Mechanics work with Gold watches. Technicians don't! We don't wear anything that will possible touch and scratch the car or cause us to possible get caught in a tight spot. When I trained Lexus Technicians this was 1st thing on the list. No belt buckles.

That didn't work for me. I made a jumper and attached it to the number 87 pin in the starter relay Pluged it back in and jumped it to the battery and my vehicle started. I am thinking now that it is maybe a wire problem. Fill free to add the info to your forum.

Here's one for you to test your imagination and knowledge. 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. 1. Driving along and everything inside the car goes dead but the Tahoe keeps driving. 2. I make a hard left turn, and everything comes back on but then dies out again. 3. One day the starter would turn over but wouldn't start. Everything inside was still dead. 4. Remembering the left turn deal, I put the key in the on position, everything still dead, I opened the door, grabbed the edge of the roof and started rocking the truck. The interior lit right up, and the radio came on and I was able to start it. 5. The problem of a dead interior would resurface. Sometimes the starter would turn over but not start or it would be dead. A. Tried new starter switch with no change. B. Installed new battery when the original one was run down to 11.4 in the middle of this problem. Not the cause of it. It wouldn't even allow for a jump start. Started right up with the new battery but the interior remained dead until I made a left turn. C. Alternator is pumping out plenty of power. D. There might be a parasitic drain on the battery. Found the new one at 11.7 one morning but the truck started strong. Do you think it could be a motion detector that is acting up? I have a blank key that will start the truck. Did the previous owner bypass the passkey system and cause a random short to occur?

I tried leaving to key on for 10 minutes 3 times to reset the security system but all that did was kill the battery 🤨

What a cranky service failure . for 2006 uplander 3.5 moter..LS ...2front wheel is that a sensor or a key problem...

Links to a couple of other possible fixes for this problem below. I haven’t tried the removal of the battery terminal method. The plastic tooth pick/piece of cable tie method: did this on my ‘99 Silverado a couple weeks ago. did this on a 2000 sierra and alarm STILL. went off! i open drivers door and then hit unlock for passenger door and when it opened then alarm went off so pulled key out alarm still on started engine alarm still on turn engine off and exit alarm still on. so disconnected negative side battery alarm off !' so next to try is take out the gotham alarm module. heard dat works .will see ! 😣

Start the car truck 98-2000 Chevy as it's running only when it's running unplug that little black box the security system itself unplug it as it's running after you unplug it take the key out turn it off take the key out put key back in start it up and it bypasses the whole system true story
