FIRST IMPRESSION 2024 MT-07 (It's overhyped?)
I just purchased a brand new 2024 Yamaha MT-07. Am I feeling some regrets? Maybe. Hear my very first impressions about the bike, my riding skills, and how it stacks up to the CB500F I traded in to purchase.

Texas is full of interesting roadside attractions, but this one is not as well-known. The Aurora, Texas cemetery is known for having an other-wordly resident interred. A unique motorcycle stop that is not too far off the beaten path.

Vlog 5: Oops I did it again... A NEW BIKE!
Leav that bike and go back to your honda and never again do any rewiev because I can see you not compenten to say nothing about any bike. And your voice is very anoing....just give up.
You reported that the bars were buzzy. Was there any buzz in the seat or feet? Thanks
Hi there. Seat was not noticeably buzzy.
Another Texas rider here (Houston area) - not a Tiger rider yet, but I’ve been looking intently at the ‘24 900 GT Pro for some time now. One test ride, about a month ago, and I could feel the heat, but it was difficult to determine (on a short ride) how much of an issue it would be? On the other side of that concern, the weather being what it used to here, I generally don’t do a lot of riding between early June and mid-October.
"fortunately I have a short commute"... HEY Triumph that should tell you something. You need to fix this. I am 6'2" and it cooks my left knee as well. I prototyped some foam deflectors and they work some. But I do not feel compelled to fix a factory design issue. I am looking to sell.
My favorite bike!
Pretty sure the newer one-piece moto exhausts are for Euro5 compliance so that it is not as affordable for end users to defeat the silencers and make too much noise.
I’m a Houstonian, so I feel your pain! 😂 I’m coming off an Indian Roadmaster to a new 2024 Triumph Tiger Rally Pro, so I don’t find the heat too bad in comparison, especially underway. But I do feel it, especially on the left side. I’m going to give these a go! 😃 I really love that they are easily removable, because I expect I’m going to want that heat come winter time. (As an aside, I’d guess that’s why Triumph isn’t concerned about it. For those crazy Brits, anything over 75 degrees is a heatwave. We need to invite them to Texas in August! 😉) Thank you for the solid review! 😃
Wow..that is the most negative review of the M-07 I've seen but in a good way as you're being honest. I feel sorry for your husband. 😂
I don’t feel that I was unfair or overly negative towards the bike, just realistic observations. As for my husband, I don’t review him like I do bikes, but he would pass with flying colors. 😉
@@mototigress I appreciate honest reviews and you fit that quite nicely, especially since you have two other bikes to compare with.. as for your husband..well you got the jist of my joke as intended.. ☺️👍
I appreciate the info about RideNow. Unnecessary dealership fees are ridiculous!
Honda doesn't release the good stuff in the US. I don't understand why. I love my 500 but definitely want something larger. Thanks for posting this.
Do you not have a cb 750 hornet in the US?
No, we do not. Which is insane!
@@mototigress that is a shame, i love this bike
I used to have one, I regret it more than you so I sold it in less than a month
Oof… what was the biggest issue you had with the bike?
@@mototigress it doesn't accelerate to a degree that cars were waiting to pass them so they can get behind me and continue to accelerate but I struggle to do it, everybody was annoyed how slow I was, also, the fuel range was bad so I stop at the gas station often.
@@undecodable6145 How is an MT-07 slow? Were you downshifting?
🎉HEADGEAR COMPLETE RIDING SOLUTION HIMAYATNAGAR HYDERABAD TELANGANA INDIA 🎉
Triumph needs to do what BMW did decades ago. Treat heat management seriously. I own a BMW R1250RT and have ridden the S1000RR, S1000XR, K1600B, R18 and have never felt much of any heat from any of these bikes. Nothing really. Back in 1983/84 when BMW came out with the K100 series, they didn't even consider heat management for rider comfort. And it showed. Those early K bikes were infamous for cooking their riders and causing vapor lock because the gas tank got so hot.
I would be curious to see their data on bike distribution and what environments the majority of their bikes are being operated in. If they want to stick to selling their bikes in the northern latitudes I suppose they can leave it as is, but if BMW can do it... so too can Triumph.
Great work with the work around with that problem i had noticed they installed them on the 1200 rally pro 2024 as standard ask a friend thats got the older one and he said that it gets hot so will defo let him know theres somthing for it
Euro 5 engines are very hot. I built a deflector for a Tiger sport 66O.
Ordered a set today; I hope they do the trick. P.S., I'm in Fort Worth too.
I'm a believer in the fact that adv bikes *should* be dirty, due to their very nature :) I have one of the newer 1200s, rather than the 900. I used to own the 900 rally pro, but traded up to the 1200 rp. I can definitely say that the 1200's radiator heat management is *MUCH* better than the 900's. (*ESPECIALLY* in Texas heat. I'm in Austin, for the record).
Looking at the 1200 is certainly looks like they took it into account in the fairing design. So frustrating that they ignored the issue on the 900. Unfortunately, the 1200 is just totally overkill for my purposes, but it is a lovely motorcycle.
@@mototigress I love mine. I have it mainly for long-haul touring that includes some off-pavement. Suits my needs perfectly :)
I’ve had them installed on my 900 for a couple months now and logged 3500 miles with them. Great addition to my Tiger!

