My Top 10 Movie Characters Of All Time!!!
Hey Brother. I Am One Of God's Chosen Ones, And I LOVE Horror Movies. God Understands. Dario Argento's DEMONS Was A Really Scary Movie From 1985. Great Soundtrack Too.
Films to watch for Halloween: The Monster Squad, Terrifier 2, Terrifier 3, The Shed, Burnt Offerings, Wishmaster part 1, The Deep House, Vamp, Ghost Town, Malum, Halloween 4, Warlock, Southbound, Troll part 1, Sinister, V/H/S/Beyond, The Sixth Sense, Ghost Story, Ghoulies 2, Beetlejuice, Lore (2023), Abigail, Fear Street: Part One - 1994 from Netflix, Fear Street: Part Two - 1978, Fear Street: Part Three - 1666 from Netflix, Ghost Stories on Shudder, Sleepy Hollow, Trick R' Treat, Casper, Hocus Pocus, Under Wraps, Ghostbusters, Monster House, Night of the Demons part 1, Night of the Demons part 2, The Midnight Hour, The Forgotten One, ParaNorman, Tales from the Hood, The Frighteners, Silent Hill, Goosebumps, Creepshow, The Mist, The Gate, Lady in White, Killer Party, Fright Night part 1, The Night Flier, The Lost Boys, Demons part 1, The Changeling, Poltergeist, The Mortuary Collection, Corpse Bride, Stake Land, Hellboy from Guillermo del Toro, Blade part 1, The Woman in Black, Crimson Peak, The Devil's Backbone, The Conjuring part 1, Evil Dead, Cabin in the Woods, Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight, House part 1, Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, Dog Soldiers, My Demon Lover and Pumpkinhead!!!
I’m very happy that I was born in the 1980s decade because it was a great era for great movies with original soundtracks including A Nightmare On Elm Street, Escape From New York, Tango and Cash, (1987) Robocop, The Terminator, The Running Man, Die Hard, Cobra, the badass dark Batman remake that is (1989) Batman, An American Werewolf In London, Alligator, A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 The Dream Warriors, Bill And Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Above The Law, Rocky 4, etc.
@@jasoncase9481 I'm jealous! It's such an awesome decade!
@ It was an awesome decade for movies. Now Commando is similar to Rambo First Blood, except it’s a very ridiculous likely by design action movie including because John Matrix is like another Captain America based off ridiculous superhuman feats. That’s why I’ll say it’s great as a ridiculous movie not great the same way The Terminator is, along with Robocop, Rocky 3, Star Wars Return Of The Jedi, Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, An American Werewolf In London, Batman, etc are.
@@jasoncase9481 definitely!!
I think it's interesting that, as scary as it is, there are no actual deaths in "Poltergeist". Yes, the clown can burn in a fire. The real world loss of two of the actresses (Heather O'Rourke and Dominique Dunn) at young ages is tragic.
@@slimmccoy8863 yeah those deaths are so tragic!! It's sad. And yeah it's wild that there's no on screen deaths in it. And that's funny about the clown lol
All The People From That Film Had Problems After The Movie.
As a new Christian, I'll say The Exorcist is still brilliant film & the director simply put the moral of the story...God always wins 👍
@@darylsandlin5871 yeah Billy Hallowell talks about that in his book, Playing With Fire! Chapter 1, actually lol. But I definitely see that point. It's a fantastic movie with high quality film makers behind it. Cinematic masterpiece. But i hate the way it makes me feel! Hahahaha
Its interesting how each person can have a different spiritual vibe. I wish more can understand and respect that. I have no problem with the Evil Dead remake. To me it is a triumph of the human spirit over addiction. I have a problem with Halloween because I hate Michael Myers always have. He is simply a monster who kills people and in those movies the monster always wins. But though i hate Halloween i can respect those who love it. Its simply a matter of perspective. My favorites are 5 nightmare of elm street 3 4. Childs Play 2 3. Evil Dead remake 2. Trick or Treat 1. Lost Boys
@@williamseerden5731 wow that's a great perspective. Maybe I'll rewatch Evil Dead 2013!! And yeah I can see that. Great list! Trick or Treat is awesome
@CinemaSermons yeah. It's funny for Evil also wins in Trick or Treat, it's just more fun for me than Halloween. Don't get me wrong I totally get why people love Halloween. It's truly a very well made movie and creepy in it's own way. People's tastes are different
@@williamseerden5731 I get it!!! I'm definitely gonna revise Evil Dead 2013
@CinemaSermons cool. I forgot to mention but I would LOVE a final girl ranking. Would you include Sarah Connor? I have to agree with our buddy Cody Leach. She not only belongs but she's my favorite

What’s up Kevin! Halloween’78 is also my favorite horror movie. The music theme is so iconic and good. 1- Halloween ‘78 2- Nightmare on Elm Street ( I watched it a couple months ago for their 40th anniversary in theaters with my daughter and it was so good. We were probably 20 people in total in the theater but many of us clapped at the end.) 3- 7even ( it’s a thriller but man is it scary). 4- the Lost Boys (YEAH) 5- the conjuring (yeah, and I’m a Christian too, Praise Jesus) 6- It 2017 7- Scream 8- Texas chainsaw 2003 9- Doctor Sleep 10- the autopsy of Jane Doe I left so many out. I think the scariest movie I’ve ever watched is the exorcist. I watched it as a kid in the 90s and I won’t get near watching it ever again Good to hear from you Kevin. Btw I watched Smile 2 and I gave it an 8. Not as good as the first but not a bad sequel. God bless my brother!
