I personally love my Rainbow High Catrina. I enjoy putting her out every year to celebrate DOD when I set up the annual 'Altar' with our dearly departed recuerdos. She is one of a kind. I was hoping they would put out another RH Catrina.

I think the reason why they made the skull mask a mask is to give us access to show her real face. Though I, a non-Hispanic, shouldn’t be talking. Love the design though.

I love that you hid away Deuce's eyes from a character perspective. He's supposed to be misunderstood and mysterious. Wearing shades and completely covering the eyes is a great way to do that. Also, completely agree with Draculaura. Which made me sad when I saw her new design (canon, not yours, yours is fabulous). She had some of my favorite looks in G1 and G2. So seeing her watered down just felt wrong.

Being an artist right now is so stressful.

Great video! I myself felt my art was in a bit of a rut for a while, and I agree that it's very important to experiment. For me 2023 was honestly just recovery from 2022. 😅

Okay, I'm gonna say it, I love the reboot You can fight me on this, I love it. The show and movie? No. The dolls? Hell. Yes. I currently have Cleo, Frankie, and Draculaura. They're all amazing (Draculaura is my favorite). The clothes, the hair, the accessories, I love it all. The only reason I don't say this about the movie or the cartoon is because I've only seen one of the movies. And... I liked it. Basic as it was, I liked it. And Draculaura's doll is personally my favorite, just because of how much I love the blacks and pinks and the way they actually style her outfit. I like it And I will defend this reboot with my life. Except for what they did to Cleo and Deuce

Everytime i see content about gen3 i remember thht they replaced my favorite characters with a villian who doesnt have any of their original personality and will probably never show up after the movie because they gave their most interesting concept of being half human and needing to deal with that to fucking clawdeen and i sit there in silence as a single tear rolls from my eye If jackson and holt ever show up in the reboot and no one tells me ill be so mad

Ngl, I was really upset when they made frankie blue and not green. But learned it was because of the Frankenstein copyright. I understand it now.

I think they changed Lagoona’s skin tone because they wanted her to look more tropical since she is from the ocean after all. Idk why they went with pink specifically. I would have given her stripes to convey that. I think the gradient from pink to blue on her fins is really pretty though

As an Puerto Rican thank you for mentioning that fact that in our culture we need to hope for more representation because besides miles morales there’s not much and I hate when we do have representation the stereotypes the we say wepa every 5 minutes sucks

Seeing a feminine presentingnon-binary person is so comforting, I use they/them pronouns and use he/him pronouns occasionally and it’s so refreshing seeing a feminine presenting non-binary person being respected. :]

As someone who also grew up with MLP and likes the newest reboot of Strawberry Shortcake, thank you for acknowledging that reboots will evolve everyone. A good reboot is comfortable with developing designs. That's cool.

I know this is like super late but anyone who is a G1 fan will feel the pain of Deuce x Clawdeen…. And Clawdeen isn’t like bad**s anymore

I have this version of Frankie being composed by a modern Dr. Pretorius and Igor. The they/them is from the brain being composed of different girls, meaning she's combined out of different parts both physically and mentally. From Bride of Frankenstein, Pretorius had the accomplishment of small humans. So her brain would bw composed of shunken versions of the brains sewn together.

Frankie everything was good and alright except the Prosthetic leg, I wish it was drawn back to normal leg or else it would look so out of place and it would feel like I’m looking at zombie instead. As for Draculaura body proportions are off and clothing made her look fat short. I like the rest though lagoona reminds me of a Unicorn.

I love your Deuce design. I remember my jaw dropping when first seeing the life action movie version of him. They did him so dirty.

I HATE the G3 Monster High and I'm not going to sugarcoat it. I hate how they made Cleo a stereotypical mean girl with zero nuance and basically took a healthy relationship between Deuce and Cleo away from us. They weren't perfect but it's ICONIC to say the least. It was a good representation for people watching the show at a young age. Honestly, this and swapping out personality traits for a lot of them and how they MASSACRED Lagoona and Ghoulia and Clawdeen and Cleo and Deuce.....🙄

Take all the time you need! Loss of family members is a really hard thing to go through, and you don't have to push yourself too hard! We'll still be here, you don't own us anything :]

This is great! I like how she matches her sisters and mom more now. And the lack of sleeves gives her more freedom and comfort. And these boots would be more functional for when she gardens. Bravo!
