Interesting point that these women are often controlled. Time i guess is the only way to determine if somebody has bad intentions as i guess there is only so long somebody can invest in you before revealing the scam although if contact is minimal and mostly online then i guess with automated and scheduled messages it can go on longer but not in person.

Skin colour is bigger than i appreciated before meeting my gf. She spends her whole time covering up to the point it affects what she can do like swimming always wearing hats. She was told by thai husband that her colour was unattractive but is stunning looking so he tolerated her skin then left her anyway. But any attractive girl in Thailand whatever age may have sponsors so tread carefully and let them show you how available they are for you.

You use the term ‘tawdry’ twice in this blog, once about potential interest from women in your vlogs and later about yourself… that caught my attention. It’s a term that aligns with ‘fake’ the subject of your commentary. In this day and age everyone is struggling with the fake/real question in some way. So this leads me to consider why ANY women myself included might follow your vlogs? Here’s my reasons 1. You shine a spotlight on daily relationships and living in the Isan region. 2. I’m always interested to try and understand how men think about women and how different this is to how women think about men, so an anthropological study if you will. 3. Rob you are an appealing character, like a beaten hero in a drama series I hope you’ll do well in the end.

I had cervical spine surgeries about 16 years ago, and it was a great decision. A year ago I had my wrist fused in Bangkok, and that has also worked out wonderfully.

Good luck on your procedure. I am getting by on spinal nerve blocks for now. You sharing your struggles and triumphs, is helpful and appreciated.

OMG! thanks for sharing this. Really, I would be the opposite of flattered. (I wonder if I'm broken by divorce?) I just can't imagine these actions of affection as anything but a scam or, at best, a short term female thing. Assuming surgery goes well, I'll just share this gem. Coach says that the data and experience shows magic for humans that put in 300 minutes of cardio weekly. I do it on the indoor bike so I can get a lot of slow steady (HR ~120) spin time. It will change your metabolism unlike anything weights can do (which I love, also, just saying)
