If they are plants with a high light demand, you should probably choose more specific lights for that type of plant. If it's just for low-demand plants, two of these lights should be fine. 🤜🏻🤛🏻

While F1 Altums are more adaptable than their wild counterparts, it’s important to remember that they still retain many of their ancestors’ requirements. Even though they tolerate a wider range of water parameters, the ideal setup should mimic their natural habitat: soft, slightly acidic water (pH between 5.5 and 6.5) and temperatures between 27-30 °C. This helps keep the fish healthy and allows them to display their natural behaviors. Adaptability shouldn’t be mistaken for optimal conditions!

@PSKaqua In that case the F1'S cannot be kept in a planted tank bcz of it's requirement of high temperatures ( 27 C - 30 C ) which is not favourable for a planted tank?.

Yes, that's right, but it depends on what kind of planted aquarium you're talking about. If we want to bring our aquarium layout closer to its habitat, where the water is dark and light has difficulty penetrating, we have low-demand plants such as anubias, echinodorus and valisnerias that do well in aquariums at 27ºC.

That said, the effectiveness in water depends on factors like concentration, water parameters, and the type of infection being treated. While metronidazole in oxygenated water might not be the most efficient method, many aquarists and studies suggest it can still be absorbed through the fish’s gills and skin to some degree. For severe cases or systemic infections, combining medicated food with a bath treatment can improve results.

If you have the Wi-Fi remote control in the app, you can set it for every day (I'll give you an example of how I have mine): - at 14:30 - 10% - warm white (always set warm white in all phases) - at 15:30 - 25% - at 16:30 - 35% - at 20:00 - 25% - at 21:30 - 10% - at 22:00 - turn off the light. @@PSKaqua sure water changes will automated for 3 times a week 20-30%. I was more concerned about the swim space and them not growing to their potential. Do not want to stunt their growth because of a small tank. The tank won’t be small right? Cause they are expensive and i need advice from an expert like you.

Having only 36 inches doesn't do much for these fish, because they can't swim freely, even though they aren't fish that require a lot of length to swim, like African cichlids for example, they need more space to swim. But if we look at the volume of water (57 gallons), you can have up to 6 Altum's with some care such as more regular water changes and good filtration. Try not to add too much decoration, as it will take up more swimming space.

Is that a good medication for a hole in the head, but we have Esha HEXAMITA, which we can get straight away. This is widely available in the UK at any pet store. Is Esha HEXAMITA good is well for hole in the head. Please can you tell me which is better. Thank you so much.

This is why the ‘cycling’ process is so important-it allows the bacteria time to multiply and establish a stable colony. You can also speed up the process by adding bottled bacteria products designed to seed your tank with the right species!
