The Comedians 20th Anniversary Reunion
Просмотров 1,5 млн3 года назад
Bernard Manning, Stan Boardman, Roy Walker, Charlie Williams, George Roper, Mick Miller, Dugie Brown, Ivog Davies and Tony Jo. Charity Gig done for guide dogs for the blind in 1991. As always, i do not own the copyright on this VHS but i do not want this footage to be lost. Many video tapes never made it to DVD and were thrown out. with it snippets of our great comedy history.

Charlie Williams - The best of the Comedians

Charlie Williams footage is rare so i have managed to piece together everything from the comedians collection (the published dvd's of course). I assume the BBC will never fully publish the original full series', so the remainder of Barnsley's greatest comedian's humour will be lost to the unviewable archives forever. Enjoy what i have found.

Old Barnsley Footage, found on a VHS tape (Sorry for the poor quality)
terrible.
Met him in 5 fishers great Yarmouth many years ago and when he was crossing cock inn Lane Bridge Sheffield where we were working a pure gentleman
The days when we were allowed to laugh
This is real comedy thanks guys
It's a sad state when comedians like Charly would be classed as a far right biggot by today's snowflakes
Class ! Before we had hatred everywhere. God Bless them all. 🙏
Excellent as was originally
What a sad country this no more laughter
Me and my better half saw all the greats of comedy, they call Bernard Manning, but what they dont know is he raised £thousands for various charities.
Im now 80 and as far as I'm concerned we had the best comics, groups, shows like the black and white minstrels, and we never give a thought to the things that they accuse it of nowadays, people today see racism where it doesn't exist.
Good footballer too
Thank you j hampe for putting these legends together 😂😂😂😂😂
I remember him in an episode of love thy neighbour
O/
Sometimes risque, never crude, always funny.
One of the first black footballers to play in Britain .. Donny Rovers !! 😮
My mam and dad ran a working man's club in 1970 s I worked the concert bar a young 18 yr old great days great folk
Charlie pure brill and not only a comedian but a good footballer good Yorkshire man and so smartly dressed
Only one proper comic there - the fat bloke in the blue shirt towards the end - I wonder who he was?
Top man our Charlie .
I don't think anyone had a bad word about Charlie. 'ey behave or i'll come and live next door to thi'' anyone would have gladly had Charlie next door.
I saw Charlie Williams at the Spa theatre in Scarborough with my Mum and Sister he was nice bloke to talk to
Charlie was one of the very best comedians of that era. Never failed to make us laugh. Rest in peace me ol flower.
Charlie what a star
Better times
I vaguely remember this, I was 7 in Dec 1974. Everyone smoked! Charlie Williams was so warm and charasmatic, he'd have been a good actor.❤
What a funny man,proper comedian 👍
I absolutely love the old comedians. Every single one of them did his best (sometimes her best) to entertain the whole nation. Some funnier than the rest, but they all contributed whole heartedly. Bless them all. You'll never be forgotten.
When ever anyone says to me the ultimate Barnsley Man it's always Charlie Williams 🥲🙌
The reason he was probably accepted(ish) more than others who looked similar to him is because all his mannerisms are white.
Charlie Williams was brilliant..when we were allowed to have a ..sense of humour..
Can’t stand when they laugh at there own crap jokes
Loved the pieces with Charlie’s dad. Both no longer with us. Love hearing the Yorkshire accent. “Tha can’t buy class!”
How the hell can you still hit those notes man ?? Wow
2024 folks watched the whole video.
Good old Charlie. As always the decent stuff gets consigned to history and the rubbish goes on indefinitely.
George Roper ..absolute legend ..delivery and everything was perfect ..love watching him ❤
True top class comedian, down to earth talent when our country had fun and laughter and everyone took things with a pinch of salt wish these days were still with us
Charlie Williams … absolute one off
Charlie was brilliant
Who's the guy who tells the lesbian joke?
I really tried .. but he is not funny
Remember Charlie Williams. Loved the accent. A real sport and great comedian. They don't make 'em like that anymore!
No Eddie Flanagan? Disappointing…..
You still see people with them leather helmets now
What a legend of a man well funny👏👏👏
Complete crap not even funny in the 1970's
Shut up
No sense of humor, abysmal
Barnsley's finest.
HAPPY TIMES, BUNNY Was just a sweetheart, Such a shame to find out about his partner Philip. Very happy times had with Jean, K&S , M&S, and the wonderful Gary. X
Shows how little TV I watched. I have never heard of him before 😂
