Replacing Rotten Crankcase Seals, 2003 Polaris 600 Classic Touring
Просмотров 6 тыс.Год назад
2003 Polaris 600 Classic Touring Snowmobile. Repairing the Crankcase and water pump seals. The sled was sitting for a few years and the ethanol in the fuel destroyed the rubber components. It ran ok, but would not idle unless the choke was on half. It also bogged down in the low-midrange.

Repairing Grouser Track Bushings
Просмотров 2172 года назад
Fixing worn out over the tire grouser tracks to use on a Case 1845C for plowing snow. These were purchased from an auction and the bushings and master links were missing. Many of the other links have severely worn bushings that will also need replacing.
Does this sled have an electric fuel pump? Surprised it would get any pulses to run a mechanical pump with seals in that condition.
Gotta do the same thing to my wife’s sled before this season comes. Very informational, especially with the gasket kit part numbers. Great video!
Great job on diagnosis. My jetski may have a similar problem. Thank for the video!😊
That’s crazy , imagine trying to do that will wheels , grouser king of the jungle for ott
great video
I have a 2 mile long mountain road more rocks and dirt than gravel. Tires with HD chains are better than rubber tracks. We just got 3.5 feet. I have used forestry chains chains for the last 10 years. Grouser tracks are great in dirt. I have a set but don’t use them on my steep driveway to plow snow
Ethanol did not cause the seals to fail, its called age
Polaris junk.
hey bud, i commented on another vid you made asking you about over the wheel steel tracks for snow. i'm fucking impressed you did all this WHILE filming, good job dude. - barbie
wow Sunny, i can't believe you don't have any comments. man, i'm super interested in those tracks. i'm on the fence on tracked vs wheeled skidder, mainly cuz of the snow. i have a mile long gravel driveway, steep! how are those working out for you? are those custom or are they available? thanks heaps if yo reply:) -barbie

you said sitting for 5 year? replace all engine seals
Such a shame that a beautiful sled like that and in great condition, needed seals already. I wonder if something else rather than ethanol fuel, caused it? Great job, btw! I recently sold two polaris sleds because they were sitting 10 years and had a feeling they'd need a similar overhaul.
