NINDestruct
Добавлен 24 ноя 2012
Mostly nine inch nails videos, with some other sporadic interests.
Nine Inch Nails, a sampler, and a DX7
I loaded some Nine Inch Nails samples into an E-MU ESI 4000 sampler and am using a Yamaha DX7 as a midi controller to trigger them, in a similar fashion to their Self Destruct tour.
The samples I used can be downloaded from nindestruct.com/misc/nin_samples.zip
I'm probably not playing many of these correctly. I'm fine with it I've decided.

Nine Inch Nails Tracker Modules from the 90's
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.Месяц назад
Here's a showcase of some of my favorite fan-made tracker modules from the 90's. Tracker modules were similar in concept to midi sequencing, but with samples. Some of the popular trackers used in producing modules were Scream Tracker 3, FastTracker 2, Impulse Tracker, etc., usually each with their own file format. A whole community was built around tracking, with creators often collaborating or...

This is awesome! But does anyone know where to purchase the pack today? Spectrasonics doesn’t make it super obvious on their website. Or does anyone know of any free sources to download this sample for use? Thanks!
Pinfield having to drag stuff out of Kevin McMahon is so on point for both of them and its fantastic.
if you are triggering a sampler why dont you just connect a midi controller? paf
Nice 🤙🏾⚡🎹
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
❤good band ❤
👍👍👍👍
love the sample! nine inch nails! yes!
Awesome!

Awesome! I love the synth in this song
Nice!
Cool vid 😊
Very cool, NIN fan😎👍🏼👍🏼
SICK! Any notes on how to make the patches?
They are just samples on a sampler being triggered by the DX7. You can download the samples from here: nindestruct.com/misc/nin_samples.zip
Beans!!
Sweeeeet
Best use of a DX-7 I've seen in a long time! Thanks for sharing.
Wait a fucking moment. I have that on one of my NIN discs...
Late 80s early 90s was really the peak of analog music. Really amazing era in my opinion. I love the 60s, 70s and 80s. 90s a little bit as well but after 2000 something broke. It was probably the business model.
Thanks for sharing! Where did you find the samples? Did you chop them yourself from multitracks?
Mostly, Terrible Lie and Closer came from the multitracks, Happiness in slavery I had to hunt down in Screaming Slave, and Down in it came from the Singe remix. Oh, except Down In it's keyboard part I actually took from The only time multi.
@@nindestruct thanks for doing the work on this, having the "patches" and being able to (attempt in my case) play the parts is pretty rad
that is some damn good shit.
amazing!!!!
🤘🏼
Nice man, looks like fun. Just got the download to work and ill throw these on my MPC and jam with them later tonight. Thank you!!!!

We had no idea how good we had it back then....
The internet is forever. Shoutout to [vecna], who definitely had a much better sense for pitch than I did, lol. And kudos for how this was presented, it looks so clean, but I can tell it was a *lot* of work!
Thank you for both the kind words and for your hard work decades ago! And yeah, what I thought would be a weekend project turned into a 7 day marathon!
Thanks for upload🇧🇷
this is handsdown my favorite interpretation of NIN
OMG i had a ton of these in the late 90's. I had no idea what I was doing, but shortly after I learned what a s3m was, I found a bunch of NIN songs, then I saw a band perform at 930 club called Ec8or, they were from germany and played this style of noisy gabber punk and they used an amiga a500 computer for all the sounds, run through an eventide h3000. At the end of their show they smashed the amiga and threw it to somebody in the audience, thats how I found out what it was, i saw the kid leaving with the A500. Went home to a surplus store and found an a500 a week later and started making tracks, the rest is history!
Ha ha awesome!
NIN Midis were pretty popular choices for Doom stuff too back then~ :>
New Doom music unlocked 🎉
that was actually quake, but... yeah, sure
@@josedealva4205A: nin did music for doom3 B: it was popular to make nin midis for your mods in doom
I can already see the side scroller bea-em-ups going hard on the Genesis 💪
Here's a showcase of some of my favorite fan-made tracker modules from the 90's. Tracker modules were similar in concept to midi sequencing, but with samples. Some of the popular trackers used in producing modules were Scream Tracker 3, FastTracker 2, Impulse Tracker, etc., usually each with their own file format. A whole community was built around tracking, with creators often collaborating or remixing others' work. They were small in file size, allowing them to be freely shared via small downloads, email, or floppy disk. While tracking was big in gaming circles and demo scenes, several creators dedicated themselves to recreating, remixing, or reinterpreting famous artists' work; obviously Nine Inch Nails in this case. Sure, some rhythms might be slightly off, some notes in the wrong key, but for me that was all part of the charm. Plus it's interesting to see how the creators work around the formats' limitations in creative ways. All of these are available to download in multiple formats from the Music section of nindestruct.com. Join me in this look back at some classic NIN modules!
I believe this sample was also used in the intro for Kehlani - Gangsta
Let’s get that patch info! Is it all the model d? If so I’d like to see the settings to copy it on mine!
Yeah it's all the D. Here's the patch sheets, one worked good for midi and the other for CV. Depending on your controller there still might be some adjusting. imgur.com/a/wHkejZG
Thanks!
Thanks for posting this
Iron man was Wayne Gale?!
ACAB. I'm glad that idiot piggy got his time wasted too. God that newscaster was an obnoxious twat.
Yup and the drum samples are from Iggy Pop - Nightclubbing. Trent def played some keys on top of this.

Wow! I hear this way more than Night Clubbing
I never was a part of you.
Matt is basically a fan , it's awesome
Do you remember when nin had a contest to see who could come up with the best The Big Comedown remix? They had like a Java applet or an ActiveX component that allowed you to mix the tracks right in your browser. You could even save them and send them to your friends to listen.
I remember that! I could barely figure out how it worked, and submitted an absolutely abysmal "remix", ha!
This is a bad music video
Ritz tickets!
