okay BILL IS NOT WRONG - everything Bill says, YOU DO! I had to laugh at some of these videos because I felt like he was looking into the camera calling me out! I had just set up up work and IMMEDIATELY deleted it haha. THE PRICING is what held me back from ever launching my business then Bill comes along and blew my mind. TRUE VALUE pricing! I got his book - PHENOMENAL - even IF you didn't do bookkeeping it tackles everything! I talk to everyone about the book - even when they dont ask hahah When you see other successful business owners having the same thoughts as you but now you hear it and get even more validation! WOW

Thank you for your videos! My husband kept telling me our past neighbor is starting a bookkeeping business on the side. He does it for the city. It's like he was hypnotizing me and so I found your video. I used to do bookkeeping as a Marketing Coordinator and Publicist for a record company where I wore several hats, who also did commercial real estate. It was part of my duties. I had no idea! This sounds really viable and the fact that you can build a business and sell it also makes a a great vehicle to set yourself free and/or retire. Excellent! Thank you for bringing idea out and about and providing all the information necessary.

Do we need to learn any accounting?

Should we also take a course on bookkeeping? Is the QuickBooks pro advisor enough to become a bookkeeper?

Another question for you Bill - what close rate do you consider good for someone just starting out? I’m talking about a company that agrees to a consultation and that is qualified.

Have you ever had a biz owner not buy into pain points and want to jump right to your fees? I know after a bookkeeping business has been established that you can be selective as far as who you work with, and I assume that if you’re established enough, you would just opt out of working with a client that’s priced and not value focused..is that a fair read on how some consults might play out?

Thank you for this video. This is one of the most detailed video I’ve seen. I have been working as a business affairs manager who started as a bookkeeper almost 50 years ago. I recently retired and I have benefits for the rest of my life but I want to start my own bookkeeper business. I have used quickbooks on the desktop at my old job but not the online version. I recently started to help a friend with her books which made me realize that I can do this. I’ll need to get certified in QB Pro Advisor and then I’ll need to find clients. I would love to have more conversations with you to start this and get your opinions. Thank you again. .

I'm wondering if QuickBooks has changed their website. I've spent hours trying to sign up with out a business to get certified. I can't find it anywhere. I've called them 3 times. No one, and I mean no one, from QuickBooks knows anything about how to navigate all their different websites or how to sign up for certification. Please help. Or please do a new video showing how to find it online.
