Heaven Grows Up Happy New Year!
I put together a short video of Heaven from small female flower to going to the weigh off, having a place of honor welcoming everyone to our small town, to seed collection. Join me in remembering the summer pumpkin Heaven of 2024. Against all odds she not only made it through but she was my largest of the patch.

The patch (s) are cold and slightly snowy. Winter is here. It feels like it came in in a hurry. I’m okay with it. I won’t be spending as much time outside tho. I did bring in some water from my rain barrels but forgot to let out the rest of the water in my barrels, I hope they won’t burst. 🤞🏼 I also brought in my liquid fertilizers. Heaven was removed from the town sign display (time for Christmas decorations) and I went to the town compost dump to see if there were seeds that were still in her flesh that I could find. I did it! I get back out into the garden cleaned up both areas where I grew giant pumpkins, a good patch and my newer patch. I weeded and did my soil test, it is returned, but I have not deciphered what it means yet so I will have to get back with you on that. Thank you, my father was a good man, never raised his voice, never hit us, was always willing to show us how to accomplish a task. He could fix anything. He was shy, and short and very nerdy. But none of that mattered to me. He was a very nice grand father as well. We lost him in 2006. Two years after this photo. He was only 68.
I miss my dad. Especially when out walleye fishen. He loved those walleyes

Nope, lol nothing is getting bigger. Really. The pumpkin reaches that far normally but there is no rooting. Just where the pumpkins sit while the plant behind them grow.

That looks more like a squash then a pumpkin.
I think it looks like a white apple. In one of my previous videos I included the giant pumpkin this plant seed came from and she is a big white pumpkin. But! The seeds from this pumpkin is a cross with the beautiful orange 2404 Barron that I grew as well. So the pumpkin to grow from this seeds has the potential to be orange! 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
