The Xbox version has most of the same levels and models, but the controls were much more fluent. It's as if the PlayStation version was ported from the Xbox with little fine tuning. Either that or it was improved on Xbox. (Dunno the release timing) The only things I really hated about the game were the driving stages, and the design of the void stages that made you feel like you're about to vomit.

So, I’m really glad I got this on the PS2, since apparently several versions were significantly worse.

To answer the question regarding using a recording of Plankton's VA: Basically recycling material is fought against by the union so that people who do a good job at voice acting don't work themselves out of a job. So if any new dialogue gets recorded for the game, it's all gotta be fresh.

This is Probably the Most "Original" Game

I had all of those! The creature from the krusty krab one was too weird for me as a kid. My cousins and I loved lights camera pants. The movie game was pretty good. And battle for bikini bottom. I preferred the original over the remake.

The ending of this game made me cry when I finally reached it as a kid

Had the gameboy advanced one when i was younger, in fact i probably still have it. I dont think i ever finished it cause it was difficult for a child to do but i remember the racing game part the most cause i just replayed that every time. I remember when i used to go to my mom's work there was a guy next to her cubical that would play it with me when we were at lunch and we only ever got to the second level so even for an adult in their mid 20's to early 30's it was hard.

Well, almost all the mechanics of the movie game comes straight from battle of bikini bottom. So I had an easier time because BOBB taught me all the mechanics used in this game. Maybe this game expected you to have played that game first

Fun fact: in the PC game in Patrick's first level, as a kid I'd consistently somehow go past the fence and go out of bounds to a black void, and if the level is still on screen you can go back and finish the level, but of it's completely off screen then you're forever lost to the void

Dude, Creature from the Krusty Krab DEFINED me & my brother's childhood. It was one of the many first few games we played when we got our PS2.

actually due to the fact this game was rushed before the movie was released within a year, some things in the game werent the final version, like the goofy goober section was supposed to be in the movie as a dream section but was cut, David Hasselhoff didnt join the movie til the last moment either, also the cutscenes go from actual still frams from the final movie, to storyboard drawings, to ms paint

I adored this game as a very young kid, I replayed it about a year ago and honestly? still fine. not terribly long or difficult but it's pretty much exactly how I remembered it

Never remembered how difficult this game was. Kinda stokes the ego a bit but I did spend like a thousand hours playing it as a kid so I had to get good at it eventually.
