first album i bought in nyc, on st. marks, this time of year 2002. knew him and his solo work, this album, but didn't own it. college radio outta fordham uni played it in full one morning when i was getting ready to go teach 7th grade social studies in the Bronx. helluva year, this album was my soundtrack. om om,

We had amazing songwriting in a very short time. Just 7 years with Beatles. I feel sorry for those that were not there. We had a new future classic song released nearly every day for a few beautiful years.

I am 71 years old, we listened the beatles on the radio in mexico city,since then until now I have never tire to listen beatles, this album has more than seventy years old and it has all the character to tell us what is life, that it- is a pity take each other love, let it down, and so many things make me think,feel, sing this songs with pleasure and sadnnes too.

I'm also in that age range....66. But, whatever.....Listen to the Beatles in 1964, ok ? Then listen to the "White Album " in 1968....Transformational or prolific adjectives do not do their volume of music creation justice. It makes you want to sit down, drop a tab of acid and listen to it again from 1964 to "Let is Be" in 1971. I'm kidding , I'm not encouraging young drug use ! But, it's trippy..we went from Elvis to Ravi Shankar....JFK,RFK,MLK...wtf ?! Season it with the Viet Nam war, Watergate, etc... And how the music reflected our time. I still feel young, but it's been a long strange trip for sure 😎😳

This album was queued up the night that my unrequited love for one of the most beautiful woman I have ever known was fulfilled when she decided to reprieve me from the Purgatory of her "Friend Zone" to the Paradise of her "Lover Zone". "I'll Have You Anytime" became our song while our thing lasted. Thanks, George, for all you gave us.

What an honor it was to have lived through the 60s and 70s with increasing levels of awareness. Helped me to withstand the ups and downs of the following decades.

My favorite solo Beatle album(s). George improved Bob Dylan's "If Not for You" and made it his own. And I bet Bob is eternally grateful. But always sad that he lost a very close friend, such as they were.

I prefer to listen to this on vinyl, or on George's channel.
