My videos are about some of my favorite things.... enjoy :)
History, fishing, hiking, gold panning, wandering, gold rush towns, storms, wildfires, museums, pioneer/miner cemeteries, historic houses, parks, rivers, lakes, mountains, airports, nature photography, driving dash cam tours, Native American sites, cool bridges, the abandoned, flea markets, Rockhounding , Lookouts, dirt roads, sunsets, dams, reservoirs, and a few lesser known oddities like a 92 year old tortoise or a couple of KuneKune pigs that sit for treats!
Northern California is a wild and wacky wonderous place...

Well done
Well done !!!!!
I wonder who the artist is. 😊
@@desertdeb doesn’t say in the archive. I don’t even know the year!
This was a pretty cool video April. Thanks for sharing.
Today needed some mello vibes! Thanks 909!
441 San Mateo Ave location has not changed, not even the gutter down spout! Thought that was pretty cool!🙂✌
Oh cool!
❤😊
Really good video...enjoyed watching it on this rainy day, here in the Gold Country!
@@joepiker I’m so glad you enjoyed it! ✌️😎
Nice art!
Cool April, Thanks
@@gandalfsmith had to share all these cool pics!! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment so I know you stopped by! ✌️😎
I still have a set of PSA wings, given out to children. Loved the smile on the aircraft. Your production quality is really good.
@@avnostlga I had wings from most airlines as a child the smile is really my favorite part!! And thank you! 😊
Your friend is flying out today. 🛬💥🤯
@@desertdeb positive vibes ✈️
HI Deb
@gandalfsmith Hi, how are you doing?
@@FindingNorcal 🧘♀️
@@desertdeb Doing good how about you ? You can always email me. I SURE do miss your lives.
Thank you April! Remember PSA very well great airline back in the 60's.
I remember the smiles 🙂
The serpentine up here is full of asbestos, so please don't break pieces off of the formations, there's a reason why they're not disturbed, and still there to look at ✋🏻
Stockton is not isolated from Sacramento there are literally two highways that head directly into Sacramento the I 5 North and 99 North.
@@RtSnh-l3k5j yes but this video is about the PAST when those did not exist! ✌️😎
Back in the 70s you could get some good LSD
😊Thx for posting. I grew up on the Sacto Refuge South of town and attended school in Willows. Some of these views i know. Its saddening now to see how downtown has fallen into decay😢and so different from when we lived there. Its a Bankrupt town, truth be told.
Resilient man rebuilds after fires, and earthquakes we won't quiet. L.A. will rebuild too! thank you
Thank you April I always enjoyed making deliveries to Berkeley and had to stop and get a soft serve ice cream on University on the way out of town.
Memories!
I was born at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley..circa 1951. PS.. Did you know that the Hayward Fault is directly under Berkeley?
that whole area scares me geographically speaking
❤
Perfect music. Traffic jams GALORE.
great vid
@@richardraymund908 thanks!!
3:04 Hotel Marysville belongs to history now. It caught fire on Fathers Day weekend 2024 and was completely gutted. They just recently finished demolition of it.
@@kurtb8474 yes very sad.
not a fan of GN
Hey, these new laws aren't too bad. Thanks for sharing April.
I think the new laws are good, but I'm not understanding the lemon law.
@@desertdeb yes most good, and the lemon law is being amended so that one in the air from what I read
Okay, so aside from schools not reporting a kid identifying as whatever, I don't see what's so bad about any of these. What am I missing?
@@avnostlga I never said they were bad! Just ALOT of em!
@@FindingNorcal I don't think it is so uncommon that new laws come after the first of the year. I for one am glad that we are walking back the classifications of crimes from misdemeanors to felonies. I don't know whoever thought that was a good idea, clearly didn't understand human opportunism.
😮 here we go
This is the way maya Angelou experienced it , ots crazy i love the 209
I never been to Santa’s Village in Scotts Valley sadly, it was long gone before I was born. But that building at 1:42 was the last remaining building, and my sister and her friends used to hangout there when at was abandoned. I only saw it one time, the building was the Polo Barn built for golf champion and polo player Marion Hollions. But Sadly it was demolished in 2014!
Thank you for the history lesson April. It's so sad what they did to the Japanese Americans.
👍🏻👍🏻
@@Smithsgold thanks Jeff!
Good job I really like your work. thank you, the A.I. voice works well easy to understand
@@davec9244 thanks!☺️
😊
Spent summers there. But mostly at a place called the forebay. At least that's what we called it. I was there from 66 to 74
There was a green line that my parents told me would take me somewhere. I just learned it was to the dam but I thought it took me to Chinatown. Don't know why but I was 7 then so who knows what I was thinking
@@nickjimenez4262 Oroville had 2 chinatowns! That’s a title of a video I made has some old maps
Thank you for sharing. I have been to all of them and worked at Pigeon Point for 7 years. You forgot one lighthouse that sits in the Bay at the entrance of San Pablo Bay. On the Richmond side of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. East Brother Lighthouse, it was built in 1853 and is now a Bed and Breakfast.
@@leticiakohnen4954 ahhh I didn’t know about that one thanks for the info! ✌️🤠
I was born and raised in oroville until I was 7 yrs old. I remember a park with an old fire truck type thing. It was painted black, seemed huge then. Also there was a green line on the road that took you somewhere In town.
@@nickjimenez4262 sure it wasn’t one of the locomotives at Hewitt park?
@FindingNorcal I'm not sure. I left when I was 7 and I'm 59 now. I remember climbing on it and being scared when I got to the top. Is the green line on the road still there? It was supposed to take you on a tour of something. I remember Table top mountain, the feather river, learning to swim at the feather river plunge, getting on the swim team. I loved oroville
@ yes the line is still there it takes you to the dam! I have several more videos about Oroville on my channel! 🤓
@@nickjimenez4262 I think I saw what you must be remembering there’s a big fire hose dolly with giant wheels it’s by the freeway now but used to be at Hewitt park, it’s repainted black and yellow now . If you want to follow me on Facebook I can send you a pic! Facebook/finding NorCal
@FindingNorcal thanks I think that's exactly it! I remember thick black paint on that thing. I have 8mm film of me walking in the 4th of July parade wearing boxes with foil on them I was supposed to be a robot. Also going to the fish hatchery. I will follow you will be fun to see everything again
🎉
Cool Place
Merry Christmas 🎄
Enjoy all the old pics ty. And merry Christmas
These old town videos are great. Keep them coming.
@@sambrinley9823 there’s a bunch on my channel!! Enjoy!!
To bad marysville didn't have a lot of those old bulidings. Still, the town would be a lot cooler to visit like old sac
There are MANY historic buildings left in Marysville!
I've lived in Humboldt since 1950. The Carson Mansion is the only place I recognized.
Unfortunately the Bidwell Mansion burned down last week. Horrible loss for Chico.
Enjoy your coffee
I live a 1/2 mile from the dam
@@flyprincess69 beautiful area
ITS NOT SEWAGE, YOU'RE LYING ! Its tertiary treated reclaimed water. The same stuff used to irrigated golf courses and grow many types of consumable crops. This valuable method for producing electricity is very needed… unless you think a world before its discovery is a better place….
