I Don't Like the Caves and Cliffs Updates.
Minecraft Caves and Cliffs parts 1 and 2 are some of the most impactful updates ever added to this game. These two updates completely overhauled the world generation to allow for massive caves, mountains, and other terrain features to be scattered all throughout the world. Many people absolutely love the changes to the world generation and believe they were well needed to keep the game feeling fresh. In my opinion however, the new world generation is way too much, the items these two updates added are unimpressive, and overall I think Caves and Cliffs made Minecraft a worse game. Hope you all enjoy.

Can You Beat Terraria with ONLY Chest Loot?

PART 1: ruclips.net/video/DWA87Jx_9Mw/видео.html Terraria's progression is one of the most essential parts of the game. Beating different bosses unlocks different areas and items, which makes you stronger. In this run however, all of that can essentially be forgotten. Almost every item I use in this video is obtained from a chest, and because most of the chests in this game are found in early p...

Terraria, But I Can DUNK

One of the most essential parts of Terraria is the players movement. Playing this game without double jumps, wings, or Hermes boots can be incredibly difficult due to just how valuable these items are in basically any scenario. In this video, I replace Terraria's gold standard for movement with an awkward super jump that pretty much sucks at everything. As an additional challenge, I'm not using...

All Bosses (Terraria Montage)
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.Год назад
Typically, Terraria bosses are beaten one at a time throughout a normal run. Of the few times people do fight multiple bosses at once, it is usually with post Moon Lord gear that makes it pretty much impossible to lose. In this run, I wanted to see if it was possible to beat (almost) every boss in both prehardmode and hardmode with gear that can be obtained prior to defeating the Wall of Flesh ...
Beating Terraria ENTIRELY as a Wolf | Part 2 | Endgame

The Lilith's Necklace is an item that was added in the 1.4.4 update, and it immediately stands out as being the only "transformation" item in the game. While it is quite powerful, I figured it would be a fun mix up to how the game is typically played, and for an additional challenge I decided to play without armor for the entire run. Thank you all for watching. These videos truly have taken me ...

Everything to Know About RAIN in Terraria!

