It’s 2024 now and a large part of the USA experienced a total solar eclipse. I wonder where the solar eclipse scene in this movie was filmed.

I now find that background music "cringe worthy" I hear it and everything I see turns brown, orange, or green the walls become paneled and are trimmed in plastic...Scary.

I was so happy Molly got in to UCLA. I hope she made the volleyball team there. I really like the fact that Dunc got more mature and realized that Molly needed to do what she wanted and not what he wanted. I think Harry and Dunc are gonna have a bromance of their own.

C’mon mom lighten up. All he wants to do is catch her at a vulnerable time and possibly get a little broken off piece… Also, Dunc is a sociopath.

After Harry was paid the $75 he says, "Why don't you find somebody else to tutor you." This is about letting go. After someone learns something it is time to move on. It is time for the teacher to let the student go.

Breeding, dating patterns are passed down from out parents to us to our kids. Harry will have a daughter who falls for someone too old for her.

While Dunc is grabbing Harry by the shoulders Harry can see Dunc is a crazy man. Dunc as Harry calls it later in the boat has, "LOST IT"!!

The use of image stabilizing software here produces some really interesting results between the characters and background. Like this can be a new art form. The film as it originally was must have been very shakey and almost unwatchable.

Miss the 80's was a good time

It's interesting that Harry's parents believe Harry doesn't have enough time to tutor and earn money but he has enough time to be in a sport that doesn't pay. It is also interesting that Harry doesn't like sports but once you tell him he will get a reward, a Varsity letter, and an achievement of being the youngest to get a varsity letter, now he is all in. It is also noteworthy that at first Harry doesn't like sports but when Dunc is ruining it for everyone Harry is very concerned and trying his best to perform his function.

Both Dunc and Harry want Molly to give up her education and being in a location she wants and achieving. If Molly were to not get the math grade she wanted and not transfer to UCLA then BOTH Dunc and Harry would dump Molly anyway. Molly, a 19 year old kissing Harry, a 14 year old is statutory rape. Harry already has want Molly wants and he tries to prevent Molly from having the same experience. When Harry's mother tries to prevent Harry from having the experience of a lifetime then the audience is supposed to not like Harry's mother but when Harry tries to deny Molly the experience of a lifetime then you are supposed to feel sorry for Harry. Harry's mother does not want Harry to have money or a job.

Wow, this movie had some pretty major star power for the time but the quality of the actual film seems more like a cheap rental porn vid of days gone by. Still it was nice to see Melissa Sue Anderson in a role post-Little House even though by today's standards she'd be thrown in jail for kissing a minor. Also sweet to see her boyfriend character Dunk take a liking to her fawning young admirer Harry (Doug McKeon) up to the end. Why I never saw this movie when I was much younger I don't know. But I have to say this vid version gave me vertigo, I guess it was recorded on 1980s VHS?

I wonder if this film was directed by Michael Landon, because Molly (Melissa Sue Anderson) the blonde boy Harry and the boy with the blue jacket were all on Little House on the Prairie. The boy in the blue jacket played Elmer Dabson when he was running against Nellie Olsen for class present.

Cute movie!. Melissa has such a pretty face even with the short hair but she suited her natural long blonde, thick golden hair like on little house on the prarie.

I don't understand why the guys were buddies when they both had a thing for the same girl. It just seems.. weird.

Such a cute, sweet and wholesome movie!

A feel good movie even though heartbreaking at times but this is life and reality and the age of youth and innocence, hence "An Innocent Love."
