Nice video, I like seeing old equipment still being used. I I’m using a 1965 Koehring 405 dragline. It has manual clutches. Those northwest machines seem like they are good machines.

Yep , oilfield, transmission set-up for high speed winch. Didn't need a big dozer for earth pits . And 2 fives tied off to your gin trucks you could field skid a single sub rig pretty easy.

Great video showing a good little dozer that still wants to work. From listening to the engine. To me, my personal opinion. Someone has set the governor rpm up on the engine. That would explain why the gears seem to high for the unit. I'd check that before something comes apart. I personally have changed out truck engines into excavators myself. You either switch out the pump, or adjust the throttle linkage to keep the engine rpm in check. Fun video though.

I am a retired crane operator. I ran a 597 plus other small draglines for 38 years. I also did a lot of hook work in various machines. I started learning friction machines, then when the juice squeezers came into play it took all the fun out of it for me. To operate a friction machine takes lot of skill and tallent. You have good skills my friend. Hearing that slobering 4-71 fire up is a very familiar sound to me. If you are not using ear protection I suggest you do. I ran many machines with a Detroit in them. my ears have been ringing for decades.

I just found your Square body truck show video and been watching through your older vids. RUclips only pushes big channels so I was surprised when they actually suggested a really good channel like your that has a small following. I like everything, square race trucks, Ford dent, bump and OBS, screaming small blocks and lil pups!

I've never had this issue grew up driving old ass tractors the new stuff is nice but something about old iron just makes me happy
