We camp, we hike, we kayak, sometimes funny things just seem to happen to us, and we have two adorable Irish Doodles Telli and Tuck that come along for the ride! Hiking at Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest
We'd always wanted to go see the trees at Joyce Kilmer in WNC. And this day we finally got to go when our friends Jess Stanley and Krystal came up to visit us at Smoky Mountain Meadows. Come along as we go see the biggest trees in the southeast found in the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest outside Robbinsville, NC.

During WOR (Week of Rivers) we took an off day and hung under the bridge at Troll Hole on the Upper Nantahala. We got quite the show. There was some sick lines and a little carnage. Come along as we cheer on those accepting the challenge of passage of Troll Hole.

It was the day of the Guest Appreciation Festival put on by the NOC which means for us paddlers it is Upper Nantahala release day! That extra water makes the lower run about 300 CFS bigger. When my Dad called and said I wanna do what you've been doing I knew we had to make it happen. He came to join us late August to get a taste of whitewater. The first day we went to the Tuckasegee Gorge aka The Tuck and put in below Dillsboro Drop. It was a low water release roughly around 550-650 CFS however we managed to make it down!
