Finally some drone footage
We finally got our first flights over the water. Of course we had to get some footage of one of the Port Mansfield piers. Didn't get any footage fishing but here's what we did get. Maybe next time will be a different pier in Port Mansfield.

I made a huge mistake that could have cost me. A quick call to a Gamewarden cleared up the situation and I learned something the hard way. Explanation at the end of the video hope you guys enjoy!

Unfortunately the newly built pier has been messed with already. The lights have been off for over a week now and I fear they will not be returning anytime soon. leave a like or comment about what you think about the lights going out.

Where is the best spot at the end of the dock??
Honestly before the fork on the pier is where they've been pulling out alot of fish. But I've hooked up to bigger fish at the ends on the pier doesn't matter where you cast.

@@noswa3055 there's 3 different shops there. I'd recommend harbor bait and tackle they seem to be the friendliest of the bunch.

Be careful with redfish and they have to be 17” too 27” to keep nothing pass 27”
Texas regulations are 20-28 with the tag to keep one over sized. And being able to buy a second tag for the year for another oversized.

where is that spot that you were throwing the cast net?
It's right before entering Port Mansfield. It has a little bridge above it there's parking space to the right hand side of the road.

I went on the 13th of August, caught a 30in black drum in the corner you are at. There was alot of dolphins patrolling as well that night.

You broke the number one rule about fishing at Dixieland… NO castanets… lol not unless you’re trying to get rid of it. I was fishing that lake when the mall was not even built yet, and US Homes was barely built. The Taco Bell now sits where the old movie projection building used to sit. Valle Vista mall was nothing but grass and mesquite trees. Hooters sits where Anglo Iron Recycling center used to be. And cars were allowed to drive almost all the way around the lake.

Sorry y’all letting you know right now that .. that was my net and crazy story (I bought it at academy first day 85$ net and first day I go try it at the Dixie land and I lost it to those rocks 😂😂😂) And yes!! I tried 3 hours in the rain to get it out that day I’m very sorry !
It's not the first or last net to get stuck there. When they drained out some of the water I got out about 6 of them. Not a good place to throw them.
