Learn how to carve a Frick's Whole Bone-in Ham store.frickmeats.com/
Hy-Vee dropped Frick's turkey drumsticks! That was my primary reason for shopping at Hy-Vee! I'm switching to any grocery store that is staying with Frick's! Tell them to raise prices if necessary but don't quit making the good stuff!
Can’t you just come over and show me …. on my delicious Fricks ham?
Awesome
Thank you for the video! I've got a 21-pound beast of a ham in the oven right now for Christmas Eve dinner, so came here for a refresher before I've got to carve it about 2 hours from now
Did you bake yours for 4 hours? That's about how long I cooked mine.
What I serve every Christmas...
Thanks mate, glad I found this Super easy to follow instructions And made me look like a pro Wifey was happy 😂
Wow that just made my day so much easier! So simply demonstrated for anyone to follow! Thank you for sharing! We have cold ham at Xmas as we're here Western Australia where it's quite warm.
How long is the blade on that carving knife?
Mine turns out dry
Liverwurst best ever.
Who owns the company
I'll have some of dat lean
great video
I would add another glaze of honey and fresh herbs and garnish the ham when you put it back to warm.
Thank You.
thank you so very much
Very professional, keep it up💪💯
We do freeze vacuum sealed a wee bit of butter. To reheat, we place the frozen bag in a pot of water 145° to 155° f water for about an hour. I take it to 155, then let it cool to 145 reheat and repeat for one hour. Stays moist and delicious. Caution do not leave temp. hovering around around 138 F for any length of time.
Wow I can really smell it!!! I have one in the oven.
Thank You~. I had always made it so much harder. Less presentable.
How long will it keep in the refrigerator? After cutting or cutting only as needed; which is best?
Once the package is opened, we recommend consuming within 5 days whether it is cut or not.
@@elloryfrick thank you. Much appreciate the response. Cut the ham this weekend. It’s absolutely delicious. I have never been a fan but certainly changed my opinion after getting a Frick ham. It was wonderful!
Come by in about an hour. I have some nice potatoes and an acorn squash. The ham is almost warmed. Please bring your knife!!
It was pretty freaking good
We always have this cut for Christmas and Easter carved the same way. We make a stock from the bone for soups and stews then pick and grind the meat with baloney. Add dill relish and mayo for old school ham salad.
Good presentation for me, thank you😊
I bought a Frick's shank ham the other night. It was the only one I could find that had no water added and not spiral cut. I watched this video and was able to carve it up perfectly. It was, by far, the BEST ham I have ever made! It had so much flavor and was not dried out at all. The sandwiches yesterday were amazing and I'm making bean soup tomorrow. If you happen to find a Frick's ham at your local grocery store, pick one up.
Is the Frick brand specific to a region or a national brand?
Thank you for the video. This saved me a lot of time and trouble compared to the way I used to hack at our xmas ham! And, the presentation looked much nicer this time thanks to you.
He said don't overcook and then said 130 or so is good. What does that mean?
Internal temperature of 130 degress using a meat thermometer. The Ham is fully cooked, so the goal of the cooking process at home is to reheat it. There is no food safety risk so you just want to wam it until its heated through.
Best video on the topic I have seen. Uses a sharp knife and removes the meat from the bone before slicing. This is the way.
Did anyone else think this guy has an uncanny likeness to Commander Riker? Lol
I'm a lover of the butt portion. I was curious as to where the "carver ham" came from. Thanks.
Now i know. Thank you for sharing 👌☕👍🇺🇸
I like to take pictures lol.
Great job
5 Years Later And It's STILL Helpful Information Thank You And Happy Thanksgiving 😊
What happened to all that meat?
very nice. thank you!
Not about carving. All about slicing. Bummer.
Which ham is boneless , butt or shank ?
You have bones in your butt?
You wanna know the best way to carve a Ham.?...... With a knife 🔪🤣
Thank you so much for making a video for people that don't believe in being wasteful. I was appalled how in all other ham carving videos the demonstrator just cuts a couple pieces from the ham then tosses out a lb of meat still on the bone for no good reason.
Thanks I like the way you carve that up I can do that and freeze them and always have sandwich meat or for breakfast for so many things thank you so much I love the way you carved gotta try that😁💕👍
This is easily the best video I found about how to carve a bone-in ham. The clear explanation made it all seem so much less intimidating. Thank Frick! Bonus points for the presentation tip too :)
Grocery order for ham arrived with a shank portion ham which I haven't had to carve before. Your video was so helpful, thank you! The bone portion being so large & meaty was a happy surprise because I enjoy making soup or New England boiled dinner with it.
Helped me immensely as I had no clue where the bone was. Sharpened my knife first. I kept remembering go down to the table and it was relatively easy when you know how to find the bone. Thanks for making this.
Thank you!!
Yum! Beautiful ham!
THANK YOU, for saying "cross grain" instead of the very common and incorrect "against the grain" which exactly the same as "with" the grain effectively, but the other direction. GREAT JOB!
How do you slice a whole ham and not take a few bites. LOL
These are great hams at reasonable prices. The only ham I buy.
