What systems do you feel are most appropriate on a VGA 480p display that don’t require upscaling? I hear you would avoid 240p systems like SNES on these because they would look awful.
Only a handful of systems natively support vga. However gamecube, original Xbox and ps2 natively do 480p. I've heard that component adapted to vga can look quite good but I've never tried it. I only use dreamcast on this monitor.
I actually have two of these one is brand new in box never opened. Very good small tv with important inputs for a all of my classic “retro” gaming
A silver one was just for sale in my area for $25. It was a great deal but I didn't need it.
Ps2 is my favorite console
It's a fantastic console! What are some of your favorite games for the system?
in fact it looks soooo goood
So so good
PlayStation 2 and HDMI?
My ps2 is hooked up component running 480i
@GamingPlus10 CRT TV set gaming is really poor in 2025.
I disagree.
Dude, this is an awesome collection. I can tell that you love these games, and don't collect just for the sake of collecting. Love all the CRTs!
Thank you! It is a very fulfilling hobby for me.
you can't put 2 crt too close , due to magnetism , espace them about 30 cm
this brings back so much memories
A lot of nostalgia going on here! :)
WOW! Quake is a THROWBACK PC game! So glad the RUclips algorithm brought me here!
Quake is fantastic! I have it on pc, Sega Saturn and N64
@@GamingPlus10 I remember playing Quake 3 Arena! Now THAT was a game! ;)
Nah thats insane luck. Good for you!
It's a rare thing
방구경 시켜주셔서 감사합니다 🎉
Thank you for viewing!
nice
Thanks!
Do you have at least one CD by Tool? If the answer is "no", then there is a 11.37% chance that I will unsubscribe from you.
I have Opiate, Undertow, Aenima, and Lateralus.
Okay im getting a master system now. Sick collection!
The Master System means so much to me. It's such a fantastic console.
The algo recommended this too nice gaming collection my room tour on my channel too
Hey pal i see you have beautiful classic collection Awesome 😊 But Do you like to play moonwaker on sega md in 2024 Or Road Rash ll classic on Panasonic 3do or the need for speed 😂 Actually i love the classic games Well Wonderful vid and collection pal Like old school Huh 👐😊
Old school rocks🤘
My gf is going to hate me. I'm going to copy your set up🤣
She'll get used to it I'm sure.
Awesome game room man, I’m slowly building a collection of my own, my era was like near the of the SNES to PS1, those were my earlier consoles, got into PS2 in my early teens all the way up to now. Tough building a collection now with the market as pricy as it is, still fun to get games I haven’t had since I was kid and new ones I never played, especially since today’s consoles are hit and Miss when it comes to games, plus all the patches. There’s just some days, I want to put a disc or cartridge in and play. Great video man, you got a new sub from me, I’m looking forward to more.
If you get out and look there are still deals to be had. There's lots of competition so you've got to be quick. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Do you have any dirty movies for the VHS 😆
Haha maybe..
@@GamingPlus10That explains the tissues 😂😂
This is awesome! You've got a really nice collection, very comfy :D
Thanks!
haha, you talk like me. Oh man. Yeah, I liked it too, he has tv's and a couple of other things that i HAD GROWING UP... Wow, well that mad e3me like the video all the more. My browser is lagging, that's why there are so many typos, I'm not fixing it. It adds character. I wonder what the special numbers are for, 12 and 700, and 6. Um, well, it looks like a fun collection, I think the gravity of owning so many games which is common now days via digital download (you can't resell them, bummer?!), I think you are supposed to combat the gravity of not knowing what to play due to whatever you pick diminishing whatever else you own. Some people use a teeth grinding randomizer that they have no control over to tell them what game to play next, that can't be good for their health. I think we can improve the state of the gamers heart for those that collect an unplayable amount of games, by also writing reviews that only focus on what you like abvout it, so that the reviews aren't too long and they show off how little appreciation you have for things... Oh I wanted to recommend a genesis ost for you to listen to as I am listening to your favorite genesis ost -> ("Genesis: Thunder Force IV Soundtrack"), I'm a fan of some of the great 16 bit ost's. I would also like to have a gamers union so that we can get together and compile our findings and developments regarding what we liked about videogames. I know many of us expressed an interest in game design, or what is a game that they were so phenomonial to look at at the time they impressed us. I would like to detail a "spell" for what it takes to enjoy a video game you heard good things about without being bored or disinterested due to a bad mood or stomach problems. One thing that I noticed about gamers is that we like the social aspect of what other people like about videogames or a video game, but we don't like spoilers or people that achieved a high feat that is difficult and make us feel like there is no reward for preforming well in a video game due to other people cheapening it. I believe that we can talk about what we like about a video game that is personal to us, without spoiling story or bragging, like talking about the tile or texture art, or how you felt while you were playing it, which adds value and makes people want to esteem a video game or even play it, because someone else did and you liked everything they said about it. This didn't use to require so much to get into a video game. I think videogames are about how it makes you feel and what you focus on, what you enjoyed and how you enjoyed, and maybe what was going on at the time that affected your experience. Well, I would like to remedy the problem that game collectors experience, which is not playing a video game for more than a few minutes or seconds. I recognize that competoters to steam would like to have more users and customers, and I think how to do so is through the social aspect of gaming, seeing something a player tried and trying it yoruself, or booting up a game to check if something someone asked is possible, or changing your in game collection from an idea you got from a question someone asked. In the steam community this isn't done well because user posts are mostly bragging about what they achieved, and that deemfisizes ("deemphasizes"spellcheck) your desire to play the game at all. So, what this means is that what someone else likes, we would also like. It's the credit bestowed upon a game by someone you liked reading that adds value to a game. Also, how do you fix the collection game problem of not being able to play what you own? I think the answer is close, perhaps a conversation away
Hey, That’s my Ikegami! 😎 Super cool collection, lDC output looks magnificent
I love that monitor so much. It's one I'd never get rid of.
