John Rudy Alcala, b.August 21, 1967. Sun Valley, California USA.. Raised in Pacoima, CA until movin to Rio Rancho,, New Mexico USA 30+ years ago.
Drummer/Songwriter/Photographer/Activist and Passionate music lover.
Have been a drummer and musician for over 35 years. Have played live from the late 80's in Hollywood, CA but mostly in New Mexico. Have been in many bands over the years and also a studio or hired live drummer.
Currently working on reuniting with one of my previous and most successful bands "Ishen Tree".
Musical tastes are varied, grew up listening to Spanish Mexican music, then 60'-70's Soul and R&B.
Then in the mid 70's turned to my true live of rock music. But it was in the 80's that formed my musical tastes. Listening to arena rock bands like Journey, Police, Night Ranger, Billy Squier, Pat Benetar, Loverboy but also Jazz, Classical & Theater.
