    @adamdeuling5720 could you please post some videos of you designing in solidworks or autocad and then building those designs. The whole process, including mistakes. If you Program in autocad, that would be awesome to see as well. Thank you for what you've posted so far. It's been extremely helpful.

    This brought a tear to my eye, since I had exactly the same experience with my shop teacher, Joe Stinauer. I had 5 hours of shop per day, my senior year, and that’s the only reason I graduated with honors…lol. His teaching style cracked me up! Some of the kids would take the class figuring it was an easy grade but, Joe quickly saw through that and usually booted out 1/4 of the class the first week…lol. I’ll never forget a quote from Joe…”I can teach you how to do a job but I can’t teach you how to work…that was your parents job”. I’ve lost count how many kids I’ve hired and fired and when I handed them their final paycheck, I told them “your parents failed”. I graduated in 1981 and within about the next 5 - 10 years, the school board was pushing to end the shop classes when the teachers retired. Joe went before the board countless times. Their comment was, “kids just need to know computers these days”. Joe responded “who the hell do you think is building your houses, wiring your houses, plumbing your houses, working on your cars?”. Sadly, they did end the metal shop program when Joe retired, and Joe passed from cancer about 15 years after retirement 😢. I went to work right out of high school for a local manufacturer, worked there 6 years and started my own shop in 1985.

    I know its a bit old, but how would you compare cut quality as far as dross, finishes, cleanup with these sync carts vs the regular machine fine cuts for thinner material 10-18 guage?

  • @ajamit007
    @ajamit007 8 месяцев назад

    In simple terms its, Sheet Thickness x 8 = V Opening Dimension of Die For e.g. if your Sheet Thickness is 1.5mm, then its Optimal V Opening Dimension of Die should be 1.5 x 8 = 12mm.

    Nice video. I would not place my fingers inside the part, when making the last two bents. If for some reason the program is wrong and the bend is deeper your fingers are trapped.. No fingers between the part and the punch is always best.

    When you touch those buttons I freak out a bit. They look weak for industrial use. How much does one of the panels cost to replace? Can you access it by USB instead? If so, is the software to do so open source (in case the company goes broke and/or just stops supporting it at some point in the future)? Do you get any extra panels with the machine?

      the pressure is determined by machine, the best workaround is to put on corrections on the bend angles. You basically tell the machine to bend 88 instead of 90. Then you measure whatever it actually did - and keep adjusting the "correction" you used until you find your sweet spot. Then you can save your settings for future use for that material/thickness. However in my experience - you need adjustments with every new batch of sheet metal.

      Depends on Brake capabilities. If you use ‘tonnage’ mode, you program with pressure, not depth.

    hello. The explanations are great, I wish it had been like that when they explained to me I am a press brake operator for 16 years and I tell them if when they taught me they would have explained it that way it would have been great but not only did they tell you here it is the pressure for the angle, dimension and tonnage, thanks for these videos keep going, but a slight detail do not do that of hitting die with die because even if they are hardened the dies degrade, the hardness is only 5 to 7 thousandths, and for For example, you have a die with a radius of .008 or .015, they are fine and to make them like this, hitting a die with a die with tonnage is bad because it ruins the radius instead of being .015, it becomes .024 to .032 and there are jobs that deal with fine dies and then they have to buy others just to center the die, the dies run into each other and with the minimum of tonnage, it is only one point and I say this so that the tool lasts, they are not ours, but they are our tools of work as operators #amadapressbrake #cincinnatipressbrake #accurpresspressbrake #durmanpressbrake #thrumpspressbrake

    You would be better off with a gooseneck tool, starting with the 2.315 first and then .935. More correct results. 😬

    • @Almane-ri8vy
      @Almane-ri8vy Год назад

      As long as his angle is consistent down the entire flange the next bend will be consistent. You can also raise your backstops as close to the bend line of the part as possible and avoid most of the dimensional changes ,but, not all because there will always be variation (grain direction, thickness, even pressure of the part against backstops). But, we are talking .005 thousands and he has .030. What he’s doing is perfect without spending the thousands for specialty tooling.

Please keep the videos coming!