Yup, this is everything you need to know about rain in Terraria. Honestly, while researching for this video I was very surprised by how much less the rain event offers than what I initially thought. Either way, it’s a great event. Hope you guys all enjoyed the video and maybe even learned something new. I had a lot of fun making this video and I got more on the way. How to DEFEAT Skeletron PRE EVIL BOSS in Terraria 1.4.4 MASTER MODE
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.Год назад
Skeletron has always been one of my favorite bosses, but he just isn't hard enough with post evil-boss weapons. I love the challenge of facing him with weapons and armor you can get before you even fight a boss. Beating him this early on allows you to fly though prehardmode and beat the Wall of Flesh in under 4 hours. I know a lot of people find prehardmode super boring, and although I'm not on...
Disk 5 is a rip off, yes, but the LOOORE
I love Minecraft because when I start a new world, it’s extremely fun to me to collect everything. Sure I kind of wish there were more difficult activities like the wither and end dragon, and I have been enjoying Minecraft adding new weapons. I’ve just always loved the idea of rare items. Like the enchanted apple. Which can be found in so many places, but is also so rare. Blue axolotl? Love it! Would love a weapon like this too! Maybe a super rare grimoire? I’ve always thought that enchanting was an awesome mechanic, and I think they could absolutely make it better too. Like we have curses in the game, why not blessings? Idk just a thought. I love this game tho
man cooked and it IS BURNT LMAO
1:06: 1.9 Looking from a PVP perspective, sure combat in 1.9 was a "downgrade" (if only as PvP existed in the same form for 10 years to that point). However, Minecraft is not a PVP game, it is a PVE and predominantly single player game. Minecraft combat was simple because combat was never the focus of the game. While combat is still not the focus of the game, as it got more important, they had to make it adaptable to the PVE environment. Spam clicking was too OP for PVE imo. 1:17-1:18: These updates made diamonds less valuable, yes. However, this is a process that has been going on for a while.
I don't know why I thought killing turtles would give me scutes. I never ever heard about growing them for it until now. I killed so many turtles for nothing, I thought I was rare item and just got unlucky-.
i have NOT beat the game yet so horses/minecarts save my day
"I don't like this change because previously it was iconic"
I can't believe I didn't know that about llamas!
Clock??
You can find silver bullets in chests
What about achievements?
What shaders?
Llamas are useless
I love the music it is nice to listen to when chilling or just in your base
dude is yapping cause some things have a cost to it, well shi son play in creative then
Everything after beta 1.7.3 is useless
I just wish we got more late game content, something to actually use the elytra for instead of just traveling fast. More bosses, different enemies, not just reskins or annoying garbage, especially mid game while making the Ender Dragon more dangerous, that thing just does no damage. Instead, we get peaceful after peaceful mob, can we get something already?
Going to the end in Minecraft is like finishing the last page of a great book, I should do it, but I don't want it to be over and even though I know I can just read the middle parts again and notice new thins, the idea of actually being done with the book is too scary
Creepers have such weird fun niche mechanics, im always wondering what the first people to discover them must have thought. Like, why can we get discs by killing a mob with another mob? Why does striking that same mob with lightning cause other mobs to drop their heads when he blows up? And the fact the creeper was originally a mistake while trying to assemble a pig, is the cherry on top.
"it is *the* most useless item in"-- wait what about rotten potatoe and tropical fish (the item not for decoration purely the food item)
Its still just chillin for me
The worst bug on minecarts is the camera doesn't follow the minecart.
Llama?
What shaders are you using? They look amazing
I feel like people are obsessing too much abt stuff actually being "useful" And that's kinda sad like, I love Minecraft because it's just a chill sandbox game, Yes, I wanna collect the 2 sniffer flowers, Yes I wanna spend gazzilion years of my life trying to get the blue axolotl(biggest accomplishment of my life btw), Yes, I wanna collect every wolf variant that exists, Yes, I wanna collect every goat horn, Yes I wanna collect resin, yes I wanna explore a trail ruins and leave with 20 blue glass panes. All these, aren't useful activities and they're not meant to be. they are just chill and fun little side quests that the game has to offer you, always keeping you busy by giving you more and more goals and mechanics to have and try out. Without the "useless" stuff in the game, what's the point of playing if you even get the elytra? People seem to expect every Minecraft update to add something life changing like a new weapon that can one shot the Warden!! Or a new ore that's better than Netherite!!!!!! Or I don't even know what else they want. And that's really upsetting cause that is not the point of Minecraft.
I strongly agree, this is a very well-written comment
I dont like using "elytra is better than X" argument, elytra takes time to get and other neand of transport are simply stepping dtones to it, its like saying leather-diamond armor is useless since netherite is better
My friend group banned the elytra and also turned on keep inv because we were genuinely sick of getting bored of the game so fast. Most fun playthrough by far
Ok. A question: who doesn't allow you to use a minion for a bit of additional dmg when it will almost always be a dps race against a boss in this playthrough?
Idk just ain't feel like it
I’m currently making a rollercoaster world that i’ve been working on -on and off- since Update Aquatic. I plan to eventually put it up for download, and even invite friends to make their own stuff. Lately, i’ve been renovating villages and creating roads to them. The terrains is jank, but i’m forcing it to work
Rollercoaster are lit.
@ Yes they are. I think i have, like, 30 rollercoasters built, and i plan on building even more. I originally was going to only utilize the Nether for transportation between areas, and then 1.16 came out. When 1.18 came out, i activated a ruined Nether portal that was near one of my rides and, if i’m honest, the area i came to was PERFECT! I ended up on an island in the middle of a giant lake right by the ocean, and lots of cavers in the surrounding landmass Idk if they’ve fixed this parity yet, but on Bedrock, you can put rails underwater. So, there’s a rollercoaster that’s entirely on the lakebed. I’ve made it a goal to have at least one ride in every biome, and the generation i got for my cherrywood coaster and pale oak coaster could not have been better.
i watched a few videos and for how much u like "useless features" and the freedom of minecraft, u hate everything that expands on those 2 things
Nah I just think Caves and cliffs was cheeks no cap. Game hasn't been as fun for me since
1:31 it doesn't have to do anything. Making the world feel more... lived in is more fun. To that end, add some robins or crows or something. The skies are a little empty and the parrots are a little lonely
