Go Beyond RNA: Unveiling Downstream-of-Gene Transcripts (DoG RNAs)
Downstream-of-gene (DoG) RNAs are the RNAs transcribed continuously beyond the host gene transcription termination sites. They occur in ~10% protein coding genes in the cells, with typical sizes between 5~200 kb. Due to their extended lengths, some DoGs can further produce DoG-derived chimera RNAs and circular RNAs. DoG RNAs have many unique properties and important biological functions. They are often associated with cancers and diseases.
This webinar will cover:
• What DoG RNAs are
• DoG RNA Biogenesis
• DoG-derived chimera RNAs and circular RNAs
• DoG functions and diseases
• DoG RNA profiling and research roadmap ahead

Просмотров 4246 месяцев назад
R-loops are RNA:DNA three-stranded hybrid loop structure occurring in genomic DNA. They are formed during nascent RNA transcription in coding and noncoding regions in the genome. R-loops have important biological functions and are clinically linked to cancer, neural, and cardiovascular diseases. DRIPc-seq is an effective way to profile R-loops to discover and understand their functions, mechani...
Extrachromosomal circular DNAs- The extraordinary eccDNAs in cancer and diseases
Просмотров 1 тыс.Год назад
Extrachromosomal circular DNAs (eccDNA) are widely present in normal and cancer tissues. eccDNAs can carry and amplify oncogenes, drug resistance genes, and regularory elements that cause cancers and regulate other diseases. Their heterogeneity and disease association can be excellent diagnostic and prognostic markers. In recent years, eccDNAs have become one of the hotspots in cancer research....

Small RNAs, including miRNAs, pre-miRNAs, tRNAs, tsRNAs, and snoRNAs, perform fundamental functions in the cells and in diseases. Due to their enriched abundance in biofluids, these small RNAs have been studied as a new type of biomarkers. Profiling their expression is essential for studying them in biological and clinical sciences. Here we introduce Arraystar Small RNA Array that surpasses cur...
Explore Circular RNA Functions and Biomarker Potentials
Просмотров 8123 года назад
Increasingly, circRNAs are discovered to play important molecular roles in normal biology and clinical pathology. They have unique characteristics of expression derived from their backsplice sites (circular junctions). Due to the lack of free 5’ and 3’-ends, circRNAs are resistant to exonuclease degradation and are stabilized in biofluids for biomarker applications. This webinar will cover: • C...
Why and how to profile small RNA modifications?
Просмотров 5403 года назад
Small RNAs, including miRNAs and tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs), harbor a diversity of RNA modifications such as o8G, m7G, m6A, Ψ, and m5C. These modifications modulate small RNA activities in pathophysiological conditions. Quantitative profiling of modified small RNA levels and stoichiometry provides opportunities to uncover their new functional roles and use them as disease biomarkers. Arra...
How to study lncRNA expression and modifications
Просмотров 3,8 тыс.3 года назад
LncRNAs make up a long non-coding portion of the transcriptome, often expressed at low levels. Yet, with their important roles in gene regulation, cell proliferation/differentiation, organism development, biological pathways, and disease pathogenesis, lncRNA expression profiling has become an essential component of gene expression profiling studies in biology and clinical sciences. Moreover, ln...
How to study Circular RNA expression and modifications?
Просмотров 7 тыс.3 года назад
Circular RNAs are an unusual class of non-coding RNA loops having gene regulatory functions by multiple mechanisms. Due to the lack of free 5’ and 3’-ends, circRNAs are resistant to exonuclease degradation and are stabilized for biomarker applications. With its important roles in pathogenesis and organism development, circRNA exosomal delivery and circRNA sequestration of pathogenic miRNAs are ...