Have a 24 on order I hope they have improved the heat issue with the factory Supplied vents
# Very useful, sensible and helpful review. , I'm a beginner motorcyclist end am small 166cm. drive daily to work in the city and also the highway( Commuting) and sometimes during a weekend round of recreational is a good bike for commuting honestly? daily use (comfortable) and weekend touring, of perhaps recreation purpose? you know about maintenance/ repair? expensive? it is wise to jump from naked bike to this touring/Adventure for daily use. Any way great video Be safe

hi ..tq for the video..i fee u.. i just took my bike 2 weeks now.. im in malaysia where my weather are tropical thu out the year.. its a high dissapointment for me as i didnt do the test ride hence was not aware and only discover on my 1st day ride back home from show room, heat flowing to my knees and adjusting your leg will and u can feel the heat hitting your face!... purchased the deflector and fix , no avail!!.. any new improvement that you did to solve this issue? the bike is for my daily commute and weekly ride.. and now i'm just too sad of not enjoying ride!...
Thank you! Just bought one.
I had to sell my 800 due to the heat, it was terrible and I'm in San Francisco where it barely ever gets hot! My dealership is trying to convince me its drastically improved on the 900...
i would worry about the dark colors u r wearing. very hard for drivers to see u.
I chose Arai
So what bike wouldn't be hot at 100 degrees?
I regularly ride my CB500F in the heat of the summer and I don't feel a single bit of heat-- ever.
@@mototigressSo what do you think about those air factors i sent you? Still thinking about selling the bike. Let me know. Johnny
Hope you're doing well, bit worrisome when a moto vlogger abruptly stops posting content 😟
The plus great looking helmet thats where it ends , I have found that the rubber seal around bottom of helmet needed re gluing ! Also I didnt think was noisy but are my intercom speakers sheilding my ears maybe? But the most annoying is if you dont have a long neck the helmet constantly caught on my Jkt when i turned my head! The field of view is brilliant but not a patch on my Shark Spartan gt Carbon.
Arai any day of the week.
I still give this video props for speaking the truth and not just taking money to shill a garbage product.
I don't get how these companies can't figure out a way to manage heat. My Tiger 800 was uncomfortable in summer, bad enough that I sold it. I've only felt bad heat on 2 bikes amongst many that I have owned, the Tiger 800 and my current R1200GS. That things roasts me in anything 60 and above. Love the bike but its probably going.
Looking at the 2024 model, they appear to have added additional vents. They don’t look particularly functional BUT Triumph appears to be aware of the heat problem, so I’m hoping they took a multi-pronged approach to it. I plan on testing one. If it’s cooler, I’m trading in!
It's a shame that Triumph don't make an adjustable vented area if this is a problem. From memory, a friend once owned a Kawasaki GTR1000 that had vents that could be reversed from winter to summer. One way would push the heat towards the riders legs and the other way pushed the heat out past the leg. Brilliant idea that is obviously needed on the Tiger 900 for a global market.
I bought a Tiger 900 GT Pro last week and it's my first bike. It's 4 degrees in the UK so I welcome some heat, although I've not felt it yet. We do get a couple of very hot weeks a year in the UK, so will be interesting to see then.
I have /had shoei, arai, scorpion, bell shield And yes there is a difference in just about everything.
In a Scotland we considerr this a plus - thank you Triumph.
Same here in the North East US. I thought it was a bonus feature 😂
what price what quality
I know now why I feel it do hot! Off course, the radiator... i thought it was just running overheated . . .
Hey thanks for the great review! How would you say this compares to the Shoei RF-1400?
Scorpion 🤣 they don't play in the same league. Arai,Shoei 👍
You should never be STUCK in traffic… ever…. On a motorcycle…
Filtering is not legal here. :)
Great for the winter ❄️
I’d say my Corsair x is my loudest helmet my scorpion r420 is second, my Roof Desmo is my go to helmet despite it being for a round head and having a slight hotspot, it’s quiet and it’s dual homologated , which I don’t know if any other modular helmets that are safety tested in both closed and open (what they call “jet” configuration) I like riding with my Desmo in jet mode slower speed. Arai is correct about the egg shape that’s basic 8th grade physical science. I have heard they won’t do drop down visors because it compromises the safety. I think testing is not as relevant as crash data , I wish we had longitudes patient data post crash for all the helmets. If we ever go to single payer (ha fat chance since it’s so radical it will make a life long ECU social democrat blush) there would be huge advantages in data available for safety.
Get the aftermarket air deflectors and you will be absolutely fine, you need to get them extended
scorpion blows most helmets out of the water in my opinion. and anything is better than a ruroc
Arai is the best
I have this deflectors about a year. Here in Grecee the weather is hot also at summer. They almost do nothing ! The bike is not for hot climate sadly. I have to sell the bke that i love. I can't find another modification to solve the heat problem.. The designers of the bike must have thought it.
Hi Thomas, thanks for adding to the discussion! I am also sadly considering selling this bike because of the heat. I find it so unbearable, it is impossible to ride for 6 months out of the year here.
