Tree Spontaneously Breaks From Weight Of Large Hanging Branch
Nice job
Thanks!
Nice! I built out my Suburban as a full-time rig, so I had to use 1/2" plywood to cut down on the weight. I love the look of the 3/4" wood, though.
I'd love some info about where to find the locking storage box under the bed platform!
I added an Amazon link to it in the description! Thanks for watching!
Good job but....that looks exactly like Eternabond tape aka RV roof sealing tape, NOT VHB. No?
The VHB is under the bracket. That's what actually holds the bracket to the roof. I put the eternabond all over on top to minimize the elements getting to the VHB tape.
@@noelg9769 Aha. Gotcha!
Looks great! How much does it weigh, please?
I don't know exactly how much it weighs. It does have some weight to it. You could approximate the weight by the number of 2x4's used.
So I had never heard of the automatic switch, and I am trying to figure out how it works. You just attach it to the PVC pipe leg of the cart with adhesive two-sided tape and also screw it to the leg, but then do you connect the auto switch to an extension cord and plug the power tool to the automatic switch? So when you turn on the power tool, it is suppose to automatically turn on the vac, correct? Right before you added the automatic switch, what was that item you added to the top of the cart? I could not understand what you said.
Correct. The power tool and shop vac both get plugged into the automatic switch. That was just a holder for the brush attachment to the shop vac hose.
Good man. thank you for the parts list
You bet! Good luck!
Love too many to choose just one fav.🤘
Rock on!
Led Zeppelin
Thanks for watching to the end!
I am wondering if a telescopic pole like what is used in pool cleaning equipment would work in place of those tent poles. Hmmm?
Maybe! I don't know!
Way cool! Love it!!
Thanks!
Great build. One question, how did you get the 3/4 birch side cabinet built and attached?
I measured and test fit many times until it fit. I'd recommend just making a cardboard template. Mostly jigsaw for the cuts. Power carved the roundover. Router and roundover bit would be easier. It's all one unit assembled inside the suburban in pieces. In the front I have brackets that connect to the original attachment point for the middle row of seats. 200lb rated zip ties in back to the tie down loops. 200lb zip ties at top front to seatbelt attachment point. In back up high, steel handle screwed into suburban frame/roof and secured to birch with pad eye and 200lb zip tie.
@@noelg9769 Thank you very much. I am getting started on my build soon. That extra storage space is great.
This was so helpful! I’m drilling into the ceiling for an aerial silk and needed the advice about the drill bit and block. Thank you for taking the time to share
You bet! Glad it helped out!
Great build! I have a 2001 Suburban and I'm in the process of doing my own work, you gave me some more good ideas, thanks man! Safe and happy travels.
You bet! Thanks and good luck!
Just subbed.
Nice!!!!!
Thanks!
How do you cover windows for privacy?
I have window covers. For the windshield and front 4 windows, I bought mine from weather tech. I made the ones for the rest of the rear windows.
Nice build. Well thought out. Maximum use of space. Well done sir. 👍
Brilliant 😊
Thanks!
They dont make any good affordable 4wd vans for a Reasonable price. This is a great option.
Good job dude!
Thanks!
Nice build! I’m gonna try something like what you did. Thanks for the video.
Thanks! And good luck!
Nice built sweet video
Thanks!
Great work Noel, you wouldnt happen to have plans you would share/sell for the woodwork? thanks
No plans for it. I just measured and cut parts to fit as I went.

You did such a great job on those custom platforms and shelves! I found you through the Craigslist ad. Interested, but I think we would need a larger vehicle.
Thanks! And thanks for the interest!
Too bad that particular vehicle is trash.
I disagree, and this one has been great!
@@noelg9769 of course you'll disagree; you're trying to make money.
@jrambo7495 You are correct in thinking that I am trying to sell a vehicle that I genuinely believe has been great. Glad that came through in the video!
@@noelg9769 Ignore jrambo7495. It's rude to try to interfere with someone else's business by posting something to deter others from making their own minds up. Different strokes for different folks.. I am interested enough to consider checking it out in person if it is still available when I can (after holidays) To be transparent, 10.5k is hard for me and it is almost a 5 hr drive for me one way. Still giving it some thought though.
This is amazing
Thanks. Glad you like it.
What a great rig! Well done, thanks for sharing it with us.
You bet! Thanks!
Way to make it your own, your personality comes through big time.
Thanks!
can i use this method to hang my heavy bag?
It might be fine. But it would probably be better if you have a bracket that spans two ceiling joists, or at least puts two screws into the joist.
Holy Hell!!!! Your into is absurdly loud.
Yep! Sorry! Fixed on later videos!
Hit me with a volume change up like that again….I’ll scream so loud it rattles your brain. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ahahaha. I know! So sorry! Some other people said that earlier too. I tried to be better about it on my later videos.
@@noelg9769 just given ya a hard time man!!
This is amazing! Enjoy your travels!
Thank you!
Nice concept for a DYI awning! I love that it’s stored in place and you don’t have to find room inside the vehicle for it!
Thanks! I agree!
Nice build brother!!! Adventure on!!
Thanks!
I built the same setup and it is so top-heavy I can't pull it around the garage without it tipping over. I will need to build a wider base.
I just pull it from one of the pvc pipes each time I move it. But yeah man, whatever works for you.
Way to much chit
@ralphramirez1979 actually, it was just right for me 😁
Fantastic build👍
Thanks!
Very nice. You thought of everything 😊
Thanks
Nice job!
Thanks!
Very cool. Thanks for sharing
You bet! Thanks for watching!
I've had a sitting hammock installed in my basement for about 3 years. It keeps loosening. The bracket goes parallel with my joists. So only about 6 inches wide. Two bolts. I'm thinking I'd just get wood glue. Dip the bolts and drive them in. What do you think?
I'm not totally clear on the setup. And it depends on what is specifically causing it to loosen. But I'll take a shot. Personally, I always pre-drill with big fasteners. And if you're trying to affix permanently, I would recommend Total Boat high performance epoxy, not wood glue. Just know it will be permanent after that.
Hell yeah bro. Awesome build
Thanks dude
Your bluetti is massive , and this was a little more involved then I expected
Well, now you know!
This is a really nice build! Thank you for the walk through. I'm about to start a similar build in an 09 Suburban for camping near hiking trailheads and at RC events. Doing all the boring (but important) maintenance stuff now but cant wait to get started on the camper conversion.
Awesome. Good luck with your build!
Love the rig man. This thing is a beauty setup.
Thanks!
*Promosm*
Could you do this with a Tahoe or a ford expedition?
They're a little but smaller. So you'd have to make some changes. But you could definitely do something!
Fantastic build!
Thank you!
