tilian does these so well. and here in 2024 jon mess has never been better. the entire band is mind blowing

Tilian just has... too much of a high-pitched disney prettyboy voice to do justice to the old Jonny songs and he lacks power. No hate. He's great on his own songs of course. But early DGD Jonny just had that heroin pain in him that can't be replicated. His voice was angelic and frail but gritty and powerful and conveyed so much emotion. Plus he was a live performance god.

Tilian doesn't do this song justice. Can't wait for tree city 3 and hear Andrew do the older songs way better than Tilians whiny ass. He needs to stick to his songs

i think jons vocals during the older albums fit them better, and with the newer albums his newer vocals fit better, imo he was and is always great.

Over the years tillian grew on me I respect him and Jonny on the same level the passion they bring to DGD

Personally I prefer the DTBMI version. Those creepy whisper vocals just add so much to the song for me, but other than that both Tilian and Jon KILLED it

It would be an improvement if both tracks were in mono. This way, you would be able to fully hear all the sounds from both songs as they are distributed between the left and right speakers. Moreover, since the Tree City Sessions version has a reversed panning, much of the guitar that should be heard from the right channel goes unnoticed.
