I went for shore jigging in Geoje in South Korea. The spot was available to be accessed by walking. The lure I used was 60g metal jig. Boat fishing consumes more than 1 full day and it costs some. If you do not want to go to such an extent for fishing, you probably look for walkabout fishing spots within city area. I visited Kota Kinabalu more than 10 times, and based on what I have discovered, I made this introduction video for fishing spots in Kota Kinabalu I hope you find this video useful for your future travel to Borneo I...

👍👍👍👍👍
What type, lengrh and aize leader are you using?
WHERE ARE YOU !!!!!!!!
To me S Korea is consider one of the best fishing grounds for sport anglers
That’s an amazing catch from shore. Quick question: is there a good tackle store to buy fishing gear in Busan? I will be traveling there in a few days. Thanks.
Ни стыда, ни совести, ни геолокации 😂
Cool video. I am a bass and sea trout fisherman living in Jeju. Looking for artificial lure fishing down here.
Can you share the gear specifications you used for catching that garouper fish. Rod, line, leader, jig.
Awesome video! As a strictly English speaker living in Korea it’s difficult to find fishing content. Your videos are very informative and your editing skills add so much value to the videos.
what rod and reel did you use for this trip?
Yellowtail (hamachi) eaten as 회 (sashimi) is out of this world.
✌🏼
Wow, thank you for the information on current. I learned a lot
You’re welcom
Nice to see you back, and those are some great fish. 🔥 What pound line did you use?
Thanks! I used 20lb line
@@rockyshore-english Ow just 20 pounds, great job. I hope I can catch an Amberjack/Yellowtail in Jeju or Ulleungdo this summer again 💪. Enjoy the fishing season ✌️
Hi Rockyshore, I want to go fishing like you are, i am trying to see your link at Kakao but seem that didn’t work. I am also in Korea, lmk if we can link up together to go fishing.
Hi my kakao link seems to stop working. You can still send me an email.
Nice. Good Size.
wow! what a fight! what a fish!
Nice job!
Oh man. I want to fish in Busan. Looks like I will visit Korea again this year. This time, Busan instead of Seoul. And as far as I understand, more possibility to go fishing in Busan. When I went to Seoul, I found and traveled to multiple tackle shops. Was hard to communicate but from what I gather, you have to plan to go fishing. Because it can take 3hrs or more to get to fishing area.
Nice wish to go there :)
thanks for coming back! don't disappear for long. Do you think a spinning rod up to 100 grams is enough for sea fishing in Korea or is sometimes more needed?
Hi! Thanks for coming back to watch my video. I agreee that a 100g of rod is enough in most of cases if you are targeting 30-40cm fish or if you tartget Hailbut or rock fish you can catch up to 50-60 as well, but Amberjack or Tuna with the same size will overwhelm you.
glad to see a new video!
Good to see you uploading again
Welcome back. That looks like fun. Something I need to do one day. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures. Looking forward to seeing more uploads from you.
Thank you for watching! I plan to upload once in every 2 month or so
Wow....big fish 👏👏
bigger one is waitig in the next video
Nice catch, what kind of stove you use to cook those noodle?
Thanks for posting this info!
good video, i just moved close to Gunsan. Any recommendations for a rod if i am casting from shore? the first one i bought snapped on my 4th cast.
You need to check the maximum weight the rod can handle. If you use a lure that does not go over the maximum weight of your rod can handle. I think what lure you will use should decide the choice of your rod. In Gusan, I prefered to use 15~25g lure and a M action with around 100g heavy rod.
Would love to have those flounder in NZ! Your flounder are more like halibut, with the bigger mouth. Our flounder have a tiny mouth and are very difficult to catch with a lure.
Probably you it is halibut. I am just not so familiar with fish name in English😅
how does this float differ from a classic float and is it clearly visible from afar?👍
I do not understand clearly what a classic float but i guess you meant stick float standing vertically? This type of float is efficient in catching current and you can gain good understanding of the speed of current and change of it as well and you can adapt your fishing style accordingly. As for the visibility from afar is not so good with this one, but if you offset the buoyancy that the float has, you can feel through the line too.
thanks, is this float suitable for fishing from a boat?
Hello. Do I need a fishing license for sea fishing in Korea?
