@eclecticscribbles2 that's sweet thank you. I live in chicago- it's about 45 minutes away. I have a feeling this is going g to be bigger then I realize.. called nightmare chicago. I do more monsters horror characters and ghosts. Also sewn items, and clay sounds dark. But I'm not lol!

Honestly, it happens, and at the first bad convention I did, I bawled mine out too. Over the past couple of years my skin has thickened a bit and I can see the factors that are out of my control now. It's never you, 99% of the time, it is low attendance, the wrong audience, tight budgets. And, when people compliment your work but don't buy, the compliments are genuine but one of those other factors are usually the reason.

Yes, we shall definitely overcome. Hopefully as we bring attention to AI and TEMU resellers, cons will make sure not to allow them in, or at least that is the hope.

I know. This one has not been good either year really. I won't be going back for some time. I know Ichi is a good one, and I got waitlisted this year which sucks. Who knows, maybe someone wont show and I can sneak into a table... Are you are Ichi this year?

Thanks. Yea, I think everyone is really keeping the funds they have available. It's a rough time for "luxury" items and unfortunately, art is one of those.

OMG Saturday was the day that never ends... It was soooo long. I am so glad that you weren't in the red. That is great considering there were people with just an artist alley table who didn't make back expenses AND were local to Raleigh.

I unfortunately was one of the artists that had to leave. Impending snowstorm and I live up north. Plus I was getting pissed at Kurt's terrible management and communication.

that is a totally acceptable reason to leave, especially at a con that is underwhelming. I just meant in general, people like the ones behind me that were just gone for no reason.; the people that could have stayed and didn't. Do I understand the desire to bail, 100%! Do I still hate it for the attendees that did show up for us, also yes. Leaving to catch a flight, or leaving to beat bad weather, do what you need to do.

Next convention is the first weekend in March

@ well at least you have some time to work on the booth I think I heard during the vlog , my first con as a attendee this year is April I’m attending C2E2 at McCormick place in Chicago Illinois so excited for my 5th C2E2 it’s my favorite local convention