This is living 🤝
You can get 100 bucks outta that metal gear solid
Nice
Thanks!
awesome collection
Thank you!
Nice stuff
Thanks!
You have a wonderful collection. It is also great that you are documenting your collection and sharing it. I wish I would have kept my old systems, such as the microvision. I kept my colecovision and Odessy2 systems for many years until they stopped working. I find many of the retrogames as entertaining as modern games (which I also enjoy).
I definitely prefer the older games. I do like newer games too though. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hmm... Looks a bit unhealthy brother. Instead of buying more electronics, maybe get a nice set of furniture to showcase the best and most used bits?
Unhealthy?
Don't listen to this. Your game room is awesome
Pryce from Better Call Saul is that you?
I don't know.
god I wish I was older. I'm not even in the room & I can hear all the high pitched whines. amazing crts though, best gaming experience!
I feel like RUclips's compression brings the whine out even more. I can hear it in my videos sometimes but not in person.
The algorithm gods delivered me this sick game room video, and for that I am thankful to them
Thanks for watching!
I'm doing something similar but with Arcades.
Awesome to see some retro pc stuff in the game room! :)
Thanks, I've only recently started dipping my toes into the retro pc world.
Great Collection!!!
Thank you!
I have this tv.
Nice. What do you use it for?
@GamingPlus10 I mostly use it for my ps2
Fantastic! Do you use the component input?
@@GamingPlus10 Yes I use HD retro vision cables
Same
Hi, i m from india- i have a 1989- Onida-19 inch CRT colour tv, in working condition. Hope you are interested to add it to your collection at a rock bottom price. you can dm me.
No thanks. You should probably find a buyer that's local to you.
A very simple fix, you just need to install a modern AG film onto the glass, this will completely cover & hide the worn down AG treatment, and give you better contrast as a bonus.
Man I wish TVs still looked like this
Most of the late model crts were silver so it's nice to see one that's black.
uh, isn't it just discharging? The dell monitor I have seems to do the same thing when it loses signal or is turned off.
Maybe so but this is happening when turning the monitor on. It's charging rather than discharging.
Crt is the only way for gaming.
Crts are the best
Is this using the dreamcast vga box?
Indeed it is
How did you get one that cheap?
Pure luck
It need the greatest technician that ever lived 👍

I saw a good condition (' Sony Trinitron KV-9PT40 W/remote , it was $5 bucks, i went back the next day it was gone.
You have to get them while the getting is good.
I see several comments about changing the speaker, clean too muddy, etc. No. No. iThe original was good enough for Clapton, Joe Walsh, etc. Here’s a tip: DIME the amp and use your guitar volume to dial in the desired tone/volume. This little piggy will sing. Enjoy. :0)
Very true. I've never replaced the speaker in any of mine.
I always just used water only. Sprayed it into a microfiber, buff the screen gently and use dry part to remove any streaks. Never had an issue
That's a good method.
wow, forgot how much illusion of depth there was with crt. was kinda good for gaming in retrospect
CRTs are fantastic for gaming.
wait people think putting amonia on pc screens of any kind was a good idea????
Some just don't know any better. Glass is glass right?
Back in 2016 when I got my Sony GDM-FW900 it still had its anti glare film, but it had a few impacts here and there. Sadly when cleaning carefully even with water, I seem to remember it started to deteriorate a bit like yours here. So I decided to remove the film shortly after (I regret that a bit, but it's okay). Good thing is of course much more brightness, so I can run the monitor a bit lower, and preserve the tube, but of course it's not really enjoyable anymore with any moderate to bright light in the room. With the windows closed it's perfect though. Now I can clean it with anything though lol, so there is that. The LaCie Electron Blue models are also notorious for that issue, so one has to be very careful trying to clean them. Some models like the Sony GDM-F520 use a coated glass instead, but I'm also very very careful with that, I'm not sure how it compares, but if it gets scratched it's not as easy to remove for sure as a film.
Sounds like you've got some quality monitors!
All you need is a decent modern 3M AG film replacement, will give your FW900 a night & day contrast upgrade.
im sure you could polish the remaining film off or find some way to remove it so it doesn't have such a bad look anymore.
It can be removed. Most monitors you can just take the bezel off but this one requires complete disassembly to remove it.
@@GamingPlus10 Do you know a good method to remove the filter from a Panasonic plasma?
Sorry but I don't have any experience with plasma tvs.