No you don’t
@@rockyshore-english Thank you for the reply. I'm packing my gear and looking for the best fishing spot in June.
Oh how exciting! June is the good season for fishing!
Great video and exciting catching! Happy to see you'er able to start getting a little more fishing in. What time of year is this? 바라건대 우리는 4 월에 낚시를 할 수 있습니다
Thank you! It was July. April is a bit early. The season starts from June here
Hi, can someone please explain to me the casting technique of iso rod? From 1:18 to 1:25 it is quite different to normal fishing rods.
Glad to see you back! Great video!
Thank you!
Aloha from hawaii. Glad to see a new video.
Thank you!
Does your Cell phone work there?
There was bit of signal interference maybe due to being blocked by tall rocks but it worked eventually
@rockyshore-english I was worried you could be stuck on that island and no boat can come to you if your phone does not work 😂
Oh actually it is a very possible situation. In the beginning of the video I was writing down my information on the boarding list. The captain will know in case someone boarded is missing from the list. But in very rare chance, some captains forget to refer to the boarding list and failed to pick everyone up at the end of the day and the angler stranded on a remote island had to wait until night when captain noticed that he missed someone.
Super happy to see a new video. Great footage and what an amazing catch
Thank you for waiting🙏
Wow that was really a struggle 💪 You catched 2 big ones. Nice to see a video again my friend
Hi! Long time no see. Thank you for your comment☺️
Such a long time since your last upload. Hope you are doing good. Great location and big fish. I hope I can do something like this next summer. 👍👍
Yes i have been so inactive😅 Thank you for remembering me. Hope you are doing fine too
I will stay put ❤
Thanks! Exactly what we are looking for. Commented on your other video too. Would love to take a fishing adventure with you when we visit, and would enjoy having you fish with us if you ever come to Washington State, USA. @Baywolf_films
I am glad to hear that the info i provided is helpful for you. I am not able to enjoy fishing as often as I used to, but I still love going fishing if I can find time. Let us see if we can work out the schedule!
Thanks for the reply. Sorry to hear you’re not fishing as much as you would like. We are coming to Korea in mid April and will be staying until May. Can you tell us what kind of fish we might target in April? Can you recommend a charter boat so we can sea fish? Hope we can meet and possible fish together. Hope to hear back.
Hi April is not so great time as the sea temperature does not recover yet. You can target cold water fish like cod in the east sea or rock fish.
Thanks. The information really helps us plan. We catch Cod and rock fish here in Washington, so probably won't fish in Korea this trip then.
Thank you for sharing the great video. My wife is Korean and we are coming to Korea in April to fish. We both love fishing. Your video made us get excited to go. Keep up the good fishing and great videos.👍👍👍
Wow inspiring to watch your video. Love how mom would join the son to go fishing. Do you actually travel with rod and reel while on a plane?
Thank you for your comment! I tried taking my fishing rod aborad when I went to Australia and Malaysia. You can bring them but you need to put the fishing rod into a hard case so that the rod does not get damaged.
I am years late but Very nice video. For those asking what’s the difference this and that, it’s basically finesse rock fishing setup. The line and hook setup maybe similar to some but ISO fishing has specific rod and reel to complete name it ISO fishing, without rod and reel it’s basically float fishing. Long sensitive rod gives more controls over, and the reel has a trigger drag to control the drag on your finger tip which makes it more fun and also very effective. In summary ISO fishing gives more control over your bait, target species and good control the fish you’re fighting. Active fishing no siting and waiting for luck
Thank you for your comment. Yes, I think you have really good understanding what ISO fishing is. It is active fishing as you keep searching for the most potential spot and try to observe and interpret constantly changing environment.
나도 저기 갔다가 한번 낚시해 봤어요.
Expensive fishing. The Fish Dust cost more than the fish.
hah not actually. This is expensive fish. Chum does not cost more than you think. If you did not catch anything then you lost your money on it but I did not. So, it was not the case for me.
OMG
Thank you very much man! Very interesting!
I want to fishing trip with you, is it possible?
Sorry for late reply. I am currently tied to full time work. Of course, I will try to make some time in the future but at the moment, I don't see any avilable time slot these days. Are you living in South Korea?
