    RTSA has now gotten approval of Statutory Instrument No 19 on Online Hailing Taxis and Public Service Vehicles. In short, Ride hailing apps have to make sure drivers and vehicles have PSV licences amongst other things. It is also expected to improve safety because the app has to show the name and number of the driver and the customer. How does this make you feel?

    What to do or consider b4 buying land with no papers from someone to avoid future conflict

    • @BornTheBuilder
      @BornTheBuilder 4 дня назад

      Hmm this is a tricky one but interesting topic. The best is to avoid buying land without any form of paperwork. However, in the case of traditional land, it's important to get your name registered in the village book by the headman/woman. You must try to verify that the person selling is actually recognized by others as the "owner" meaning you have to do your investigation on the ground. Talk to the area councilor, neighbors if possible. I think this question deserves an article. Sign up for my email newsletter where I will share a more detailed answer and opportunities. I received the following good question from @Princepcmj on another video but I'm posting here for everyone's benefit and discussion: What are the risks and benefits of doing a taxi business in Zambia? Here are 6 Benefits and 6 Risks Benefits 1. High demand in the city due to limited public transit and car ownership. Its either you take a bus or drive. Cycling has a negative image in Zambia for some reason(why?). 2. Low entry barrier if you use ride-hailing platforms. You can start with just one car. 3. Flexible working hours, allowing profit maximization during peak times. However, depends how you look at it. 4. Steady cash flow if you are consistent in working. 6. Potential for expansion into related services or fleet growth. Risks there are many risks just like any other business but here are a few. 1. Frequent vehicle maintenance due to our road conditions and use of second hand cars. 2. Fluctuating fuel costs impacts profit. Fuel affects many things. 3. Saturated market with significant competition. Nowadays almost everyone with a car is a taxi. 4. Inconsistent demand, there are slow times of the day and month 5. Security risks, including theft and safety concerns at night for the driver. 6. Challenge of finding reliable, honest drivers with low turnover. Biggest risk if you followed my story in this video. I hope this has provided more insight to the question. 🙂I have created a starter kit for those who want to start taxi business. I love how minimalistic it is. There isn't a lot going on, and yet there's so much in it! I have a small piece of land by the roadside and I have been thinking about putting a lodge there and this capsule concept really makes sense! 🔥

    • @BornTheBuilder
      @BornTheBuilder Месяц назад

      I know right. The question though is: will your target customers understand the concept? I'm afraid that in Zambia for example, the customers might relate it to a coffin and superstition, which can lead to a failed business. Who is the target market in your case

    • @jabdhlakama
      @jabdhlakama Месяц назад

      True, also I don't know if we are capable of having an all gender inclusive situation. We would have to separate the rooms somehow. Women, left wing, men, right wing...and another wing for couples with slightly larger rooms? It might seem strange at first, but, ever increasing costs of lodges and hotels might push people to try something new...and with the right marketing, who knows, we might have something that works.

    • @BornTheBuilder
      @BornTheBuilder Месяц назад

      So I've noticed that there are some women only capsule hotels. These appeal to female solo travelers a lot because it makes them feel safe. I believe that is one way of going around gender issue. I think you are right about cost motivating acceptance. At the end of the day, we don't want to spend more if there's a cheaper and acceptable option. I think incorporating modern fittings such that it looks as good or even better than most hotels would help it sell itself

    So cool, man, congratulations and good luck with your Fuji hike! Thanks for watching. How was the experience in a hut on Fuji? I know its not a 5 star hotel but I'm curious if its worth it or just push climbing up and down in one day. I recommend Mount Ena but don't miss the trail entrance like we did lol.

    • @leusuzuki763

      @@BornTheBuilder, Actually, my experience there wasn’t great. I didn’t sleep at all because of a headache and the snoring of others. I kind of regret spending the money, but since it was my first time, I was nervous about not being able to hike Mt. Fuji. lol. If you’re confident you can complete the hike in a day, I’d recommend skipping the hut rental. Next time I think I’ll do the same. PS: Please be careful with your health. Last month, a young Indonesian man died of a heart attack there due to breathing problems (high altitude) and some pre-existing medical conditions. Be aware of your own conditions beforehand. If you or someone in your group is having trouble, please don’t push it. Other than that, I think Mt. Fuji is safe, and it’s practically impossible to get lost there.

    • @BornTheBuilder
      @BornTheBuilder Месяц назад

      That's unfortunate to hear about the man that died. Hiking is quite dangerous now that I think about it. Aside from snakes, Mt. Ena also has bears so have the little bells ringing on your backpack. I'm told it keeps them away. We have some oxygen spray tanks on our checklist so we are good to go for hiking Mount Fuji. The trick with sleeping around people who snore is to sleep before them haha. I hope you enjoy(ed) Mt. Ena. Its very nice and quiet. Let me know how it goes.

    • @BornTheBuilder
      @BornTheBuilder 2 месяца назад

      hahaha. Avengers assemble!! The snakes blocked the path back so we could only go forward at this point. We had already invested about 4 - 5Km into the hike meaning going back would have been a waste. I think one of the benefits of group hiking is you get encouragement to continue from others when you would normally feel like turning back. Additionally, when in a group, the snake has options on who to attack first so you get a chance to run away.

    Good insights and true. Have lived some of the insights. I encourage patience and understanding medium to long-term development plans in each area.

      Very true, patience is key. I think sometimes in real estate it's not even for your benefit but for the next generations benefit. Have you watched part 2? ruclips.net/video/BoWdxL7DStU/видео.htmlsi=NtHP8Kz3N-yvbKQ_ Any other tips you can share from your experience for the benefit of everyone?

      @BornTheBuilder , I reading a book entitled Your money: frustration or freedom? It highlights Biblical guide to earning, saving, spending, investing and giving. Bought two plots in a remote area which is fast developing and later invested in an already developed area where built own house and later two flats for renting out. Still on the journey, and aim is for postering to built up from there also. God willing I must add.