Horse is useless now becuse of elytra? That's like saying that CHESTS are useless becuse of Shulker boxes. The whole idea of "useless features" is honestly stupid
bro why are you screaming 😭
My argument against calling anything OP such as the elytra- just dont use it. It's a sandbox game with endless possibilities, if you dont like an item because its OP, nobody is making you use it. You're free to ride around your world on a horse if you want
Big fax, I love horses and don't use elytras. This video was kinda just an excuse to talk about mechanics I think are cool lol
you arent very convincing
Piercing enchantment on crossbows can disable shields, extremely useful in PvP
With the sniffer too, they had promised multiple plants, more than two. They always showed the potential of 8 new plants. Also love you didn't even talk about the furnace cart.
I swear I thought the sniffer flowers would be used to craft more potions but nope….just decoration.
I really only consider a feature useless if it either completely fails at it's intended purpose or is entirely overshadowed by something similar.
I would say that the crossbow perfectly rivals the bow... In PVP. I always liked more the playstyle of the crossbow, and fought against friends with maxed bows. Power V may hit like a freight train, but with the crossbow you can pepper them from the distance and annoy the hell out of them. The screen shake screws your aim so much, and you can quick swap the crossbow with the shield, hell, no one keeps you from ramming 5 loaded crossbows in your hotbar and make the enemy's camera feel like he's in a cement mixer. You can even shoot rockets at them for shits and giggles, but I have never used this effectively. People sleep on the crossbow, man.
to sum up the video: guy doesn’t like new update that is generally agreed upon to provides better gameplay features because of his nostalgia, then provides no further explanation of why the features are a “complete downgrade” and only says he doesn’t like them because they change the pre-established gameplay (even if the changes are objectively better because they further gameplay mechanics and gameplay investment as well as catering to larger audiences and providing more immersion for new and returning players). Don’t get me wrong, having caves and cliffs features split across ~4 updates was annoying, but the actual features that were provided were nonetheless worth the wait in the end (also we do need to remember that we had a pandemic during this time, lots of complainers conveniently forget that and don’t realise it was many times more difficult for them to update the game during that time). If you hate new cave gen, then sure, do that, but don’t tell me you weren’t probably the same guy who had been asking for a cave update for years before and complaining about old cave gen sucking and strip mining being too grindy. you can’t have both and if you really hate big caves, then you can literally just ignore them, he makes them out to be way more common than they actually are and there are lots of smaller caves too.
Nah Caves and cliffs still sux
@isloths why though? Not to sound rude but most of your reasoning sounds like nostalgia. If you hate new ore distribution then sure but it’s not like it’s impossible to find the smaller caves too, they intentionally left in “spaghetti caves” for that reason. Copper is useless gameplay wise and your allowed to dislike the texture (though again I’m just saying you can’t say it’s “objectively bad” since it is entirely subjective) but also we have lapis and that’s been nearly useless aside from one use for its entire existence. They could have done more, definitely, but it’s not like they did a bad job adding more stuff and they were, you know, stuck in their houses since it was Covid so it’s actually pretty good given that. Idk man it’s fine to not like the update but you’ve been very negative through the whole video and even now you commented that the update sucks. You can’t use “it’s just my opinion” if you’re going to say something is “objectively bad”, it just doesn’t make sense. the original point of my comment was just to show what the update did that most people liked and show that you weren’t really being fair to those people or the positives of the update. you were just being seemingly argumentative against people that didn’t agree with your point of view, which again it’s fine to argue about what is and isn’t good for a game but there’s a difference between arguing with people to understand their point and justify yours and arguing with someone to tell them that their wrong and their opinion is “objectively bad”.
The cross bow is nice because you can load a bunch of arrows and use them in case of emergency
Old Minecraft was all about the side quests
what is this shader your using i love it
Man that was a great video, thank you isloths
Anytime
Crossbow is a lot more of a pvp item honestly. Piercing lets it pierce shields (although any level above 1 is still worthless for the reasons you mentioned and the ability to prevent enemies from picking up your arrows), but the real gem is harming arrows. There's a weirdo hidden mechanic where the damage from harming arrows only gets added if the damage from the arrow would be lower than the damage from the harming. The amount of extra damage added will only go up to the point of the maximum damage value of the harming effect. So if you were to shoot a full charge power bow at an unarmored player with, say a harming 2 arrow, you would not get any extra damage at all. But shoot harming 2 with a crossbow at full netherite, now you deal 1 damage, which receives a bonus of 5 damage for 6 damage total. Now shoot the full netherite player with a harming 2 bow, you might deal 2 damage, but the bonus damage from the harming is only 4, for 6 damage total still. With quick charge 3, this returns a DPS win for the crossbow. TL;DR crossbow is meant to be an endgame pvp anti-armor specialist
What shaders are those?
I think llamas could take a leaf out of foxes’ books and have a similar trust feature, where breeding two wild llamas would result in a trusting one (this would go in place of breeding them). Trusting llamas could spit at enemies, have a higher chance to produce 4-5 strength offspring and could be saddled.
I can’t begin to understand how you came to think like this. Every single reason you gave for hating something is the exact reason why I like it. You keep saying that new terrain and features get old fast, but what really gets old fast is the old terrain and caves that had no variation whatsoever. I respect you for sharing your opinion, but please just don’t play modern Minecraft if you hate it so much.
Although this video is months old I was wondering if you could destroyer cheese with dynamite considering you can pick up dynamite from chests and that hardmode ores can be collected through fishing. With minimal armor I am not sure if the probes would kill you especially when the only way to hit them is with the flamelash. It would solve the time problem however and could make the fight easier depending on the probes. You don't seem like the sort of person to min max fights unfortunately as you did everything legit and didn't combine accessories found in chests which I expected you to do.
