I's best to 'tack' things in place first to ensure they fit properly and to limit warping and buckling due to excessive localised heat. Once you are happy witht he fitment you can then fully 'seam' weld in place permanently. In addition, there's a certain skill involved in welding light gauge (thin) steel. It's best to 'pulse' weld and allow heat to dissipate efficiently, rather than burn through 😉. Thanks for watching, plenty more episodes to catch up on 👍

It's a steel chassis. So difficult to show its construction without welding.. Keep watching as the finished jeep is amazing. It has everything, including machine gun 😊 👍

Thanks Joe. The full auto thing seems to be a very grey area in the UK in relation to paintball guns/markers, the law isn't very clear on what's allowed and what's not. As a paintball marker isn't classed as a firearm I think full auto is allowed on private land but more research may be required. Thanks for watching, need to get this thing out into open country to test it's capabilities now.. 😊👍

Funny, the thought crossed my mind re rigging up a small gas pulse via a solenoid and igniter. Now that would be super cool 🤔. Next episode really needs to be out in an open field actually driving the thing.. Thanks for watching.. 😊👍

T-case and axles are from a Suzuki Jimny, outer axles are cut down and we used just the short side inner axle (no inner axles were harmed during the making of this series.. :) Visit our Channel page, you can see this build from the start, and even see the donor vehicles.. 😉 I hope you've watched the whole series, we've just fitted a machine gun to this mini jeep, the next episode is due to be publicised this Friday. The mini jeep build has been a great opportunity to pass some of these on now to the wee chap, hopefully he will get the same enjoyment and pass them on further down the line. You're most welcome. As I was a carpenter, I built my son and daughter a treehouse with a zipline into the pool. I put a lot of detail and effort into that. I also built a little liveable house for my daughter with lounge, bedroom, fireplace and working kitchen. But that was long before youtube :)). Does not beat your jeep though!!! I had to buy my kids a mini jeep and it was not even 10%of what you guys built. Ill keep my eyes peeled for any more of your videos.

Thanks! We're in the UK so needs to be right hand drive. They did make a post war RHD conversion kit, so there are a few rare RHD's kicking around mostly in Australia as the LHD was illegal to drive there for a time. Hope you've watched the rest of the episodes to date, it's all painted up now with invasion star etc. Stencilled. 😊 👍

Yeh, that was an amazing feature wasn't it. From what I've researched only the earlier jeeps had this, it was later dropped as demand grew for higher production volumes during the war (not sure if the GPW's had flip lights, I'm sure someone will confirm). We haven't installed flip lights on the mini jeep at this point but I guess they could be retro fitted, maybe for another episode. 😉 👍 Thanks for watching, great comments.
