The exit is at 12 o’clock so should be in the left lane.

Some of the spiral roundabouts can be very confusing. You'll approach in the correct lane, remain in that lane by keeping to the left hand fork every time the lane splits. Your destination road markings will often disappear and be replaced by those for another exit, BUT you must stay in this lane as it WILL feed off into your exit in the left lane. This happens if taking the exit from A19 (S) to Whitley Bay (Holystone Roundabout). You approach in right lane, for Gosforth/Wallsend. You follow your lane which then displays A19 (S) only causing panic as you think you're in the wrong lane so you switch a lane to right (A191) only to feed off into the right hand lane of this exit. If you'd stayed where you were, you'd feed off into default left hand lane, but road markings didn't make this clear at all!

Bloody hell, can't hear the no doubt useful commentary for that way too loud music!

From the video we cannot tell if the learner indicated left to show he/she was leaving the roundabout at the next exit, if they indicated and the black car still went in the way they did, would that also be a fail? In this scenario what would have been the best course of action for the learner driver that would not have resulted in a fail? Also, i feel the black car did not obey the give way sign.

Is this spiral roundabout part of the test for 2023? I will have a test next week thursday and my instructor doesn't cover this spiral.

Got my test in Blyth coming up, and I've not driven there before. Worried about Moor Farm or North Seaton roundabouts coming up as there are no spirals on my usual routes, so thanks so much for doing this video!

At that roundabout they took it close to the centre. Not to excuse the vehicle in question but had they been in the left hand lane their intentions would of been more clear. Car still shouldn’t of gone but I assume they figured they were turning right, not going straight

Watched all your videos for blyth routes,was wondering if you will be downloading anymore as i am learner driver.

We have some of these awkward right turn junctions locally but without a turning box on the main road. This complicates things further as you need to keep left of the centre line but not squeeze traffic on your nearside. Keeping left of the centre line means maintaining a very accurate curved approach.

Got my test next Friday so nervous😭wanna pass so bad! ( I failed, stalled and rolled back slightly) Edit : I passed!

I got so confused at the junction with the yellow box in Blyth heading up toward the test center 🤦🏻‍♀️ i waited in the box ready to turn right passed the pound stretchers but there was so much traffic heading down passing me so had to obviously give way the lights were nearly changing, I managed to turn right before they changed but was it wrong to wait in the yellow box ?

Man I find these roundabouts distressingly confusing. Why didn’t you turn left off the roundabout at 3:00, the sign says Annitsford?
