Adding a weight to these cars helps them drift with more pendulum effect too. Tape a weight to the inside middle, near the back if you can. :) Great little cars tho.

The suspension has to cushion the total weight of the car, in this case it only cushions the upper casing.

I just got my micro b yesterday and also had to recenter the servo horn, mine was turning more left than right, seems like they aren't double checked when manufacturing

That's pretty cool. I saw in your other videos you have those rubber road barriers, the red and white ones. You should lay those down on this track where the red and white is. Then you could set your phone up in a tripod like a starting gate and use one of those lap timer apps. Of course, if you don't think you have the skills, I understand.

After getting one for $141, knowing what I know now it's worth $275 ....... as far as parts go, they even give dimensions, for example, for drive shafts !!!!! Parts are not a problem. Great video !!!!! Thank you !!!!! 🙂

Thank you so much for this video!!! The AUSTAR is my favorite of the 1/18 scale trucks. I have several of them with various gear ratios and various 2S and 3S battery versions. Red back-up lights are most annoying! Much more annoying than turn signals! No real car in the world has red back-up lights (not even in China). Why do Chinese manufacturers insist upon giving us red back-up lights? Particularly when the electronics are there to give us red running lights? I was looking for an elegantly simple solution. But all I could come up with was ripping the lights out of half my trucks and putting in simple white and red ones on one plug. Of course, that way you lose the ability to turn them off and on and you lose turn signals. For the other half of my trucks, I used a second light controller, canabalized from the first half, in each truck and plugged the existing plugs into only the center two ports of each controller. Full function but more wasteful and not nearly as neat and elegantly simple as your solution! Thanks again! (I had previously found that by moving only one pin you could change red back-up lights into red running lights and red brake lights for the FCX18... But I just assumed that pins 5 and 6 were dead in the AUSTAR. Bad assumption on my part!)
