time the claws are inside the forearm, which means that Logan would have to relax those msuscles in order to extend the claws. Idk, it seems antinatural to me. How does he even sleep with his claws retracted?

Do people believe this he has bone claws and was captured by foundation X or whatever and all his bones were lined with andimatiam

So even after the adamantium claws are cut off, they will grow back?
