Tools: 3/8 Ratchet, 10" Extention(3/8), 10mm socket, Phillips screwdriver.
Optional: Gloves, Wire Connectors, Trim Removal Tools

My key has the dot in it. Will the blank key also have a dot or it does not matter?
So where do you get the key to program? Can you get a key that already has the things inside to be programmed. What if it's the second key they gave you but doesn't have a dot on it. This doesn't make it clear about all these things.

you can't copy a valet key. It has to be the master.

Its gonna come off once you go to shift to second or 4th bro. I glued mine on with some quick setting epoxy. I cleaned the insside of the knob with a wire brush that I use for copper pipe and cleaned the shaft.

If it doesnt work for your particular model, there are other YT videos of other methods that may work instead. Have a search.
Tried this on a Sequoia and it didn't do anything but make me feel silly! Since this only works for older cars you should say which ones work.
On my '18 Colorado, it appears I need to hacksaw through the knob and pry off in sections. Amazon, eBay, etc all sell knobs stating 'compatible with 2018 chevy colorado', and they all come with threaded adapters. In what universe? Unless someone has any info on removing my 6 speed knob (?) Thanks!
