For anything other than driver, no. Driver we are trying to hit a bit upward on angle of attack which is why this tip generally works. Everything else we are looking for a downward angle of attack and actually handle pulling aids this with pretty much everything else. If we used this tip with irons and hybrids we’d almost definitely get a massive top or thin. That’s exactly why this works for me as I have done so much work on iron striking this year. Yep there are a lot of coaches and players using this or a variation of it. Personally I like three inches back and out the toe. 12 and 3 is a bit too extreme. Will be doing a longer full length video in the future. Cheers.

Driver is without a doubt the hardest thing to hit! I hope the tip helps, also check out my previous video on the “driver flop” as I call it and try as well. I found it works very well! Lastly you could always try a slightly shorter shaft in your driver, or a mini driver? I have had some really good success with the Taylormade mini brnr this season. The one thing about the callaway paradym is that it lacks much in the way of visual alignment so it’s difficult to see if you are aligned centrally. You get the idea though hopefully?

Hi there! So this video is the start - the gain you can make straight away, and I really did gain after the first week. It’s a bit like when you first lift a weight in the gym for the first time. Because someone has never lifted it mostly the thing stopping you is your brain. When you’ve done it once your brain changes your neurological perception of what you can do. Same with swing speed. When you take off the brakes and stopping thinking about strike, stop thinking that I need to be controlled to hit out of the middle, when you start trying to swing faster, then you do. AND once you’ve done it once it’s like braking through a glass ceiling. That is the hard part. And what it means is if you swing at 120 mph then when you get to the course you might dip down to 110- 115, but that’s still going to be faster than the old baseline. Then it’s just a question of doing it for 5 minutes every week for a couple and you will start retaining the speed and gaining more and more. I will be doing a follow up soonish, as I personally use the superspeed golf system to retain and build speed. This one was just about highlighting the difference trying to swing out your boots can make in 5 minutes. Hope that all makes sense 😀

@@DK_Golfer Thanks! One follow-up. Do you feel your entire body is loose and you are just using your entire body? Or is it body then tack on wrist/hand speed?

@@starks1974 yeah definitely loose, and really try to feel like your WHOLE body is going for it. Fast backswing, then start with legs firing, hips turning and pulling your arms and hands through as fast as you can. What I’ve found from doing this for a few years is that I have to be careful that my upper body doesn’t take over too much. It’s affected my hip turn and led to early extension, so there is an element of awareness with speed training that if you don’t do in tandem with lessons, you can at times create other issues. Ahhh cheers dude! I just document what I’m working on and try and pass on some helpful tips… I’m learning as I go. Watch time seems to be the trickiest part so that’s what I’m trying to improve on at moment. It’s all good fun and occasionally I get a video that gets some views! Sharing games I love and diffuse the knowledge about virtual reality 😊 for watching time there are some useful tutorials here on YT. It boils down to direct the viewer’s attention where you want using some editing tips and tricks. I am still learning myself…so I can’t really provide any helpful advice atm…but I’ll get there :)

I generally only use them if I find them / if they are given to me…. I’m on a mission to find something as good in terms of spin, distance and durability… new TP5x is a contender, but only marginally cheaper… feel that there must be something else out there other than Vice.

I generally do too, like you say it helps launch higher and means you have to hit up on it too. But I was surprised that taking a bit of height off actually gave me a better strike and a bit more distance. Have you tried different tee heights?

There is a lot of dead time and practice swings you are not seeing, so do you have a specific example or timestamp?