@@carloshernandez-bm7hp what's up my brother!! Man what a great list! I love seven, and The Conjuring as well! And that's so cool that you and your daughter got to share that experience! That would be so cool. I saw Dr sleep in the theater and I love it. I actually prefer that over the shining, I know that's a hot take hahaha. But what an awesome list dude! Thank you for sharing Gary God bless you too my friend
@@CinemaSermons I like Dr Sleep better too. I’m trying to make time to watch the directors cut. My parents took me to watch Evil Dead 2 in theaters in ‘87. I don’t remember much but my says it wasn’t scary and I was calm, haha. Indeed it was a blessing spending time with my daughter watching Kruger. Horror is her favorite genre. I left out some worth mentioning. I agree with you on Werewolf in London, The Cabin in the Woods, it follows, 1BR, 28 days later, and the Descent. Blessings!
1. Halloween('78) 2. A Nightmare On Elm Street 3. The Nightmare Before Christmas 4. Psycho 5. The Conjuring 6. Coraline 7. Scream 8. Dracula 9. Frankenstein 10. The Wolf Man
@@JustinWilliams367 let's go!!! Great list! Coraline is the scariest movie on that list 🤣I love Psycho, and of course the classic universal monster movies. I Saw The Conjuring in theaters, that was a cool experience!
@@CinemaSermons You Haven't Seen Dario Argento's DEMONS Either? Check It Out.
If you you're a Christian this movie should be off limits an insult to the Christian God because it has a occult references and makes references to different gods
@@650038haig hey thank you for the comment! I can understand where you're coming from. If that's your conviction, then stand by it. I just think it's important to know that this is fake, it's not real we know the truth of the word of God and what it says I know this is simply a story for entertainment. Also, within the context of the story we see that the Christian God reigns supreme in Raiders of the Lost Ark and in the Last Crusade. He's clearly the strongest God who controls everything
Top 5 of 85 5. Clue 4. Cocoon 3. Witness 2. Goonies 1. BTTF
@@handsomestik Cacoon is great!
Hey Kevin! Wow! What a great year 1985 was for movies. 100% agree on number one. Weird Science was a cool thought for dweebs as myself 🤣 I used to love watching the tv show in the 90s. I can’t believe “Breakfast Club” is your number 5. Your other picks were pretty solid but I would’ve had The Goonies as 2. I’m so glad they haven’t made a remake of that movie because I cherish it as is. All the characters are so likable and the villains are dumb and funny to follow. And the kid with the gadgets and Feldman translating Spanish, makes me want to watch it again. “Chunk, chunk, chunk” my siblings, my 21 year old daughter and I love this movie. Blessings bro!

The humor was great. I also felt like the movie was gorier than the original which was awesome. My only flaw with the movie is that it was slightly stuffy with the plot lines but overall that didn’t ruin my experience. I definitely enjoyed it, but it was certainly overstuffed but I definitely liked it. Going to buy it when it comes out on Blu-ray
Hey Kevin an American Werewolf In London is a dark Horror movie that is what a faithful Rated R very dark adaptation of The Mask would be. The Mask is a very dark hardcore violent comic book similar to Sin City because Stanley Ipkiss after putting on the Mask is similar to a Werewolf because of being a supernatural creature that has no inhibitions and no conscious so it can easily murder without remorse similar to Mr.Hyde.
@@jasoncase9481 right on, very insightful take!! I like it a lot. Great explanation
@@CinemaSermons That’s why I would want for a faithful Rated R The Mask reboot movie to get made even though it’s going to be mean spirited, very messy violent, and very dark because essentially it is a Mr.Hyde style movie set in a very dark world much like Sin City.
@@jasoncase9481 that would be great!;
Kevin! Happy belated birthday bro. May the Lord bless you with many more healthy years ahead. I thought this sequel was funny. We got laughs so I am content with it. I really enjoyed all the cast. Great job casting all those actors. Keaton and Dafoe are two of my favorites. I do wish it would’ve been longer so it could’ve expanded more on Belluci’s character. My negatives were that the movie was all over the pace trying to explain too much in too little time. My rating is an 8 because I laughed a lot and Bullici is in it. 😂 On another note, when is your live chat video happening?

