No H8 - Glee - Burt Yells at Finn Defends Kurt
Просмотров 235 тыс.13 лет назад
It is my hope and prayer that every parent, every sibling, every friend of a gay or lesbian, son, daughter, brother, sister, boy, girl, human being, defends their right to live without judgement or ridicule of who they are, or who they love. Amen This clip is taken from Glee, 1st Season, Episode 20 - Theatricality.
Not under my roof. He owned that hateful phrase used against us for so long, and turn the tables 💕
I can't take the confusion anymore. Burt insists Finn meant the word as a hateful bigot here (not even knowing about Kurt's overwhelming infatuation), but in Quarterback, he says "I knew what he meant when he was calling it f*ggy." Just confirm or deny and keep it *simple:* Burt did or did NOT know what Finn truly meant in this scene? Also, why is it so wrong to use the word retarded? Just don't use it about Down Syndrome folks and you'll be fine. I don't even see why the word links to them at all. That'd be like linking...people who like apples to the word "psychotic." That would be *_so_* random and strange. Same case for "Retarded" and DS folks. Can we apply "retarded" to politicians, like Joe Biden? That's not offensive to DS folks is it? And besides, it *_is_* true that politicians are retarded, so that should be an acceptable thing to say, having no reference to DS folks. I'd take one of them as president over Biden any day.
Finn was being very hurtful. He had it coming.
I love how he waits for kurts touch... So Deep 🙈😍
I liked Mike OMalloy since he was the host of GUTS
He is such an awesome, Dad! I hope there a many more Dad's like this in the future!
I feel like Burt is one of the most understated characters on the show because even though he may not be as interesting or campy as some other characters, he was always willing to learn and grow and help Kurt. At the beginning I wasn’t sure if he would be accepting of Kurt’s sexuality, but by the end of the series I knew that he would defend his son no matter what and that he would always supported him, which makes him such a great character.
This is such a bad way to treat your stepson
Burt: You Call People Retard Finn: No I Don’t Cut The Bullshit Finn That What Call Sue Baby😒 SMH
Kurt realized that his dad loves him for him and proud of him finn realizes you can't treat people that way without hurting it opened his eyes
I feels bad for kurt
Every time I see this I remember some ppl I knew in high school and college. Product of the times where “that’s so gay” was a big phrase everyone would say. In high school I’d push my friends when they’d say it, since everyone’s heads were too thick to process words. I’d give them a shove and go “don’t say that”; then you’d get the typical “why does it bother you? Are YOU gay?” And I’d say no and arguments ensue because at the time I didn’t have the right words but I kept at it. But, it would stick and they wouldn’t say it In college, I had some friends who would say that’s gay and again I’d say it but more sternly “dont say that”. I am a big guy with patience but I don’t stand for that kinda crap Similar to Kurts dad
Bruh get u a Dad/Parent like that
I feel bad for kurt and finn
Finn actually call a down syndrome person retarded, but years later
And Kurt STILL defended Finn. What a soul...
One of the most amazing scenes I’ve ever watched.

Burt upstairs hears Finn talking: Hol up 😳🖐
I never watch the show but is interested in seeing it. after seeing a few clips of the show and after seeing this makes me wish I had a dad like that. this part gave me chills.
I'm weeping.
Kurt dad is the best parent in the show . He cares alot about Kurt and defened him when he needed to BEST DAD EVER .
burt deserves the world
Bro.. You got "Burt" on your shirt.. Come on now. Still a good scene though.
Why am I watching videos of Burt Hummel being a good dad at 4 am and crying
I'm sorry, I don't fault finn at all. he snapped. Kurt was acting like a sexual predator.
Burt is so cuteeee!!
I love the bond between Burt and Kurt Burt would do anything for his son every parent should be like that
That whistle says it all!!
I was just up in St. Mary's KS a few weeks ago! I hope to return there!
Always remember my sister when I watch this scene . My sister was born my brother. Guess I always expected him to come out of the closet just not wearing my clothes but you know what she's my sister and all I want is her happiness. Anyone who is cruel to her has to deal with me. Not so easy, I'm a hair puller
I wAs TalKinG To tHe BlAnkEt
Kurts dad is the best character in the show. Period.
Mike O'Malley did such an amazing job with this role. Just so, so good.
Approximately one in ten children are born gay. We do not take our parent's love as certain. We sit across from them at the dinner table and hear intolerant language because they assume their children are heterosexual. This scene features a parent who admits to using offensive language when he was younger and admits it took time for him to realize that being hateful is wrong and potentially leads to tragic outcomes. Kurt's father is the parent many of dream about while living with nightmares.
The acting is superior and deserves Oscar's. Even though Kurt may not realize it the word affected him. The first time Finn said it his head shot up and you could literally see it hurt him and then he cast his eyes downward. Burt was right. It hurt him more than he realized.
"Place looks great." XD hahahahaha
God i love Burt 💖
Just any notice that fact that kurt has a crash on finn did he mention to mercedes when their doing the car wash that he has crash on him wondering why finn feel comfortable sharing a room kurt he got very excellent about it when he find out sharing a room with him
I know you only mentioned gay or lesbian but us bisexuals and trans feel this too. I don't hate Finn. I get the context for which he was talking about. Just like Burt said, that's how we used it when we were kids but it still doesn't make it ok.
This is quite painful to watch as it’s quite similar to how my brother treated me until my late mother stepped in.
What sticks with me the most from this scene is that Finn called Becky his friend... Does Becky even know who Finn is? :D
I LOVE your prayer!!!!!!!!!!!!