True story about the 7 Mercury Astronauts that included John Glenn and first 'free man' in space Alan Shephard. How can Scorcese's Raging Bull not be 1 or 2? Where's Brian DePalma in his prime: Dressed to Kill is a great slasher flick inspired by Hitchcock. Besides that I have seen the 1981 and 1982 videos by Cinema Sermon. It's all fun. It's all good.
@@BruceWalther-s2l yes sir, it's all fun!! Thanks for the comment and thank you for watching the videos!
First came here just to see how high 48 Hours would be on the 1982 list. Newcomer Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte as the veteran cop. James Remar as Ganz. Classic bad guy, 80's style. Then, a day late and a dollar short, I decided on giving a shout out out to Sharky's Machine which should have made the 1981 list; and, arguably, is the first great violent buddy cop movie with large doses of comedy. Burt Reynold's cool, macho, sensitive and funny. Charles Durning. Brian Keith. Bernie Casey all portray veteran cops. Great argumentative dialogue. But, Walter Hill's action footage in San Fran are superior works of action art, especially, by the time the back alleys of Chinatown are being prowled. Gotta love 48 Hours. If anyone is interested in a cult movie I'm mentioning Q The Winged Serpent, also, from 1982. It's B-movie budget shows in the giant bird monster living at the top of the Chrysler Bldg, occasionally plucking people from their high rise rooftop pools et cetera after being awakened by, well, a religious cult. Surprising amounts of humor revolves around the great performance by Michael Moriarty as the con-man trying to go legit ... but he's a career "never paid taxes" type of New Yorker. Movie has a true, somewhat bizarre NY soul complete with gore, comedy and David Carradine and Fred Williamson as the sparring cops trying to piece together the bizarre NYC deaths.
The Last Starfighter with its early cgi effects came out in 1984.
@@clayidavis860 such a good movie! That was directed by Nick castle, who also directed Major Payne and played the original Michael Myers in John Carpenter's Halloween
While Halloween 2 succeeds being very much a continuation of Halloween, also has impressive badass scenes including Michael Myers had no challenge walking while his body was burning, except most of the movie is a slog or boring much like watching paint dry.
Escape From New York is a Science Fiction post apocalyptic action movie with Snake having to rescue the US President while overcoming obstacles including foes in the unsafe Post Apocalyptic New York City. I’ve heard the very flimsy criticism that a faithful Double Dragon movie based on the original Double Dragon arcade game can’t be made because not not much of a plot with the Lee Brothers having to rescue Marian from Willy and his brigade. That same criticism could have been said about Escape From New York which also has a protagonist that has a rescue a captured character goal in Post Apocalyptic New York City. That’s why the whole criticism that a very faithful Rated R Double Dragon can’t be made because not much plot is inane because multiple movies have been made that have a protagonist or protagonists that have a rescue mission goal. Also Streets Of Fire was mostly a faithful Double Dragon movie.
The Indians Jones movie series as a kid had a great influence on me because I dressed up as Indiana Jones as a kid even it wasn’t complete because similar leather jacket, Black Cowboy hat, clip on Tie on a Bugle Boy SweatShirt , and a high quality whip.
@@jasoncase9481 right on! That's so cool! Yeah I wanted to be Indy as a kid, too. The raiders theme is still my ringtone till this day
Hey Kevin it seems likely that the movie protagonist Indiana Jones was inspired by the badass real archeologist and explorer Percy Fawcett. Percy Fawcett explored the Amazon Rainforest where he claimed he encountered a 62 foot anaconda. Also he, and others went searching for an ancient Lost City in the Amazon Rainforest which resulted in unsolved mystery because he disappeared.
@@jasoncase9481 no way!!! I'm gonna look him up! Thanks dude!
@@CinemaSermons A very cool adventure movie based on the non fiction got made that is The Lost City of Z.
Good ranking man, you might not agree with mine 😂 6. Scream 3 5. Scream 4 4. Scream 6 3. Scream 2 2. Scream 5 1. Scream
@@ZachAttack313 right on! I think it's good list! It's been a minute since I did this ranking, I don't dislike screen 5 as much as I did when I did this list. It's still probably my least favorite, but it's still a really solid movie. This whole franchise is awesome. Thanks for sharing!
That is a great 'down memory lane' list. I was at a baseball game today with HS friends and we started quoting "... you, Lee Harvey ... when you stole that cow ... and you and your friends tried to ... I wanna' party with you ... you and me...?" Did Murray ad-lib. a lot?😅 or what?! BUT, this does give me a chance to point out one of the most neglected, underrated, forgotten "Wolf" movies of all-time, let alone 1981: WOLFEN. It stars Albert Finney (who was very convincing as a NY cop despite being British). Great storyline: Could the deaths of random homeless people be connected to the murder of a wealthy socialite couple surrounding the Bronx? Another movie from 1981 seemed to be a hit on cable and co-starred Mel Gibson before he was famous. It was directed by Australian Peter Weir and is based on a true WW 1 story: GALLIPOLI. Admittedly, a downer, but a well done anti-war movie.
I would have included Top Secret on the list. One of the best comedies ever.
